Hello, It's Saturday, I am HERE with POO

No dog, No Hubby, Just Me, Myself and I.
Something new and old, something I had to buy.
Something New, that I did NOT buy.
The story might be long. Careful, I can hear you Sigh.
God sent me Angels, in fact there were Two.
Something I really like, a Freebie that is New!

I will save the best for last. POO stands for a Post about Perfectly Ordinary Objects

EOS, landed on my porch with my Wal-mart Friday AM delivery. Anything they leave, by accident, we are allowed to keep. For myself, it its expensive I take it to the store, but this wonder filled bottle is only $2.50. Its Plant Based Dish Soap.

Cuts grease, easy on skin, no scent (YAY) It is Climate Positive! I love it and will be buying it from now on.

I was not going to Mention BOB but I just remembered one other thing we got FREE for WM, was Greek Yogurt with berries in the bottom and Bob LOVES it. I have tried to get him to eat yogurt and he always refused. Now that is his evening snack.
Since I mentioned Bob, and to be Fair, here is Beau with great news!
For two weeks we have had RAIN, for 10 days, it was morning showers, now it has changed to evening and we are so happy. We walk at daybreak, we are getting lots of rain and we can still walk at daybreak. The storms are loud and flashy,
LIKE THIS, on Thursday at 3PMStorms here come FAST and Furious and this one put down 3 inches in 1 hour. The Noise was LOUD

We need a new I am a FRETTER! I research until I give myself headaches. I really want a Keurig. I think I want one. For two weeks, I have spent HOURS researching on line. I emailed Blog friend Ginny, because she has one, and she said she loves hers and a few details. I answered with
But What IF I Hate it! Even the cheap ones are expensive. I prayed each day that God would give me the wisdom to know which one to buy.
IF I spend the MONEY, and hate it, I will still Need a Coffee Pot.

Thursday Morning, I went out for a few errands and stopped in Goodwill, since I was next door to look for a straight Kitchen Chair, to use when Bob and I do his sit-down exercise. I use his wheel chair, but it has arms. Our kitchen chairs have rollers and that would be a NO. They don't lock like the wheel chair PLUS they also have arms.

Not a chair, nothing I wanted, and as I turned to leave I landed in the Small Appliances Aisle. Right in front of my face I saw a big fancy Keurig!
While standing there debating if it worked, was it worth the gamble  of 9.99?
Angel #1, came to me and said, I have that model and its fantastic. She told me all about it and I decided to buy it. She said lets check it out first, I can tell if it works.
She plugged it in, pushed and pulled and said, Oh No, the pod clip is gone, this will not work, see this? its supposed to have a spring and snap shut. This is not good.
Angel # 2, walked towards us and she had in her hand, a Keurig!

A smaller, more beautiful one. Both Angels tested it, and decided it was a good buy. I said so I will be Gambling 10.00 dollars that it will work and that I will like it, I can handle that.
Angel 1 and Angel 2 said in chorus
IT'S not 10, it''s only $1.49!!!!  When I got to the register, she said, are you registered with us? I said No, but I don't shop much, I will skip it. She said, if you give me your name and phone number, the price of the pot is $1.49, not 9.99.
The 2 angels did not explain I had to register but this girl said, If you come on Thursday, every thing with a yellow sticker in the store, is 1.49. Come the next Thursday every thing that was yellow has a blue sticker and is 50 percent off.
OY VEY! I may turn into the best thrift store shopper I know, Linda of Linda's Journal, who is Queen Of Thrift Store Shopping.
The good news is, it's only 1 mile away.

UPDATE; GOT THE PODS, AND IT WORKS PERFECT .
.
IT IS THE PERFECT SIZE, FITS UNDER CABINET AND THE LID OPENS.

So now I am praying someone will sit a chair out on the curb! Last month, a house Beau and I walked by has SIX kitchen chairs and a table out at the curb.
I did not know I would need one then.
The Pot Works, I ran water through it, and vinegar and water, but had no PODS.
Will keep you posted, if we like it. PODS coming with WM art delivery
See you Next Week End, I will be popping in to see all of you over the week end.

Did I tell you I have a TURTLE living in the pool?

I have worried and worried if Tommy T, will live, but he has been in there since the 4th of July. I put chemicals in the pool to keep it from causing a mosquito problem. I can't see him to capture him and take him to a real pond, because of the algae. Yes, he can get out, because I researched with AI and made 2 places he can get out.
Also with all the rain, he can get out without the help. its full and running over.

POO (perfectly ordinary objects)

January of this year, I bought 8 oz. unbreakable plastic glasses and showed them to you in one of my Sparkles posts. This week I ordered the 12 oz and took these photos to use for show and tell.
Good news: I have new glasses
Bad News: I have to de-clutter the kitchen cabinets to fit them in
Good News: Thrift store will be happy and photos of the de-clutter will give me another boring post about POO (perfectly ordinary objects)

Ann posted her drawing of this bunny and duck and Voila!

Is a leaf just a leaf? (POO)

While walking I found 2 leaves, ginormous Maple Leaves. I spent hours trying to get a shot to show you just how big....(POO perfectly ordinary object)

Eleven Inches Wide by Eight inches long!

I hid my face in shame.

Christmas Past 2025 a Santa and something Red

how we took selfies Before Cell Phones Took Over our Lives.

Christmas Past, In 2006 (we did have indoor bathrooms/WC and mirrors and tiny cameras.)

(NOTE: researchers, don't bother to see when smart phone came out, I already did it for you, 1992. But I got my first cell phone in 2005, not smart, not a real phone, a prepay to use on my 17 mile, 45 minute commute in Florida traffic to the job I stayed 1 year longer because of the commute and retired.
I finally caved in 2015 and got a tiny cheap smart phone and here I am with 4 cheap androids smartphones under my belt. I should say in my hand)
PS I paid $119 for the one I have now in 2023, and I LOVE IT.. all the others were under 100. I replace them about every 4 or 5 years.

Random Shots of (POO)

I left these items sitting on the counter overnight. I use CLUES to make myself remember things I want to do for just in case I forget to look at my list of  To- Do Today. Guess what 4 things it was to remind me to do. Answers below....SCROLL Baby Scroll  (POO) Perfectly Ordinary Objects

Peel and cook the apples for Bob. Cook Rice Pasta for Beau and Mama, Make Mama's Granola, Cornbread baked and put in freezer. ALL for the coming week.

I SAW, I SNAPPPED! it looks like the glass cracked and is leaking liquid glass. What do you see?

I found this homemade business card, in a snack bag, with a small rock.
Tree Service Advertising. Cheap !! Glad it did not hit the window.

Received the above in my email, stating Bob's Calamine Lotion, 2 bottles for 5 dollars, was delivered by Walmart. No, I did not order just that, I twas part of this order, total cost $159.00

Default delivery on my orders say, leave in baskets under white bench on porch.
the white bench was moved, 4 months ago for the wheel chair bench, and the baskets stored under the bench, when I order I pull them out and sit in front of the wall. This time I forgot to move the basket,
The girl piled all the groceries in one spot. There is a 25 dollar ham, a pie, bread, eggs, a lot of things.
I watched the young man, slide the basket out, gently place the package in and slide it back... which one do you think got 5 stars?
No, I did not give her a bad star, I just did not answer the email request. These people are saving my life driving my shopping items to me.
I am thankful for them, no matter where they place them.

Just because I had the app open I Instat toned his email photo.

Daily Life as Caregiver (POO)

On the way to Publix, a man is caving a giant tree stump into a Octopus, with tenacles wrapped around a sea horse, a star fish. Its been months. I have to get out of the car to get the head of octopus, will do that when it is done.

For those of you who don't remember, POO is making a post out of Perfectly Ordinary Objects.

Sunrise from front porch. Joy!

I have dropped to much weight and Google gave healthy ways to gain weight, one of which was
CORNBREAD. I do love it. I cook, and then scoff a big piece and then put half in a container and half in freezer and between meals it's Happy Cornbread Time~

Standing watching the workers who have been working on the house of 7 cars across the street, I spied with my little green eyes this view of the front porch. Dan moved the bench to make room for the wheel chair ramp.. Now I can see it from inside.

Caregivers are Super Heroes, in comfortable clothes, that do the dishes by lamplight.

The Egg, the frying pan and 2 lizards

Poo (perfectly ordinary objects) Egg and Lizards, what is more ordinary.
I just wanted you to see where I put the egg when I make my egg, vegan mayo, French bread breakfast sandwich. Cool Egg Holder, Bob's breakfast cast iron skillet.
HOW DO YOU KEEP YOUR EGG FROM ROLLING OFF THE COUNTER?
Below was a funny story, I was standing throwing dish water out on the weed patch when I heard a loud rattling sound, stepping 2 steps to my left, there was a battle going on between two very large male brown anoles. They were fighting and by the time I returned with cell phone, they had parted and having a stare down. The second photo on vamoosed when he saw me aim the cell.
Guess now what they were fighting over..

A FEMALE OF COURSE, OF COURSE..

here is the answer, the above photos are from last week, the below are from Sept and I never used them. we have a colony of thousands, and we love them. a cheap source of entertainment.
THE LOVING COUPLE

Cuban Tree Frog with sucky feet.. we love our wildlife, picture from the archives, none last year or so far, no rain.

Dukes Mixture

I ordered silicone ice trays and WOW! what a deal. They came with lids, the bottom is soft. Turn upside down and you can push out the cubes you want, of twist slightly and all come falling down. Thanks for telling me about them Ann. Fresh in the freezer straight from Amazon and no cubes on the floor. My first ever ice trays that came with a Ice Tray Manual, both sides with photos. I am still giggling

Duke's Mixture 2.  Above are the shopping bags I take with me to Wal-Mart. 3 weeks ago, I purchased 2 of the bags with wine bottles on them and the other one is what bob's hearing aids came in.
the big bag I have had since selling Real Estate in early 90's
Those wine bags are PERFECT they stand up by themselves, they have pockets to use or not, and I wanted a couple more but they were not to be found in WM which is where I got them.
I like the stand up kind, the others are all floppy and fall around while trying to fill them.

Now I need to make a sign to hang on the steering wheel that says get them out of the trunk
Dumb bunny.

My morning BP pill,  sits in my coffee cup, next to the coffee pot, I have not forgotten it  a single time since I store it there.
If you are pondering what is Dukes Mixture, it means to me a hodgepodge of whatever.
Found on WWW

What does Duke's mixture mean?
Years ago there was a "Duke's Mixture" pipe tobacco that was "low end and
The public snickered at Duke's Mixture brand, because it was low end, was a thrown together stew of tobacco odds and ends, and this led early on to the phrase duke's mixture and we sometimes still hear used today, to mean a hodge-podge of something.
