My photos of the Wolfe/Tipton family friends on the 30th Annual Cracker Trail Ride off to Fort Pierce, a 7 day ride.

UPDATE since comments mentioned sore muscles. The crackers were doing this as their Grand Entrance into Fort Pierce, they don't crack the whips all the time.. just when parade or a show

I took 7 days for them to reach Fort Pierce, in the video you can see why it is called the Cracker Trail

On a spur of the moment , I said to Bob" Do you want to go watch the Riders leave on the Cracker Trail ride today?   Not really, he says, it is a bit much,  but he ponied up and went anyway.

If you want a stable relationship, get a horse.

This horse is named Cookie, her registered name is Hanks Last Hurrah, I took photos of her the day after she was born.. Post HERE to see her 24 hours old. She was born July 5, 2007.

Bob says Clyde the Mule is the most beautiful mule he has ever seen. I agree 100%. Isn't he handsome? When I aimed my camera he looked right into the lens..

Time  leave and Clyde was stepping on out and pulling his lady friends behind...Check out the wheels on this mini-Conestoga.. I did not have the opportunity to ask their names.

Cracker Trail Part 1

30th Annual Cracker Trail Ride the ride commemorates the 19th century cross-state cattle drives between Bradenton and Fort Pierce. (for details of the ride, use the link above)

The name Cracker Trail came from the sound of many whips Snapping!

Saturday I was at the starting point at Manatee Historical Village.

they came in the gate at 10 AM  rode through the village

The Man on the horse above if our friend Robert, his wife Kathy is in front of the wagon and her dad Jim is driving the wagon. We have know Jim and Kathy for 50 years now. In a later post I will show them and the wagon.
They were  out the gate at 10:08. And as the police escort stopped the heavy traffic, the rode out onto State Road 64 on the Trail to the other side of our state.

The most fun filled 8 minutes ever!
