Update on Bob and a lot of pics

Current Bob and Beau with egg sandwich breakfast. He rolled himself there all by himself.
Yay! He is still getting therapy and hoping to walk with a walker soon.

Photo dump for bob Photos After incarceration of 26 days in hospital/rehab home Alcatraz
Bob now uses his new loaner chair from the county and gets out of bed and in the chair and drives himself to the table.
we visited the Neurologist PA Thursday August 28, which was 5 months to the day since Bob stopped walking on March 28th.
He ordered lab work for Alzheimer check, orders to start the infusion RX again at double the strength, and we go to see the Doctor on Dec 29.
It's a long road, but he is doing better in home environment

we came home from doctor visit and found Beau in the middle of that bed. sound asleep.
I laughed so hard I forgot to take a photo. He is allowed on all things but not our bed. We think he thought the transport wheelchair man stole his daddy, and he would be gone again.
3 doc visits, since we have been home, 95 for the ride and 20 for the doc visit
Still cheaper than the jail he was in at 200 per day. Looks like we might have to rent the hospital bed another month.

the three of us, B and B are asleep, I am writing to all of you

Visit to Coastal Orthpedics to get the book you see below
Yay that boot is history now, the fractured ankle is healed after 6 week

The day he came home from the rehab home, waiting for the hospital bed to be delviered

A I am home smile; he never smiled one time in 26 days of rehab.

Shave and a haircut, free, he did the beard and shave, and the haircut is still growing back from
the shearing of his wool he got at the rehab home
I took these to prove it was growing back; He likes it curly not short

So good to hear of the improvements. Proof that you are a fabulous carer. Well done. I hope you are okay too. It has been a big strain on you, too. I hope everything keeps improving.

The adage that old age ain't for cissies counts for so much! There's just so much to deal with even without hospital mess. You two are troopers and the prayers continue for you both. I love that Beau felt the hospital bed was part of the furntiture! YAM xx

Hello,
I am so glad Bob is home and his treatments will be starting again. Just being at home makes you feel better, I know my hubby was happy to come home after just 8 days in the hospital. Miney would be on the bed too, she makes herself right at home. I will keep you, Bob and Beau in my payers.

People generally fare so much better at home. More work for you, but better all round for everyone.

The best part of all these pictures is seeing the smile on Bobs face.

Florida, of course, is becoming synonymous with Alcatraz these days! This is a hopeful post, Sandra, and it’s good to see these glimmers of joy and Bob’s steady improvement. Personal mobility must be such a key to an better attitude. I doubt that anyone ever provided better care than you. You are a trooper!

How wonderful to see that smile on Bob's face!!! That must have been a hoot, seeing Beau lounging on the hospital bed. If laughter is the best medicine, I hope you guys over-dose. (lol)
Now I want some of Bob's egg salad!

Big improvements and just being home helps so much. The fact he is smiling and getting around on his own is progress. That is so funny about Beau being on Bobs bed. Aww.

BEAU BEAU I have a mental photo of you on the hospital bed.
Very happy you didn't step on remote that raises and lowers it. I expect you would jumped to the couch quickly

TELL BOB I LOVE HIS BIG SMILE...MAY THERE BE MORE SMILES AND LOTS OF SUNSHINE IN THE DAYS TO COME

I'm happy to read that he wheeled himself to the table. That is good. The pup on the bed, that's cute. Funny how they do things like that.

It's great to hear Bob is improving and the boot is off! Beau sure looks happy to have you two around so much. All paws are crossed that Bob continues to improve, and the infusions help too.

You take care and I pray things continue to get better.

5 months already?! Wow. But I realize it has been a nightmare of a 5 months for you and Bob. He even looks happier in the pictures. How great that he is eating at the table and can get around in his wheelchair. God bless you for your dedication and loving care. I hope you are able to rest better and get more sleep than you were. Give sweet Beau a kiss from me.

Thanks for the update. Great to see that smile on Bob’s face. Being home is good medicine. Give him and Beau a hug from me. Made me laugh that you found Beau on the bed. A hug to you too for all that you have had to deal with. Good to see things are getting better though I know the road has been a long one and you still have ways to go.
