Talking Parrots Repost

This African Gray Parrot is the most voluble of all the ones in the gardens.
He knows  a lot more than he said to us, but Hello, Pretty Bird, Meow, Woof Woof, and mad laughter kept us laughing so hard we could hardly stand. the more we laughed the more he laughed.

the Macaw above, flopped to the ground and was wandering off down the path, the keeper was no where in sight, Judy left me to corral him while she went for help. He wanted to peck my toes.

What is a parrot? A wordy birdy!

Parrot Re-Post 2010

I am Almost Sure, I used deodorant today!

Can you tell if I did?

Let me check one more time

OK, you are SAFE, I did put it on today. I take my pay for posing in grapes and cherries if you please.

Sorry, no photos today!

Did you HEAR ME? NO PHOTOS

Did you hear the one about the parrot?
***
A man buys a pet parrot and brings him home. But the parrot starts insulting him and gets really nasty, so the man picks up the parrot and tosses him into the freezer to teach him a lesson. He hears the bird squawking for a few minutes, but all of a sudden the parrot is quiet. The man opens the freezer door, the parrot walks out, looks up at him and says, "I apologize for offending you, and I humbly ask your forgiveness."

The man says, "Well, thank you. I forgive you."
The parrot then says, "If you don't mind my asking, what did the chicken do?"

Mad Mad MadSnapper

Photo's taken by Diane, Jungle Gardens, 2008.... found in Archives. I assume this means I have always been MAD.

Diane is the person responsible for helping me get rid of my fear of birds. This was the first bird I ever got close to. Until we started hunting bird photos together, my fear was out of all bounds.

My fear came from a Rooster attack at age 2 and a Turkey gobbler attack at age 8, and a goose attack at age 12.

"Hello" "Pretty Bird"

above and below African Gray Parrot. This one has a very large vocaulary.
Judy and I laughed hysterically at every word, and he laughed back at us, sound just like we did. I think we spent about 20 minutes making him say Pretty Bird, Hello, Meow like a cat and bark like a dog and laugh like a hynea.

this colorful Macaw plopped on the ground and started to leave the compound, I herded the parrot, being careful of my toes and his beak, while Judy went for help.

this one did not say anything, but preened every feather in his beautiful tail

Huggy Huggy

Orange and Blue loving couple, whoo boy... does anyone know what color the babies will be?

What is the difference between an ornithologist and a stutterer?
One is a bird watcher, the other is a word botcher

What do you get if you cross a parrot and a centipede?  A "walkie talkie"

How does a parrot escape from an aeroplane?
with a "parrot chute"
