Christmas in the Nook, 2009

The tree in the nook in 2009 was given to me as a gift in 2005 for Baby and Jake, our dogs. It had dozens of milk bones, one tied with red ribbon on every branch. it came prelit. I removed the bones and used old decorations.

The angel came to live with us in the 1992. She is sitting in the nook as I type this.

Two deer came in 1992 and I bought the angel and the deer at Old America.
More about the tree soon.

Santa Baby was Me Rewind 2009

Archive photo from December of 2009 todays photos were taken in 2007 but first used in 2009

From 2006 through 2015, I played Santa at the nursing home, where I volunteered.

Above is the singing Reindeer, push the button and he sang Jingle Bells while dancing around and shaking his booty.

He went to the Christmas party where Sandra Claus handed out 3 bells on a ribbon to each resident and we all sang, shouted Jingled bells and shook those bells. I shook the bells around my neck.

Reindeer sat on each table, while I passed My Santa around for each to take a better look at him.

I still have the Santa dress, if anyone wants to hire Sandra Claus. I wore it for all visits in December and walked the halls letting the reindeer do his magic of making everyone smile and clap their hands. I am pointing to a reindeer on my hat that blinked madly. PS I am 70 pounds lighter than I was back then.

Manatee Historical Village, Christmas 2009

Manatee Historical Village is a place I would love to live. It is acres old house and church, schoolhouse, general store and a whole lot more. I have visited there many times and will again. These photos are the house I love so much, inside and outside. I have spent many moments swinging on that porch and sometimes rocking. I used to spend my lunch hour there.
History of the village is HERE and my label Historical Village has 42 posts for people who like history.

Answers to What's Up Doc?

My post yesterday, asked, What's Up Doc! with these 2 photos.
Due to Play Time at Desktop for too much time and talking for 70 minutes to my neighbors standing in their driveway, I have a varicose vein bulging and pulsing.
treatment plan? EXCERCISE, which I do faithfully each day and have since 2015, elevate feet when sitting, 30 minutes twice a day elevate feet over my heart.

My answer is up moving more, and Ottoman propping with Bed Therapy and use of aspercream or Arnica Bruise Cream several times a day.
Add this to the fact I have not been feeling well, not since Oct 26, Covid Booster. It might be that or might be something else. Doctor visit revealed my lab work could not be better if special ordered for perfect. Fatigue, lack of energy, lack of desire to do any and all things, my joints hurt, my leg hurts, headaches come and go. Doctor says mild depression, to me it is not so mild.
Trying to describe how I feel the word never heard, only read in books came to mind.
Malaise!

Photos from archives. I did not put out my Santas or painting, I have not decorated the nook for the first time EVER in 34 years.
to cut back on Time Spent Playing Online, I am going to dive into the first December of this blog.
the good news is you will have mostly photos and a LOT LESS Words.
