Good Fence Thursday - Winter Residents

Comes November in the North and the leaves start turning gold.

The next thing you know it is turning really cold.

Leaves start to falling

and kids start snowballing.

And most of the cold retirees move to Florida's Winter Paradise for a few months.

which is the reason our winter population swells almost double from November through April.

Many types of ferns grow here in the ground and will quickly take over if not managed.

Below Whirlygig is one of about 10 plus in the yard of this home. Every time i see them madly twirling in the wind, 

I wish my mother could see them. she loved things like this. In fact she once wired a dozen pink plastic flowers on her dead of winter Azalea bushes.

Yes, we do have duck crossings and they are so cute waddling and holding up traffic.

City Walkabout - Banyan Tree

Banyan Trees also known as Strangler figs, are a common sight here in our town.. These are 2 of the ones on my City Walkabout. We have one in our Jungle.

There are many different types, not sure what this one is.. this is what Wikipedia on Banyans says

The Man of the house is watching Drag Racing

I put on my Go Walker Sketcher shoes, and Rebel In Hand, go traisping off through the city streets that surround our home.

IT WAS GLORIOUS!

And I only took 99 photos, trees, odd things, shadows and fences and even a street or two...
