The Tree that Was..part 2

click on photo to see details

Up on the roof there was a discussion goin on.... decision made... the man in the bucket with a chain saw went to work..

but not before the MadSnapper in the back yard, using the telephoto lens over the roof top...Got The LOOK

Almost exactly one year ago, the same type tree on the other corner of the house had to be taken down... CLICK HERE for former post last June.

MEANWHILE, red riding lawn mower waited patiently...for The Man From Mars to move it back around to the side of the house.

(This would be the man who said If i had a ladder and a chain saw and a helper I could have taken that tree out myself and done it faster.)

MadSnapper: Why do you have blood running down your leg? (he is on blood thinner)

Bob: I cut it on the riding lawn mower.

MadSnapper: How did you cut yourself on a riding lawn mower?????

Bob: I jerked and jerked on the rope to start it, and did not know I left it in gear, when it started it took off towards the street and I had to chase it and jump on it while it was moving.....

MS: WHAT! you could have cut your foot off.

Bob: not a problem, the belt is off and the rotor doesn't turn... I have to put it back on when I get time...

Cutting down trees is a big job. We had a huge old tree in our front yard we had to hire someone to cut down a few years ago. It made me kind of sad to watch it go.
Have a happy weekend Sandra!

Quite the adventure, Bob and the lawnmower. I'm glad he only got a scrape. ;)

LOL what can we say but boys and their toys. As they get older the toys get bigger and more expensive. Enough said. Have a fabulous Friday.
Best wishes Molly
PS seriously glad it was only a scrap.

Who needs to watch late night tv for laughs? I just read your posts--sort of early morning tv I suppose.

Best,

Not fun at all to cut yourself like that. Thankfully Bob got away with a scratch and scare. And you really got The LOOK there! :D

So sorry about his leg; glad it was not worse. Many years ago, John was on daddy's riding mower and it bucked up on him and my brother had to "save" him!!!

I love your humor, and your narratives are entertaining and very well written!

I'm sorry you lost another tree -- I didn't realize you live in the lightning capital of the nation. I'm glad Bob didn't get seriously hurt chasing down the riding lawn mower.

My goodness, life is one saga after another for you and Red Riding Lawn Mower Man.
So sorry your trees are being removed but better them than you guys being in danger.
Wish I could send you some of our plums. They really are tasty. When the "prune-plums" ripen they actually make better cake topping. They aren't as juicy and tart.
These Santa Rosa plums just taste like Summer.

Oh my GOSH!!! And he only even told you because you asked about the blood! We have people here who have cut off their heels and such with riding lawn mowers. That bald guy is looking at you like you are crazy. There is a show on T.V. about tree cutters, it is really dangerous. It is really expensive, but they deserve every bit of the money.

Would I be correct in saying Bob lives on the edge and enjoys pushing your buttons?
That was some operation in the cherry picker and NO Bob could not have done that!!!

I'm thinking this sounds like something that could have happened with Wade and his riding lawn mower. Guess it's a man thing...lol
That guy in the bucket looks a little grouchy

I SAW the look that guy gave you!!! GRRRRRRR.......
These men!!! LD actually HIRED to have our new water heater put in!! I am so proud of him!! It wasn't like he was sitting around with nothing to do......

My gosh Bob that could have been nasty. But admire his calmness about things :)

Glad to hear Bob is okay, that sounds like something mine would have done except we only have a pushmower and he is not allowed to touch it. LOL!

Looks like those guys don't appreciate the attention of the MadSnapper. Don't they know you will make them famous. Of course if OSHA sees them up there with out hardhats and other protective gear they might not appreciate the fame.

Oh my goodness...what a frightening scenario of the little red riding mower!! And your man on blood thinners! Goodness gracious.

And the 'looks' on the tree remover man...you know what they say about 'if looks could....'

Sorry we laughed but hubby and I both couldn't help ourselves reading about Bob and the lawnmower. Sure happy he got to the mower and was not badly injured. That was a huge tree and it would have taken Bob a long time to get it down and all cut up by himself. So sorry you had to lose your tree. Hugs

Husbands sure keep life interesting, and sometimes pretty scary! Now I am off to see the earlier tree removal.

Oopa! Hit something wrong so I am heading to the other side of your house for the earlier tree story instead of trying to remember what I wrote!

I can't believe I missed this...I have left the 'Bob search' open all day long and read off and on as time permits. This one just cracked me up!
