How did I get to my AGE and not know there are digital meat thermometers? I love this thing. Did you know you can hold it out in your hand and it gives you the temp in the kitchen? I had fun, it was bright sunshine, 42 degrees, and the house was cold in the bedroom, hot in the kitchen because of the sun. I walked the new gadget to the bedroom, 72 degrees, by the TV in living area 74, kitchen 78 and standing by the sliding glass door was 80.

Speaking Of Let Me Entertain me, I spent an hour watching from the picture window on the world in living room, three FPL Power trucks, replacing the line from the pole to the house across the street.
5 men, three trucks, 4 men in white hard hats, 1 with a yellow one. I discussed with Bob whether he thought the yellow was the boss, since he climbed the pole.
We discussed if the little guy was a man or a woman and he/she was tiny and did all the hard work, dragging the limbs to the chipper and tossing them in.
This was the most excitement we have had since the people moved out of that middle house, the one we called the house of 7 cars. we miss them.
Just in case you are wondering how I could see the men, with the trucks in the way, I ran from one side of the window to the other, to see past the trucks and then into the bedroom that gave the view of the backyard of the house they were working on

It's the little things that make life grand. Window watching or be in checking temps with a device, you were entertained. This is fun and I love your joy
Oh, I need one of those digital thermometers. My old standard one is not very accurate and sometimes the meat gets either overcooked or not enough. And watching the workmen across the street from your house? Oh yes! One of our favorite pasttimes too...or especially if there's any sirens going on out on the highway...you should see us scramble...but yes, if there's activity on our street, we are right there, looking out every window, trying to be discreet of course, so no one can see us. LOL. I love your post today. You sound much more relaxed these days, and that is a happy thing!
It;s always fun to watch someone else doing all the work LOL! Big hugs from all of us.
I have one of those thermometers but haven't used it for fun things like you have!
Yes - taking joy in all those little things is the best. Thanks for sharing them!
I am so entertained by you entertaining yourself LOL!
We take our entertainment where we can find it.

LOL... easily pleased, as am I! YAM xx
We have a meat thermometer just like that.
I'm glad you had some entertainment. It's so important to stay on top of the happenings in your neighborhood. You made me chuckle.
Have a fabulous day. Scritches to Beau and a hug to you. ♥
Window watching sounds like a lot of fun at your house. You’ve taught me something new about that meat thermometer. I didn’t know you could use it for checking the temperature inside the room.
Sandra I would have been right there with you watching..
Hugs cecilia
I would be interested in this for sure. Do you remember Mrs. Kravitz in Bewitched? She was so funny, she was the neighborhood snoop from behind her window. That would be us. I love your title, so cute!! And now are you worried about WHO will be the new tenants? What is that little thingy on top of their roof, it doesn't look like an antennae.
I LOVE those digital Thermometers. I bought my first one years ago when I was making jam/jelly and selling it at the farm market. Boy they come in handy! I can even get a temperature off one of the cats by holding it against their tummy, (they think they are getting a belly rub). I LOVED your art yesterday! THe cartoons were AWESOME - Just like YOU! Love Barb
Howdy, glad to meet you at last! If the FPL you mentioned meant Fl. Power and Light that made me smile. Mom and her then husband used to call it Florida Plunder and Loot because of the hight cost.
Love your Window on the World. You gotta have entertainment since the 7 car house people have moved.
Its been raining all night and it still continues to drip. We have our pumps going and they seem to be doing the job for us this time.
Lots of snow in the mountains so that helps our future water supply.
Have to run a few errands today despite the rain, so I'd better get a move on.

Hello,
I would like the digital thermometers too. I was watching similar trucks last week outside our house, they were cutting down and trimming trees for the power company.
Take care, have a wonderful day.
What a great title! (Yep, I'm singing that song to myself and the girls look like I'm nuts.)
I never thought about using our digi thermometer to measure the rooms' air, but that's gonna happen in 3 .. 2 .. 1!
I didn't know the meat thermometer told the temperature for the room!
Hey you can have fun any way you want.
I can't window watch from this house. Too many trees blocking the views. I'll take trees over window watching though! I also didn't know you could get temps from a meat thermometer. I guess that is good to know???
I bought a digital meat thermometer for my son for Christmas that actually works with an app on your phone.
I like when stuff goes on right outside my house and gives me free entertainment.
It’s fun to play Mrs. Kravitz once in so often.
What a great meat thermometer, maybe I’ll get one some time.
Yes! Taking delight in little things. I don't have a digital meat thermometer, but you wouldn't believe how many little digital thermometers we have (including indoor/outdoor). And how many atomic clocks. You already know how much time I spend watching my bean plant and the helium balloon. Hurray for little delights! I love you!!! I'm so glad you are getting some sleep! ❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕
I bought a digital one at temu, thought it is for taking temperature of me or the dogs... had always weird result... then I saw it is for meat LOL
Wow, I never knew you could get the house temperature with one of those meat thermometers! I've gotta try it. Reading about you watching what was going on across the street made me smile. Enjoy the rest of your day.
I always find it interesting to watch those line workers. It's a job I would never want to have.
Mark has had one for several years and uses it almost everyday. Since we are normally in our family room which is at the back of the house and that we have the mountain view with no homes behind us, we seldom know what's going on in front of our house. Glad you were entertained.
I watch the firetrucks the way you do. KITCHEN window patio and go to my window in my bedroom when the firetruck with the later in there. OH wow the meat thermometer digital really. Have the stick in the turkey or roast. MUST tell my daughter or her hubby. Both cook.
