TIP How to double your gloves

I use a lot of Desitin (AKA, Glue) and I use 3 to 4 gloves a day
and a box goes quickyl.used the box of 100 quicky. I had a lightbulb moment and decided to cut the gloves in half and make 2. It works.

On the other hand, he he he, I cut my own hair this past week end and sent this photo to my brothers wife and said this is my first haircut by me/myself and I, Bob can't help anymore, not even the sides and back.

Check out the free smile, but look at the Green eyes. I have anti glare and could not retake the horrid photo. Please Just.Look.At.The. Eyes.Only.

Beau said to tell you its HIS job  to make you smile

Dementia LOOMS

Dementia LOOMS, or maybe I am just crazy....
I have 14 black T-shirts hanging in my closet.
Scoop neck, Round neck, V-neck
different lengths, butt long, all different lengths, some below butt long and slight scoop and long scoop in back.
Above t-shirt on the left came with the knot on one side.
the one on the right was straight, longer in back, I used a hair clip to hold up one side.
When dressing to take bob to heart doc, I wanted the clip one. It's warmer and the office is cold. Twice through the shirts and not there.
I yanked out the one on the left and dropped I over my head and ran out the door fussing about where was the clip one.
Back home again, as I removed the blouse I had on, I noticed it was the clip one, I could not find it because I HAD IT ON. OMW!!!!!!!!

Earlier that day I jumped out of bed and I ran in the kitchen and wrote gabapentin on a pink sticky to put on my wallet to remind me to ask the doctor if it might help bob's legs.
As I stuck it on my wallet, I pulled out the white paper to see what it was, and it said....
GABAPENTIN

Our dog Beau has been on the drug for 2 and a half years and it works on his legs. What's good for the dog should be good for Bob. Just Sayin

I did get bob there, I did ask, and Doc did call it in, and we are trying it, both notes worked, I did not lose my keys or get lost on the way to doc office.

We are testing it starting with 1 each night for a week, 2 each night for a week and if that doesn't help 3 each night for a week and back to the doc to report how it worked.
He has no slept more than 3 hours in a row for 2 years, because of his legs burning.
The past 4 nights he slept 6 hours. we are hoping they will help with his walking, which is really bad.

Tips for YOU

I am always looking for ways to hide the fact I am eating Oatmeal! I toast oats, sunflower nuts, Rasins in Ninja Oven, I like a handful as a snack or eat it with a little soy milk for breakfast, mixed with rice cereal or cheerios.
I found a recipe on Mari's blog, My Little corner of the world, for homemade granola bars. You can get her recipe on the link. I have a short list of what I can eat due to IBS.
I made only one bar. I had just enough oats toasted for one bar.
I simply added maple syrup, natural crunchy peanut butter to the oats, Rasins, stirred, pressed it down into a bar, and left it in the fridge. Mari used honey; honey doesn't like me.
I just break off a small piece with a fork and that is my snack and hidden heathy food that is yum

Olives are a good source fiber, taste, and have 7 good reasons to eat them. One of those benefits is aid the digestive system. I put them in my rice pasta salads with yellow peppers..
click HERE to find 7 benefits

I changed sugar to sugar cubes, because My hubby's hands shake, and he has memory issues and when he spills sugar on the counter, he doesn't remember to wipe it up. in Florida we have any problems.
I store the 1 lb of cubes in 2 containers that are easy for him to hold and keep the small container, because he can pull out 2 cubes with fingers and drop in his coffee.
No sugar on the counters. I eat zero sugar and don't bake, and this is working well.

Clever Tips

My large all in one Desktop was not quite high enough. Clever Me searched the house for something sturdy and about 3 inches tall, to lift the computer a little higher. I found something in the closet to raise it 3 inches. Can you guess what it is? I will tell you the answer AFTER you read how to make a pie. you may skip the pie if you want to, but I will KNOW!

Below is my clever recipe for 30 minutes from start to finish, chicken pot pie.
1 can chicken breast or rotisserie chicken if I have it
1 can Cream of Mushroom soup
1 can or bag of mixed veggies, mine is carrots and peas.
dump drained can of veggies in pot
Heat to boiling, and lower heat keeping at boil for about 3 minutes.
open the frozen double pie crust,
place one pie crust on cookie sheet to catch over spill
 pour hot mixture in crust,
turn other crust upside down, on top of mixture
pinch edges together and let sit 5 minutes,
carefully lift edge of top pan
prick with a fork a few times
Bake 20 minutes 375 or whatever works on your oven
Clever Cook is my 2nd name, I hate cooking. No thawing or prep, just open cans and frozen crust.

THE CLEVER COMPUTER RISER IS A NEVER USED GUN CLEANING KIT! .

Scam Alert during my Timeout Break

I got this in my feedly news feed.  While on my break/time out, I read emails

"Beware of new QR code scam involving unsolicited packages" found HERE

Scammers are sending packages with cheap things in side addressed to you, without a return address. Inside with the gift, there is a QR code to scan to find out who sent it to you. DO NOT SCAN THE CODE..

Now – the FTC and the BBB warn that those unexpected packages could contain QR codes to steal your personal information. The QR codes usually come with instructions, urging you to scan the code to find out who sent the package. When you scan, the QR code leads you to a fraudulent website aiming to phish more information from you, like your bank details or social security number.

get a package with no address and you did not order anything?
Should you scan the barcode inside to find out who sent it?

Clever Me! Tips for You Found in Drafts

Look what I found in my drafts, it's been there since Nov. 29, Not so Clever Me, forgot all about it.

Clever Tip 1: instant coffee I can drink. I bought this for hurricane season two years ago and we never used it. Power or no power We Gotta Have Coffee. This coffee was really good made with cold water and sugar for bob and saccharin for me. I give it a 10, with cold water, but have no idea how it taste hot. We used all the little pouches in 7 days.

Clever Tip 2: for 7 days of power outage we used two bags of ice per day, 1/2 bag in small cooler for easy access for Bob's Must have ice water. 1 and 1/2 bags in the large cooler.

I placed a small trash can that allows the ice chest lid to close, and put it under the tiny lid on top, allows for reaching in and getting what you want, and food in baggies stays dry.

I kept bottled condiments in the ice, a few cans of soda and bottled water and 2 bags worked for 24 hours.

Clever Tip 3:See the blue bowl? white tray? we knew Milton was coming. for 3 days before due date, I filled bowl and containers, and dumped ice trays all day each day and filled the freezer full of ice
Day of the storm our freezer  was jammed with homemade ice cubes and 2 burgers, loaves of bread and 2 baggies of left over spaghetti.
We woke up to the first day and no power in the entire county. Could not buy ice. The stored cubes kept the things until 2n day when we could buy ice for ice chests.

Clever tip 4: They day before the storm was expected, I put all our RX bottles of meds in the small blue chest, my name, address and phones on the outside, taped shut and they were ready to grab/and or float if we were flooded and hope to find them after the storm if we had no roof or house
In the large ice chest, I placed all important papers and anything I wanted to save, taped it shut and put our info on it in hopes it to would be found floating, or in the closet undamaged after the storm

Clever Tip 4: Clever me ordered these backpack pots/pans to sit on the grill to boil water and heat canned things.
the next morning, we fired up the grill, grilled the sausage and burger, and placed in the ice chest in the handy dandy small trash can and ate them cold on the by now thawed bread.  clever me, signing off now...
PS. the pots worked well but would be better on a small propane burner. They have handles but they are only 5 inches, and I burned myself twice trying to stir. They get hotter with lid on, but you can't see the water to see if it is boiling, and if i had it to do again, i would just forget them. I AM NOT THE CAMPER TYPE ... If we survive until next hurricane season, I will purchase a small propane burner.
PSS.. I know you are sick of hurricanes by now but I may need to refresh my memory next year.
PSSS: this could work for ice storms too

The Spatulas, the Jar and the Sunshine

I read in the news that the black spatulas and spoons for nonstick cookware, are poisoning us. Despite the fact I have used them on the nonstick pans for half my life, I bought these bamboo utensils, and they work great and now I am waiting for the announcement of bamboo is killing us too
😉😉😉

While taking the bamboo photo, I opened the blinds that close out the heat from the blazing sun from the DIRT YARD WITH NO SHADE THAT MAKES ME HAVE TO KEEP THE BLINDS CLOSED and took this to show you what photography opps I am missing in my kitchen because I paid someone 3500 dollars to ruin my sunny kitchen photography to show all of you.

Please do not judge me because I did not dust the jar first.

I simply did not even SEE it until the photos were in the computer.
Please just focus on the jazzy looking shadows and picture in your mind what the jar would look like if it had no dust and if the blinds did not have to stay closed, I would have seen it and dusted it off
I LOVE MY BLINDS OPEN IN DAY AND CLOSED AT NIGHT.

Sharing a Make Do, Tip!

All went well with the Melanoma and Volcano Removal. NO blood during the night and no pain for either of us.
I have a tip to share. I found the roll you see above, in the Dollar General store for just over a dollar. It is meant to use under glassware by placing it on the shelves, to keep them from sliding around and protect the glass. Having just struggled to get the lids off these bottles, I thought, cut these into squares and use them as bottle/jar openers.
Shocked to the core at how easy it is to open the lids with help from the square, I wanted to share it with YOU, my dear blogger friends. I opened a jar of olives without asking for help from hubby. One thing led to another, like the light of the sun shining through the bottle and here we are

6 years ago I purchased 2 round bottle openers made of rubber and they are worn out and I could not find replacements. cut two squares or circles, one for the bottom, one for the lid. Bob had to open each 1/2 gallon of my Vanilla Soy milk. I can do it myself now.
Make Do is my middle name.

Leaf Lettuce

Leaf lettuce and Hot Sauce things you might need to know.
If something is eating the leaves to your plants outside, spray with several drops of dawn dish detergent and Hot sauce in 1/2 gallon of water. it works on snails, white moth thingys, anything that chomps your leaves. Even better than Seven Spray or Dust. I spray any of our plants with this during bug season

I cut the end thing off of the leaf lettuce and laid it on a plate and it was so pretty I had to take a photo.
My IBS diet is limited, and I eat frozen fruits with Vanilla soy shakes twice a day because fruits and veggies cause fewer digestive problems if blended.
I put a few pieces of this beauty in the fruit drink and WHOA BOY! I could hardly finish the healthy drink. My beloved fruit ice cream shake tasted like fresh mown grass smells.
YUCK!
I can't eat leaf lettuce as in salad, because it upsets my stomach. I could blend it with Bob's Nestles Quick Chocolate Syrup, but that is even worse on my stomach. I did try Cocoa Powder in it and had enough gas to go to the space station. TMI???

Tips from Snapper on Friends Day

Today is International Friends Day and what could be better than Tips that will help all of you, My E-Friends.

TIP 1:  You can use the selfie mode on your cell phone as a mirror. You know, like when you are waiting in the doctor office and want to know if your hair is wild, and your nose is clean.
Plus, while you are checking your face, Art is where you find it!   Just snap a photo for your blog of the clipboard in your lap.

TIP 2:  Use Post it Notes on your calendar. I put the sticky note on the next date. It started at the top to remind me to give Beau his monthly meds. when completed move it to the next thing you need to remember. I keep mine over the phone in the kitchen.  I use bright colors to draw my poor aging memory to look at it... The night before the appt, I remove it and stick it on the pad on the counter where we cook breakfast. the sight of the sticky when I get my coffee warns me there is something we need to do today. I might invent one that slaps me upside my head to remind me.
Senior Moments keep rolling, rolling, rolling.  Forgot to wash the TOP sheet, 5 pillowcases, one fitted sheet were washed.  THREE days in a row.... NO coffee ready at wake up.
Once not on, Once had coffee but no water, once had water, no coffee...
Can I get by with a little help from my friends???
I MAY OR MAY NOT tell the story of why I was missing for two days....I am OK.
