Avon Art Deco from the 70's

Using PIP camera to place a heart around this 1970's Avon necklace
Aunt Helen, my Dad's sister and my  2nd Mom,was the aunt that bought me school clothes and shoes in highschool and  bought my boys school clothes every year.

She gave me her charge card at Christmas to buy for my sons.

At the age of 15 I worked summers in her day care on the playground with my Cousin Andrea who is the same age as I am. I worked for her from 1959 to 1972 when my children were both in school. From the time they were 2 and 4 I took them to her daycare free. My paycheck often included a 50 dollar bill and sometimes a 100 dollar bill in the envelope with my paycheck.

When I look at this I remember her love for me and mine and how much joy she put in our lives. She held my family in her heart until the day she died of Melanoma cancer in 1984.

Another funny and fond memory is this resin ring with flowers inside. One of my sons bought it for a  quarter at a neighbors yard sale and brought it home to me. That was in the early 70's also. I think it is a Vintage Lucite 60s MidCentury Mod Ring. see HERE.. and HERE

In Memory of Delbert Reeder (Jan 7, 1932-Feb 7, 2017)

The Man on the middle cross was without blame
There they crucified him, and with him two others--one on each side and Jesus in the middle.
John 19:18

Two crosses from Israel, created using wood from the olive tree.
Two friends went to the Holy Land in 1992 and returned with my gift of two crosses.
The one framed  in the heart using PIP hangs on a necklace of coffee beans.
I added the necklace in order to wear it.
I use the other one on my small Christmas tree.
The song below is one we sang often and one of my Dad's favorite songs.

I do this in Memory of My Uncle Delbert, (Jan 7, 1932-Feb 7, 2017) who went home to be with Jesus

Buggin YoU

About 4 months ago, I brought this dead beetle in the kitchen, laid it on the table to take photos of it. I forgot it was there, and when I remembered, the beetle was GONE.
Not There!
Did Jake eat it? Was it not dead and flew away? Where did it go?

A few of the questions we pondered. Then I forgot about it. While cleaning out the bedroom closet, I saw a big bug under the ironing board and thought what is that. Carefully shining a flashlight and ready to RUN, I found the dead beetle.

How did he get there? Who knows? Has he been there for four months?
But the lucky thing is, he was perfect foto fodder for the new PIP Camera App on my Tablet.

There are 3 bottles with subtle differences.
out of the camera
Would you believe me if I said I played for 2 hours taking photos with it the first day I found it?
This app works on phones or tablets...

UPDATE! Madi's Mom says I need a ghostbugster.... HE HE HE.. LOVE IT
