Learning Curve on AI

The first time I opened ChatGPT AI, I opened the site, clicked on images, it said take a photo, clicked on that, my camera opened on iPad and I took a photo of our TV and sofa and ottoman with Beau in his spot on the carpet.
In describe what  you want, I typed put an elf on the ottoman, on a beach in Florida with palm trees.
YIKES! zoom in on the elf.
I cropped it below.

AI wants descriptive words and doesn't like simple commands

The 2nd time I used Chat AI, I took a photo of my framed photo of my cousin Andrea and I, in our back yard, when we were 5 years old.. I am on the left.
The photo hangs in my hall. I simply uploaded the photo and clicked on Sketch, kept it simple and said, place the two girls under a giant pecan tree in Savannah Georgia. WOW!

If we remove the barn, from the snapshot above, this is what the it looked  behind the buildings. The tall roof is Andrea's home, the short one on the right is the chicken coop.
I spent the first 10 years of my life, living in their chicken coop, that uncle Jimmy remodeled, into a 4 room and tiny bath home for us. 20 steps from their back door.
Born during the war, in 1944, this is Savannah GA 1949 in the sketch.
AI got it perfect, it is even more like us than the photo shows. It saw details not shown to naked eye in the small photo.
My 3rd time using Chat turned into all the sketches you have been viewing  over the past few days using old photos of Me, Bob and Beau.
Guess what just happened, I saw out to the right in blogger draft a pen and star, hovered and it said Google search, link your blog, I clicked it and it linked Savannah GA 1949 to the post. I did not pick the link Google AI did it. I will not be using this, it picked several things, all the links you see, and when you click it takes you to search the words it picked. I am leaving it because
Now you can see the city as it looked when I was a child.

First Cousin Terrell

Carrie is the daughter of my 1st cousins Terrell, Jaylin, granddaughter, top is Kyle, my brother's grandson. The last square is Terrell and wife Sharon

this is continued from a Prior Post about a call to my cousin Andrea.

After my call with Andrea, I messaged Terrell. Andrea's new phone # and address and the info that she had moved.
Earphones in I was playing on the iPad. While banging on the keyboard of Garage band, I heard my cell ringing, but it was ringing in my ears which meant the iPad was ringing.
Grabbing the phone, I saw Terrell's name on it but could not answer it. He hung up. I thought why my phone ringing on my iPad.

Oy Vey! Memory dysfunctional bunny, it was the iPad messenger ringing on my iPad, which is why the android phone would not answer. I quickly pushed video call on messenger, and it rang and rang and no answer.
I hung up and hit the Call back Terrell gadget. He answered laughing and said, I saw your call but by the time I got my granddaughter, Jaylin to show me how to answer you were gone.

He said you told me in a message that your nephew Kyle is at Georgia Southern College and Jaylin goes there too. She wants to know his name to know if she knows him. I said he is Kyle McCall. No wait, his Mom is McCall. OMG I can't rememer his last name. SENIOR moment. I quick pulled up FB and gave the last name.
Hanging up from chatting with Terrell, both he and Andrea I grew up with like siblings.
I emailed my brother all the details about Andrea and then sent a text to my SIL that simply said Tell Kyle he has a cousin at GA Southern with him. Same age. Both just finishing 1st year.

She flipped out and answered, OH NO, he has been dating a lot of girls, what if he is dating his cousin?
I quick messaged Terrell, advising him of her concerns, he replied with her last name and said Tell her its ok, Jaylin says she doesn't know Kyle
I sent Text to Janice, ALL IS WELL, KAYLIN DOENS'T KNOW KYLE!

Near Miss. ha ha

Bored? try googling, kissing cousins in the south... I found this info
There are 250,000 cousins married in the USA.. that is the ones they KNOW about...

First Cousin Andrea

This is Andrea, my 1st cousin and her granddaughter and two great granddaughters. There were only 8 paternal 1st cousins, and now there are 5 of us. They all live in Georgia except me.

Andrea husband of 60 plus years died a few weeks ago, and Saturday morning as I made my smoothie, ANDREA popped in my mind. just the one Word, and I dialed her phone.

Sandy, you called at the perfect time, I just sat down to rest up, and was eating a peanut. I said I had to swallow a peanut to call you when your name popped up like a light bulb. We grew up as sisters, next door to each other, in Savannah Georgia, the peanut state.

She said I sold my house, for cash, I bought another house and in 3 weeks I was out and into my new house. I have a new address and I wanted to tell you about it..

She had a story to tell me, we laughed until we cried at this story.
She has been her husband's caregiver for many years, and all of this last year he was so sick, she never left the house except doctors appts.
(Note: She only uses her phone for text and calls and has no clue about computers. )

Her son bought her an iPad and set up the Walmart App for her, and she ordered everything she needed delivered for the whole year.
Never any problems ordering. She did learn to browse pretty things.  She was browsing Amazon for things for the new house and decided, I think I can order this even though I have never ordered before.

Three days later, her granddaughter called, not the one above, she has a lot of grands. She said grandma, did you order something from Amazon? Well, yes, Sarah, I did.. Why?
Sarah replied,Thank you for the 9 dresses that came to our house today...

What? I did not order any dresses. Granddaughter explained she had 9 dresses in the cart, trying to decide which one she wanted or how many and Grandma, when you ordered you ordered all of them. Andrea came back with, what's a cart?
The next day her son called and said, Mom, do NOT ORDER anything else from Amazon, call me or Sarah and we will order it.

This is her new house and I eagerly await the next chapter of her life.

The Chicken Coop Home

AI and I creation

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!
This is Not a Chicken Coop
And I am not a Chicken!

Below my dear friends, is the chicken coop I lived in from age 2 until age 9.
I am on the left, my cousin on the right, the tall roof you see is her home, the small one is the
REMODELED Chicken Coop.
Time Period 1946-1953. I am sure those of you who read in prior posts that I lived in a chicken coop, were just a tad shocked.

The house below belonged to my dad's only surviving sister and her husband with two daughters. The photo is from Google earth as it looks now, the only difference back then, was it was painted white and black, had no yard to speak of because it was a dirt road in the country part of Savannah GA. My cousin inherited the house and still lives there.

WWII raged, we were desperately poor, I think most of the world lived under the poverty level if there was one then. My mother never had a job, she was a FEMALE, born in The South, had me at age 18, 15 days before she turned 19, 4 year later, 1948 my brother appeared. that is what good Southern Women Did back then.
the war raged. Food rationed,  no jobs, the apartment  tiny, only one room on the 3rd floor walkup. A tiny back yard, down 3 flights of stairs and a huge kitchen sink to wash clothing in, with clotheslines to dry them.
Something like this decayed building in Savannah shown in a vintage photo from those years.

Daddy was a meat cutter in a small grocery store. His pay was very little, but it included a case of Carnation Milk for my first 2 years. We never went hungry.
A few might shudder to think of moving a small family into a chicken coop.
to Us it Was Heaven!
Daddy's sister had married Money! Not Millions! Just a lot more  much further above the poverty level than we were. My Uncle had several acres of land, with pig pens, chicken coop and fields of flowers. He got rid of the pig pens,  and he made that chicken Coop into a home for us to live in, He built four walls to divide it.

Imagine A Square building, divided equally into 4 rooms, cement floors, just a wooden box.
Imagine the circles as doors. each room had 2 windows. the doors opened from room to room.
The floors were linoleum. Mother wallpapered every wall, floor to ceiling.
The kitchen had this exact sink in front of a large window. the bedroom my brother and I slept in, was the exact size of  2 metal cots, with blue striped ticking, stuffed with cotton, with tucks all over it.
I can still feel those lumps.
A bed in each corner, a tall skinny chest of drawers, the three pieces crammed next to each other was the exact size of the room. The sink in the bathroom was like a Childs sink, facing the door with barely room for the free standing metal shower stall. The commode tucked up against the side of the shower wall, facing
the Dreaded Closet with the MOVING red curtain for as a door.
I sat staring at that curtain as it slowly shifted, in and out, in and out. the MONSTER lived in there, the same monster that made me sleep with my hands and arms tucked against my body, protecting me from the closet monster that waited each night under my bed at night.
I loved living 20 feet away from my second Mother and my 1st cousin. We has oatmeal, they had bacon, eggs and the best toast ever. She made her toast in the oven, slathered with real butter and toasted. If they ate before I got up, there was always a plate left in the oven just for me. If she made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, she made two. I gobbled mine, and the last half of Andreas. She was a picky eater. Uncle Jimmy had a smoke house tucked up against our coop. I was terrified of it, even then, claustrophobic, but had no idea what that was. Because I refused to play house in the smoke shed when not in use, he built another tiny shed that resembles our coop, with a window and curtains and it was our girls only play house for years. Andrea was not afraid of monsters, or being shut in the smoke shed, but I did have a great big laugh when a tiny green lizard Trapped her inside. I was on the outside, the lizard just inside and she would not come out.
Do you think I may have scared the lizard further in the play house? I might have been a little jealous because she was the princess of the Big House and had any and everything she wanted or needed.
At that time I did not realize how blessed we were to have a Chicken Coop Home with eating privileges next door. I might add my dad's mother lived with my Aunt, giving me three mothers in one place.
the year I turned 9, Uncle Jimmy divided his land into room for 3 houses, and built us a 3 bedroom house. Daddy went to the bank and with his signature only borrowed $5000.00 to be paid back 50 dollars a month. A year later, we rented the house to friends and we moved to Kentucky for 5 years.
My aunt kept my first dog, Sticky Baby and collected the rent and paid the mortgage for Daddy.

Gary and Pat, 1957

There were 6  of these small books, each with 12 photos in it. Two were the photos you saw yesterday of myself and my brother as children. The others were of

this beautiful lady, my mother's sister, Pat. She was 9 years old when I was born in 1944 and was more like a sister to me than my aunt.

Gary was a few weeks old in these photos. The Odd thing is, most of the books they were in, were developed here in Bradenton, just a few blocks from the house we live in now.
The odd thing is, the photos of us were taken in Kentucky. Here were taken here. The 1954 photos of us were developed here, the 1957 developed in Somerset, Kentucky.
No idea how that happened. We were never here in those 5 years we lived up there.
I will never know.

On the 29th of September, I texted my cousin Gary, see below with his daughter, Stephanie. He replied quickly and said these photos are 70 years old today. It turned to be his Birthday and he was out with family for his birthday.
Gary was happy to be 70. All of us cousins, always celebrate when we reach age 64 and each year past that, because my grandmother, my mother and my aunt all died at age 63.
We are all well past 63 except for Gary's youngest sister, who is about to turn 60 on Dec 4th, 2023.
you met Shari and Bonnie in all my Cousins Posts. They are Gary's sisters.

Below Bonnie, Shari, and Sandra, ME the MadSnapper...  there were 6 of us, and Gary's brother died in 2020. My brother is the 6th, the one who mailed these photots to me. He does NOT allow photos of him on line.  This is the end of the photos that were mailed to me.... but wait there are more stories

Rocks-Ann One of Dozens of Cousins

this is continued from yesterday memorial post,

My cousin Bonnies face, appeared on my phone, and Bonnie said are we still on for Rocks-Annes Memorial Service tomorrow?

I started to whine, I really don't want to go, I rarely saw her alive, why go when she is not there, I don't have anything to wear to that beautiful church. I only own leggings and t-shirts. Bonnie answered, that's ok, it's ok to say no. She sounded sad and told me she was in traffic trying to get back home from Sarasota. She had just left the hospital where her lifelong friend, 65 years old is dying from breast cancer. she had been to say goodbye. We talked a little and she started to choke up and we hung up.

For the next hour, I whined to Bob I need to go, I don't want to go, I don't have anythingggggg to wearrrrrrrr... his answer is always if you don't want to don't go or go and where what you have, what is the big deal?

I dialed her number and said.

I changed my mind; I will go with you. She said you will, you know you don't have too. I said no, I will go. She turned and Said, Mark, you are off the hook as my date tomorrow, Sandra will go with me.

I spent the time until bed, INSIDE MY HEAD, thinking what people would think of an old woman at a funeral in leggings and shirt, fretting myself into a tizzy. Next morning, I tried on every legging in the closet, and Bob said wear the tiger pants. He meant leopard but that is a moot point. I said I will just wear black and black to blend in.

Next day at 12:30 Bonnie pulled in the driveway at my house, came inside and tried to keep dog hair off her black pants while she gave ATTENTION to Beau and drove me to the church.

The church is exactly ONE MILE from my front door. see above blue line. This is how I was dressed; except I did wear shoes. Well, not real shoes. I only own sandals.
this is Florida and it was 96 degrees.

She asked why I changed my mind and I said because you were crying about your friend, and I did it for YOU.
I muttered about how mortified I felt to go dressed like I was, and she said you look fine.
We drove up and she said Look there's a girl in shorts.
Guess what? We saw 4 other women in leggings and shirts, the deceased cousins' sisters, also my cousins, were dressed in white capri pants and striped t-shirts and one woman had on a blouse only, she might have considered it a dress, but in my head, it was a top only (see, I was judging Like I thought they would be judging me). Every female in the building had on SANDALS.
Including Bonnie. This is Florida and it was 96 degrees.
All my fretting over nothing.

I am whispering this, I am ashamed to say this, but it is the only Memorial service I ever enjoyed!

We chatted ourselves witless with friends and cousins, and the Service was amazing, the music was beautiful, her sisters' eulogies were full of laughter and funny stories, even the Priest told jokes about Rocks-Ann and the service was only 1 hour and 5 minutes, proving Googles Search when I asked how long an Episcopalian Memorial Service lasts was almost correct.
Rocks-Anne would have loved it and enjoyed it and laughed with us. If you think I misspelled her name, the priest said it is on her birth certificate, he saw it. She was the first grandchild of Rock and Fanny Payne, and their son was Rock Jr. Thus, the spelling because she was Rocks-Ann and is now in heaven with both Rocks and her Mother Lois and dozens of cousins.

Roadtrip with Bonnie Dog Cousins

This is Bonnie's dog, Honey Bun, she weighs about 10 pounds and is
LITTLE, she did not sit on my lap, but maybe next time

The BIG dog is Cousin Shari's BIG dog Winston, Dane/Mastiff . He sat on Sharis lap

He came out to the car to escort us in the house, and when he sat on Shari's Lap, I asked him to
sit on mine, he did, and I laughed so hard I could not stop.
Winston weighs in at 140. No, he did not hurt me.
When we went to lunch on the way home, I walked in the Cafe with Dog and Cat furs from my nose to my toes...I hugged that big head and rubbed those big ears.
you should see how much drool he can put on the floor when drinking water.

this dog is one of two Danes that live with Sharis daughter Jami. Harper and Barret are the kids that take care of the cows and pig and horse. I did not get to hug on this one, maybe next time

Roadtrip with Bonnie2

The Road to Jami's mini-ranch, that I am afraid to drive on, I missed the last cousin dinner because I did not know the way.

The motorcycles that stormed around us on the left side, then crossed in front of us to get to the right side.

Forth Hamer Bridge that was not there 5 years ago, the reason I am afraid of driving all this is in the past five years they have developed it so much I did not know where we were.
When I drove it several times a week the road ran between trees and farms, cows and horses and very few cars.
At the foot of the bridge, we turned left into Fort Hamer Park

Boats and the trucks that haul them. It took us about 30 minutes from my house to Fort Hamer Park and that was at 7:30 on a Saturday Morning. Bonnie said count on 45 minutes to an hour on a week day or mid day on weekends.
this means if I drive it Alone, to go to the cousin dinner, it will take me an hour there and hour back.
She was showing me how easy it is... we shall see.

Saturday Road Trip with Bonnie

My beautiful cousin Bonnie showed up at my door at 7:30 Am Saturday morning bearing eggs, fresh from her chickens you see.
She told me to be sure to wash them, and she handed them to me.
I asked why we had to wash them, and she said Well, the come from
ummmm their BUTTS

Bonnie backed us out of our driveway, while I squealed in delight that I could see my driveway in her computer.
I may have asked a dozen questions about the computer, but you knew I would.
is that arrow US? was the first question.
We drove for half an hour and pulled up to a gate.
Jamie is her niece, she is daughter to my other 1st cousin, Shari. The one where I could not go to a dinner because i was afraid to drive out there.

She said this is Jamies house, then she said Hey Siri, Call Jamie, it was 8 am on Saturday.

Siri, replied calling JOMIE (not as smart as they think(and the speaker began to ring and Jamies sleepy voice said Hello.
Bonnie said we are at your gate.
Oh, we are all still in bed.
I said On No, don't get up, we can come another time.
No, No let me put the dogs up and I will be right out.
And she appeared with two big Danes, she shut them in the kennels and said they would knock us down.
I was disappointed about not petting the dogs but then,

I saw a Pig,
not really big.

I petted and might have kissed a COO,
Cow to you.
If you saw this face, what would you do.
Jamie started throwing hay out and
there he was, a horse, with big eyes, looking for a cookie and hay.

Later on, I watched the horse whisperer do her trick,
she handed him a carrot; he took it really quick.

She bowed her head, touched her lips with her finger.
And the horse kissed her.

The Horse Whisperer can sew. She showed me the bear she made.

Cousin Bonnies Quilts.

I have know Bonnie for all of her years, and I was shocked to find out her house is full of beautiful quilts, all made my her. two of them I am still trying to figure out how to sneak them out when she is not looking.
this is a Paper Doll Quilt. Top Photo is the doll, she told me to lift her clothes and she has on adorable underwear. I tried to get a shot, but Bonnie broke her foot two weeks ago, and could not lift for me to take one.
on each of 4 corners the quilted clothing is snapped on and they can be removed to dress the doll in another out fit. She has made quilts for all 7 of her grand children. I  only saw photos of those. she is a gifted seamstress, another thing I did not know.

two of the removable outfits for the doll.

I did not take any other photos but I did have to grab this depression wear vase with silk flowers.
Just Because
I forgot to mention, she raises worms for fishing and to feed the dozen or so chickens she has and has started a garden.
