TOPS Gift

Some of you asked to see the gift I received at TOPS party. These beautiful earrings, were made by an artist in our Group. She paints and creates a jewelry Line.

Funny Story.

18 presents, Large to Small

In the center of the Table 

was a present so small.

Look closely! see that tiny present by the yellow book?

 Nancy looked at me and said this is my first TOPS party, you said bring a small gift to share and I did and now I am embarrassed .We joked and I said something about Look every one, can she stay with a teeny tiny present? There was much laughter.

As the presents were passed, and the game ended. Guess where that teeny present was? In front of ME!

With much laughter, I unwrapped a pill bottle with a beautiful little pink jewelry bag and inside were her custom made earrings.  Great things do come in small packages.

I love them on my crystal bowl,

I love them in my Charlie Brown tree,

and most of all I love them on ME!

Through The Looking Glass

I am not Totally VAIN and have not fallen through my looking glass into Wonder-if-she's-crazy Land.

The story is, I purchased another 2 fancy pants, better known as jeggins, the $3.88 cents kind you might remember.

Three of my 6 new leggings have bright pink in them. I have searched for earrings with PINK, not to be found EXCEPT in lengths of 3 to 4 inches... I have no neck. LONG will not WORK.

I like mine shorter. I found the big 4 inch earings on the left block above.

I Came home and De-constructed them, removing the short pink thingy and customizing to my liking. NO, the long ones did not come with two hooks. I forgot to take a photo of the BEFORE, thus the two hook photo.

The rest of the Story is.... While trying to get a decent shot of the earrings I may have gotten carried away and takes 10 or so selfies.

The photos went from Tablet to Google Photos and auto created a collage.. I did not like it, and while downloading the photos to create this collage in PicMonkey I ACCIDENTLY clicked on something that made an animated gif, not of me but of Black Eyed Susan.

Fret NOT... Animate Susan is coming soon to a blog near you...  You know I love NEW STUFF... I found the Gif Thingy in Google Photos and …………………………… That's All Folks

My Mad Mind has a question

I found a question I wanted to ask all of you..... Do you have a favorite pair of shoes?


my answer is YES, mine are the ones above, Crocs Swiftwaters. I wear them everywhere I go. I came out of Wal-Mart with a loaded basket, and as I walked in my crocs, I glanced down and thought how much I loved the crocs. Next thought that slithered through my MAD brain, I paid more for the shoes than the pants and shirt I had on. Next thought was, add in the earrings and I paid more for the shoes than everything I had on.
$3.88 blouse, $3.88 leggins $20.00 Earrings...$27.66, shoes $34.99.... as I wandered along pondering all this amazing STUFF while watching the above shoes stepping along... I noticed a very fine piece of flat twine/rope about 2 feet long, laying about 10 feet from the back of my SUV.

My Mad Mind thought... that looks like a garrote, it could be evidence in a murder... which leads to my other question for today...

Do you read books or watch movies enough that you know what a garrote is????   Evidently I DO!!!!

Make it Three questions.. it just occurred to me to wonder if sandals are shoes???? What do you think?  I and The Internet Say YES, sandals are shoes, as are boots and slippers.

Makeup..YES/NO

no makeup, brown spots/discoloration
1 drop concealer covers discolorations
1 drop of matte makeup on a make up brush .

Vaseline on lips because of wrinkles, I don't wear lipstick

Cant wear mascara/eye shadow due to allergies, but would if i could and did in the past, AFTER I moved out of Daddy's House where it was not allowed. I also had my ears pierced when I moved out.
Here I am 55 years later, still wearing earrings and makeup. 

I try to make it look like I don't wear makeup, my niece in PA asked what do you use for your skin, it looks flawless. the answer was
MAKEUP

 Why would I not wear it? Takes under 5 minutes, Walmart cost $6.00 for concealer, $7.00 for makeup... they both last about 3 months..

I never leave home without doing this... NEVER!  I purposely cut off the hair in photos because I was fresh out of shower with wet hair and you do NOT want to see that...I have never dyed my hair, it is three shades of gray.. NOT 50 shades of gray.

I watched several makeup videos for Senior women and  women over 70 and learned a few tricks on color and application.
Rule 1 was match it as close to the color of my the skin on my neck. I  use Makeup brush to swirl into pores...
if you use a make up brush be sure to wash it with soap and water once a week, also sponges should be washed.

Do you wear makeup? If so how much and what kind and how often. Talk to me...

I started by buying at Walmart, but moved to Amazon because WM is out of what I need when I need it.

Top of To-Do list was Re-do the earrings I made last week

I showed you my new wedding band in a prior post, the black and silver ring is a favorite and is about 20 years old 

Every day, Amazon tagged me with rings I had looked at, emails, Facebook, beating me down.

They KNEW I looked long and hard at rings with stones.

Every ring I ever stared at kept appearing magically.

Facebook was covered in silver rings.

Fake Stuff is IN right now, or so I am told.

So Being completely bold,

I said YES and

Now I own a Fake Sapphire Birthstone.

Amazon Won...I love it.

What She Did

I closed my blog for the week end, I did not post and I did not comment on others posts. Sorry if I ruined your super bowl game viewing by turning off my comments. 😁

#1 accomplishment was writing all the easy, peasy healthy recipes I have printed off the internet onto  the spiral thingy index cards, to avoid being buried in a landslide of papers each time I opened the cabinet that I stuffed them in.

#2 accomplishment was writing this Monday post.

Thursday at our TOPS meeting , All 26 of us brought items from home we no longer wanted, laid them out on tables, with a  paper under each item. We all had a number, mine was 25, and we would write our bid for the item. When the leader called time up, we each went to what we bid on and if we were highest bidder, we picked it up and paid for it. 6 items for 7 dollars.

( Christmas earrings, barbells, index card keeper, 5 sided grater, 2 blouses)

P.S. out of about 70 items, there were only TWO fights because 2 people picked up the items and purchased them even though they were not the highest bidder

Yes, I am serious! one gave in and let the highest bidder have it, the other refused and said but I really want these books. They were worn out paperbacks.

the animal print below is a dressy blouse, made from that slinky material that hides all faults. I had to attend a funeral on Friday and had decided not to go because I did not want to go shopping for a blouse that fit. There it was, my size and perfect. An expensive blouse for ONE DOLLAR...

During the funeral, Out of the corner of my eye, I could see all the covert looks at my blouse and could tell they were stunned by how well I looked in it. heh heh heh I think some of them may have noticed I had on custom made by MadSnapper earrings that matched....🤣

Ears to ME

Forty plus years ago, I had my ears pierced. In 2006 after retiring, I stopped wearing them, mainly because I rarely go anywhere to 'dress up'.

Weight loss = Thinner face (for some reason the weight comes off face/wrist/ankles and not the middle parts)

Are you thinking what the heck does that have to do with photos of Earrings?

I got a bee in my bonnet that I would MAKE MY OWN EAR RINGS,

probably from Ann and Pam, fellow bloggers who are CRAFTERS.

I decided to MAKE MY OWN earrings because each time I look in the mirror,

I see my EARS and think I now look like an ELF.

(also while staring at my ears I have realized the shape of my head is an EGG)

My thought is if I hang earrings on the elf ears standing out from the egg shaped head, people will look at earrings and not the ears.

When I said this to hubby, he said I can tell you when men look at women it is NOT at their EARS.

(now I am afraid to look and see what MEN see when they look at me)

I made 4 pairs, 2 shades of blue, black and white. 

I am inserting a WARNING here, for just in case you try it yourself.

 Look below, center of photo, see that wire thingy? I made a pair with that and when I put them on Could NOT remove them from the lobes, on the EARS on the side of the egg shaped head.

HELP!

Bob. help me! I can't get it loose... a few   words later, I snarled LET ME DO IT... at a cost of almost losing my earlobe I got them off and will never ever never use that wire again.

I might have mentioned this ear thing in a prior post. I also told you I bought 3 new pair of earrings the day after Christmas in a prior post. The thing is they are to long, they swing and touch my neck and I can FEEL them...  The question comes to mind, just how many posts about ears and earrings can one blogger post?  Ears to you and Ears to me!

Wal-Mart Capers... again

Inside Walmart early AM this past Saturday, amazing jewelry boxes that look like shoes. Tiny little drawer and places to stick rings and earrings..

 Outside Walmart 2 female ducks ignoring the male, I almost let my basket roll into a car while trying to get this photo with my pocket camera. where is the long lens when I need it.

I was parked next to this Wannabee Hummer, and was admiring it when the man that owned it came to the car.... he was 89 if he was a day.... Men, they never get to old for toys...
