Hope! just outside our Window on the world

The view on 11/09/2024 at 4:38 pm out our Window on the World. Bob said what are you doing, when stopped drawing on the iPad and stood it on the window sill. I said LOOK isn't it gorgeous out there?
Like nothing every happened 5 weeks ago, he just shrugged.
I SEE thing he doesn't see. I looked up from my nonsense doodling and thought Wow!
I even love the one below. you can see reflections because I had to tilt the iPad away to get the Aqua and Yellow House. To me they both say JOY, he doesn't like them. Even with the post just propped and waiting for repair, our view is beautiful.
The bush in the photo is our bougainvillea, the bobcat backed over it, smashed it flat. and six weeks later, Resurrection! I sprayed it with water twice and Kaboom, it's growing like a weed

mean while in the BACKYARD Woo Boy! I am NOT complaining, just dumping more Hurricane Milton photos. I know how blessed we are!

It is only a fence! Not a life! It can be repaired! A life can not!
On 2nd thought, replaced is a better word than repaired. ha ha

I got the white fence off the neighbors curb pile to use as a blockade. we will do that this coming week.

Hope Part Phoenix Part 3 🤞🤞Rising from the ashes of Milton

source google map i can't find one of my zillions of photos other than the one below

my photo of bottom of tree, I have photo of this magnificent tree, but can't find them

The Banyan tree we see every day on our walk, the day after Milton. Now it is in pieces stacked all around the property, it did some damage to the house but no sure how much.

these huge stumps are all this is left of the beautiful Banyon Tree
it took 6 weeks to get from above to the two stumps beow.

Google map above is the view from the banyon tree that fell and the two trees to the right fell on that house during the storm and below is how they looked still standing.

how they looked on the 19th, 10 days After Hurricane Milton dumped them on the roof to the house

The stump of one is 6 feet wide, you can see the height by looking at my precious Beau who is now loving his walks because the streets are line with trees down on both sides and he smells every inch

Beau and I stopped to talk to the man that lives in this house and while talking I noticed HOPE springing from one of the stumps.

I titled this Hope, only because as we walked this week, the yard is clear but for 3 big stumps.
The green growing from the dead stump is hope. There is sad part of this Phoenix Rising from the Ashes.
I asked the owner why the stumps did not go when they picked up the rest of the trees. The answer for both his house and the Banyon is......
He is arguing with the insurance company about the stumps. They paid for removing the tree off the roof and the rest of the tree was hauled off by contractor who are removing what they can. These 4 stumps are too big and require more cutting to fit in the trucks.
that is not covered.

HOPE

Thursday evening the downed fence to our neighbor's yard went back up and I thought, HOPE and I took this photo Friday morning after my walk with Beau. As we wandered along, Beau sniffed critter trails, and I captured another sign of

HOPE.

Also, the sun rises and the sun sets; And hastening to its place it rises there again.

Ecclesiastes 1:5 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)

After watching this sunrise until it faded, I wandered around the desert that our Jungle Oasis has become, and there were signs of HOPE everywhere I looked.

A single red hibiscus on the ugly splintered bush that was 8 feet tall and is now a broken stick.

one red flower like a "phoenix rising from the ashes"

Weeds, rising like a "phoenix rising from the ashes."
The weeds and grass will return, there is hope the mud will be no more.
Rejoice! I love weeds. I don't love MUD/DIRT
Another thought of hope, if the world goes belly up, we have room to plant a garden. We have a hoe, a shovel, a rake and but wait! we have no seeds. YET.

We are thankful for these wonders appearing to bring us HOPE

Hope Springs Eternal

Above is part of our downed fence and sitting below it is

what was a pot of yellow moss roses. I called this post Hope because I saw the tiny yellow flower pop up and

Next to it in the mess we left there to keep the dog from breaking out through the hole one bright purple sign of HOPE, can you find the tiny purple flower of hope above?
As soon as we block the holes in the fence, we will get rid of the rest of the debris

The good news is that in our sub-tropical climate, everything will come back that was growing, and by this time next year there will be lots of purple flower.

HOPE
I stood looking at this ugly stump, in our Jungle Oasis

I thought what a mess, and off in the ditance is a stump from the distant past, and soon this ugly stump

Will look like this. In Flordia, all we have to do is wait and the jungle will take over and make ugly beautiful. Hope, to be continued tomorrow

UPDATE 4:47 am today FEEDLY IS NOT WORKING. IF I MISS YOU TODAY KNOW IT WAS NOT ON PURPOSE
