Tree Art - Beachside
Above photo as it came out of the camera, I took several shots like this to play with, blowing out the color by setting the shutter speed at different speeds. I found 1/160 took must of the color and detail out, so took half a dozen on that setting.
Above is after I edited it a little in Photo Shop, and below I changed it to Black and White...and played with the black and white until I liked it.
I do love these dead trees, to me they are works of art just as they are.

Beach Bird/Birds
continued from Beach Bum Bob. We headed down the beach to get to the trees in the water and the wooded area.
Bob said: I can’t go any further, there are two women down there taking naked pictures. WHAT?
I left him watching fish and when I got to the dead tree skeletons, there they were. a woman walking around with nothing on but a flowing black see through skirt. I saw her first from the back view, the skirt was so low in the back I thought it would fall off, the same way her top did.. NOTE: I assume she had a top, I did not see it.
She turned and the skirt was just below her 8 month pregnant belly.
she leaned on trees, sat in the sand, laid on her back with arms up over her head and the other one snapped away. the photographer even laid on the ground to get the mound....
I turned back to shooting the feathered birds, and NO I did not take a photo of the human bird...
Just Sayin I am glad there is no photo of my mother out there naked on the beach with me in her tummy...
It is my belief that I am not the only Mad person is this world.
the sun was not up over the dunes, the light was not great and for some reason the lens kept focusing on the water not the bird..... But I like them anyway
these little guys below make me laugh, there were dozens of them running all one way then the other, but they are very scared of people and alas I have not 2000.00 lens to capture them from afar...

| Whitney Beach on Longboat Key AKA Beer Can Island |
For my birthday Bob and I went to our favorite beach, a short 10 miles from home.. Make that a not so short but 23 minute 10 mile drive.. to Beer Can Island...
for past post on Beer Can Island Click Here Scroll down, the label takes you to this post first, others are under it.
Bob loves the water, he headed straight out and laid down to float..
After nearly 3 dozen shots (guess what, they all looked just like these) taken my MS... Bob came out of the water and we headed down to the wooded area...
See The Look? I get that every time I aim the camera at him, just like our dogs, he hates my camera.
We walked down to the island part and he said I can't go any further because _________ to me and waded out to watch the schools of fish as they swam around the tree stumps..
. I had to walk alone....leaving him watching fish. I will let you in on the story tomorrow.

Saturday @ Whitney Beach
Saturday morning we went out for breakfast and then down to our favorite beach, Whitney Beach better known as Beer Can Island.
Click the link for previous post on this beach.
We never know what we will find due to weather that changes it from month to month. We stepped out on the beach where Bob is standing and below is the path to Beer Can Island UNDER WATER due to high tide.
MadSnapper whined "we can't get there, the tide is in, wahhhhhh and you KNOW I am not wading in water that I can't see what is there, beside my capris will get wet.
Bob says " follow me, see that little path? and takes off through the mangroves.
I follow whining " it will not take us there, you are going the wrong way.."
Bob says "come ON it will take us there ( note he is carrying my shoes for me, so i can madly snap"
Bob says "watch out, sharp stick here, and SEEEEEE, there is the water, we are almost there.
Just a little further he says to the gasping staggering madly snapping snapper...
See: I told you it would take us to the island.
And there it was, our most favorite beach. Beer Can Island on Longboat Key.
Snapper yells "do NOT walk out to the end of that tree" he was, he really was...
UPDATE 7:45 AM Sunday.
Please pray for the family of a 6 year old boy that drowned at this beach yesterday after we left. Pray they will find his body today. He was swept away in the rip currents from the other side of the pass and towards this beach.
