Stained Glass Sunday

I followed a tutorial on how to make a painting look like stained glass. she drew a heart, I chose my own thing

set of eyes that were free on a drawing site

I always go 'overboard' when I try to learn something new.
I am grateful all of you keep coming back to see what crazy thing I draw next.
This will all stop, soon. I promise

I picked the middle eyes on the bottom row and drew them on my canvas.

this one took the devil of an effort to draw it

All of you are Out of This World for looking at my creations.
I can't stay focused, because I am spaced out!
So, you don't think this is funny? Comet me Bro!

I intend to keep playing, REMEMBER

Painting Glass

Sitting at the kitchen table, I looked around to find something made of glass, to practice drawing/painting glass that looks like glass in procreate. Above is what I painted.

When completed I got up to take a photo of the vase and when I looked at it the vase was smaller at the bottom and not square like my painting. I sat down at the table and took the 2nd photo from there, and it is square on the bottom. I like the small bottom better and it occurred to me, if I put that photo online to sell it, when the buyer received it, the buyer would think it was not the same vase.
If you saw the vase on sale, which one would you buy?

I think the painting kinda sorta looks like glass. Back to the iPad drawing board.

I have two of these, one is 3 inches taller than the other, and I love both. I bought them years ago at Goodwill. I also bought the matching cookie jar. All 3 came with a cork stopper in them.

I found an old photo with the jar in it.

Of Cats and Candles..

The flickering light of the candles calls to me and I start sitting glass in front of them. This time I chose my favorite glass animal, the cat.

Above is my Oopsy shot, it looks like there was an earthquake while I was taking the photo.
The thing is, I decided I liked it so took it on a trip into PicMonkey and here you go... me thinks the earthquake was shaky OLD hands of photographer.
YES, I do know they invented tri-pods.

Sparkle, Sparkle, Gleam, Gleam

Sparkle, Sparkle, Gleam, Gleam,
my two days off were not what they seem.

I took two days off from blogging to find time to clean the dust bunnies, their children and grand children, off the glass in the NOOK (and other parts of the house)..... the glassware drying on the counter caused an attack of MadSnapperITIS...

the gleaming glassware called out to me to use the new fill flash 2nd curtain in my Canon  Rebel..

Several bloggers said in comments they did not know what fill flash is... All photos below were taken of single objects sitting in that mess you see in the first  photo. the fill flash removes the rest of the JUNK..

In email conversation with Ginny, I said the fill flash is a setting on my Nikon, I don't have it on the Rebel...

I then decided to research and found I DO HAVE IT... but it is called 2nd Curtain.. All of these photos were taken while learning to use that manual setting.
More tomorrow on what Fill flash is and how it works.

Macro Manual 3

Lessons from my dollar store glass

We hear the question of the empty glass often and the standard answer is To the optimist, the glass is half full. To the pessimist, the glass is half empty

If the glass was full to the top and then you drank half of it it's half empty. If the glass was empty and then only filled half way it's half full. Holly

Why don't cats play poker in the jungle? Too many cheetahs
Did you hear about the cat who drank 5 bowls of water? He set a new lap
record
My Mirror Me...... LOL    as you can see I am NOT Macro Material
