Our friends, Jackie and Richard gave us a huge bag of mangos. I decided to throw the peelings and seed out under the tree in our Window on the Word view. The squirrels went crazy. I saw a small squirrel run with the entire seed in its mouth from the skyway tree to the oak tree. next day under the oake was what was left of the mango seed. He had stripped it clean of the stringy fruit part and eaten all of the inside. 

Amazing! they love all the veggies and fruits left overs that we throw under the tree. And we enjoy watching to see what they will do with  what we throw out.

Mango Tango!

 

A knock on the door heralded the mango Fairy paying us a visit, 

I said to Beau who is it?

We found Beaus Godmother, Jackie's husband, Richard at the door,

He had bags of mangos all over the porch floor.

there were red ones and green ones, too many to count.

It really was a ginormous amount!

Two bowls and a box overrun with fruit,

and yet another box of really green ones to boot.

we left the green on the bench,

to ripen and hope they left no stench.

I took two bags of 8 each to my two friends,

and left all of these to ripen and peel, freeze and blend.

Each day I make ice cream of frozen fruit, exactly at 10.

Thank You Jackie and Richard, for mango from your yard,

and for working to pick the, we know it was hard.

 Beau say he would rather trade the fruit for a petting visit with HIM.

Mango Tree

Bob planted a mango seed in a bucket about 3 years ago, the tree is about 4 feet tall and needs to be planted but we have no where to plant it.

Bob Story:  Bob wears sweat shorts around the house, the kind with a string that tightens them... He slammed the flatware drawer and caught the string in it, walked away while pulling the string and his shorts dropped to his hips.. we laughed ourselves silly.

My grandmother had two giant Mango Trees in her yard when I was a child.

and tangerine tree, kumquat tree, cherries on  her bushes and giant lemon tree. Plus her sister's house was in an orange grove.

 I love fruit. Do you? have you eaten any of these fruits?
