Village of the Arts, 2021

 

Not all the houses in the village are bright colors, but I still love them.

I am thankful these old homes have been preserved.

Thankful for a car to drive, a dog to hang out the window, a cell to snap these photos

 and for a husband to direct me on where, how and how fast or slow to drive..

Many of the homes are Spanish influence, also built in the 1920's. Hubby doesn't care for these, I love them! So what else is new? 

 Bob and I often laugh at just how competitive we are. But I laugh MORE!

My blog friend Rose, loves to read my conversations with Bob. She sent me my label Conversation and asked do these still make me laugh.

Purple is Popular in the Village.

Did you know if you smile your wrinkles will not show? Look in the mirror with a sour look on your face. See those wrinkles? Now Smile! See? they are gone?  I tried it, will you?

 I drink too much coffee, I may be contributing to the toilet paper shortage!

I am color blind, the other day, I thought  I could detect Purple, but it was just a pigment of my imagination.

Today I learned to zest a lime, It was really grate.

Lime Green, my 2nd favorite after the Aqua House yesterday. Bob shocked me by saying he liked it too

HEADS UP for you.

 twice this past week, I have received phone calls from 2 people saying they received a call from my home phone number to their cell phone. We made no calls. 

 I researched and this is called spoofing. I went to this site to read up on it and that led me to report this to the FCC HERE that someone is spoofing my phone number. It will not stop it from happening but will make a record that you reported it, in case someone does something illegal using your phone number. The only way to stop is change phone number. NOT for me

More Aqua Houses, have appeared in the Village.

We want the truck and the sunflowers... I could not get a better shot of the truck, without getting out of the car! Maybe when the sun is shining I will give it a try.

My favorite house in the village, was RED the last time I took a dozen pics of it. Aqua gone mad in all of our city. I want this house. I wanted it when it was red, I want it still.

Bob doesn't like the aqua! Of course not! there is very little in this world that we agree on.

And then a few months ago, she was painted.

Village of the Arts 2021

 

Sunday, January 31, 2021 we took Beau for his first ride to the Village of the Arts. You may remember 2019 Village of the Arts that we took riding Big Boy. They are sprucing things up, getting ready to make a comeback after being shut down for the Covid-19 Lock down of 2020.

This is an area of town that allows artist to live and work in their homes and to do pretty much what they want to in The Village.   If you are interested in the history of the Village, it is HERE

We were there at 7:30 am, no sunlight yet. They are colorful enough all by themselves.

The above house has been painted at least 4 times, I have photos over the years.
