Laundromat Loitering # 4

The sheets in the washer go round and round, round and round, round and round.

Madsnapper walks the parking lot, round and round, all through the town....

If you sung that, you may be a mom.....

I  placed the wet sheets in the back of my Kia,  (yes, they were in a basket) and I walked in the DG store for bread, eggs and milk for the new empty fridge.  The manager and I discussed my washer woes, and his mother using the GPS to find his house and a few other fun things.

As I left I thought, you see one shopping center, you've seen a mall..... I suddenly realized why they call it a mall. Instead of one store, just go to 'them all"

Do you agree that if puns were deli meat, these would be the 'wurst?"

UPDATE! my new washer was delivered on 3/28 was destroyed, they took it back and yesterday on 3/8 over 2 weeks since I ordered it, they delivered AND IT DOESNT WORK. will not go through the cycles...I am still without a washer and since 3:30 yesterday have spoken to know one that can help.  today is another day .
Shame On Home Depot!

Laundry Loitering #3

Loitering - stand or wait around idly, or without apparent purpose.... the view while folding, a busy street, the traffic is a short 10 feet from the folding table. If you don't like the view, there is a print of a sea view out a an open window..

IF you were loitering with me, would it be in a laundromat, washateria, coin laundry or self service laundry? My grandmother never owned a washer dryer. She used a coin laundry, even in the 50's. It was an out door coin laundry here in Florida.

Remove the glass, it was open to the air. Only In Florida and Only 10 blocks from her home. I thought it was amazing..  I loved her home in Palmetto, Florida and I love to Drive to the cute open air coin laundry in her 49 ford

The Tides have turned, Did you think we were all washed up? Not yet.

I decided to Live and Let Dry, because You only Lauder Twice, and this post is From Washing with Love...

View out front door

View out back door........... I love Florida... Sunshine year round makes everything an adventure.

Laundramt Loitiering #2

I continued to SNAP! in the nook where my sheets went round and round. Sorry the pic of the round and round was not good enough.

I pondered why this was a quarter because my memory says PENNY bubble gum and I flipped back in time when I used to put 2 to 4 pieces of this in my mouth at one time...

Do any of you remember Dubble Bubble? I loved the gum, I loved the comics. PLUS it was a PENNY... Did you blow bubbles? I popped my bubbles so much I was always in trouble.

Do you still like bubble gum? I do, in a restaurant near us, there is a vintage gum machine, much like this one, the gum is 25 cents, as we leave I always get one and HOPE it will be GRAPE, which is my favorite. Once Bob said, aren't you getting bubble gum? I said "no Quarter' in a whine. He reached in and pulled out a quarter, dropped it in and handed me a grape gum... MY HERO

I am sure most of you remember this, and it is still around

Laundrmat Loitering #1

Laundromat.. an establishment with coin operated washers and dryers for public use. For details on WHY I am posting about laundromats go to my prior post. If you don't care why, or already know, please continue.

I have not been in a laundromat since 1984. Back then it was 10 cents for 10 minutes in the dryer and 3 quarters for the washer.

I wash Shocked! I say! I say! I wash SHOCKED! when I saw the requirement for washing my bed linens was SIXTEEN Quarters... that is FOUR DOLLARS! American . Per Load.

Plus I was embarrassed because I had to stop and read how to use, which machine, there were tiny ones for 2.50, very small loads, and giant ones for 5.00 for very LARGE loads, and they did not have cute little trays to lay the quarters in like they did 35 years ago.

In other words, I was a rookie! I felt like the other people were staring at me while I wandered reading instructions.

They had Lots of seating, but I did not need it, which made me sad, because I already knew how to use those. I took 98 photos in the 30 minutes it took to wash the sheets. Yes! you will see a lot of them soon. I walked around the block, I took pics looking out windows and in windows and across the street. I stayed close because I only have 2 sets of king sheets and I was afraid someone would steal them if  I did not keep watch.

The Good news was, I had a dryer at home and did not have to figure out how to use the dryer, and I can't believe I forgot to check how much the dryers cost.

The thing is, the dryer at home was NEW, never used. I had to get the book out to turn it on.... it was not FREE trust me.

I chose number 17, for a simple reason, Ann of SnapEditScrap, the nook it resided in had Fantastic Fodder for blog post, I could Snap while I watched/waited.
Don't fret, more is coming soon to a blog near you.
