"Hello" "Pretty Bird"

above and below African Gray Parrot. This one has a very large vocaulary.
Judy and I laughed hysterically at every word, and he laughed back at us, sound just like we did. I think we spent about 20 minutes making him say Pretty Bird, Hello, Meow like a cat and bark like a dog and laugh like a hynea.

this colorful Macaw plopped on the ground and started to leave the compound, I herded the parrot, being careful of my toes and his beak, while Judy went for help.

this one did not say anything, but preened every feather in his beautiful tail

Those African Grays are really smart. Smarter than most people. Of course, I'm not referring to you or me in this instance.

Great photos!

Best,
Bonnie

These are wonderful pictures of the parrots and macaw. I wish I could have been there while you and Judy entertained the African Gray. I'll bet he enjoyed your visit.

The 4th picture down - what an awesome colored bird - whew.

Sounds like you had a good time making that bird talk to you.

And then wrangling one back in.

Glad you had a nice time and love the pics as usual.

I like all the photos, but this last one is so detailed.

The last one looks a little like a parrot a friend of mine had, long time ago. By that I mean it was green -LOL-

One of my sister's (cough) had an African grey..up top. It got loose though and didn't come back. It talked a lot! She had another previous- only not raised from baby.. but it gave her a nasty bite on her finger turning her nail black. According to her, eggs made it aggressive? Wonder if he only preferred them sunny side up (lol). Well, this is a nice series..I love their colors and expressions!!

A doc I worked with had a parrot... and they had a huge antebellum home and a housekeeper that came everyday. His wife was lazy and would yell for ....."Brenda" all the time. The bird's name was Mathau.... and he started yelling in the wife's voice.... "Brenda... Brenda!" and the poor lady didn't know if it was the bird or the wife.

Just saw an African grey parrot at my dentist. He brought it from home now and then. It was the first time I ever saw one up close and he was a talker.
Every one of your pictures looks so professional. Great stuff.

They are all so pretty, I am fascinated by parrots. I think the Macaw is my favorite, he saw his chance and decided to make a break for it! Too funny.
