Itty Bitty Teeny Weeny

Did you read the title, Itty Bitty Teen Weeny and start to sing about bikinis? If so you are WRONG.. Bob was in the pool when this Itty Bitty Teeny Weeny Frog, so tiny it could sit on a pencil eraser, landed on his arm. He was in the deep end, swam side stroke slowly, climbed out, walked to sliding glass door and said in a Hurry UP scary voice. Samar! Come HERE!

I freaked out thinking he was bleeding, ran to the door... and there sat the cutest frog I have ever seen, so tiny I feared the lens would not focus on it.

After a few SNAPS! Bob walked him to the flower pot and let him hop off into the bushes...This little guy was about the size of a house fly...

Location Location Location

In a prior post you met Liam Lizard, resident of my zebra striped bathing suit condo. Sunday, I noticed he was on the wall luring Lina Lizard into his Lair.. I decided to swap the polka dot condo suit and see if he would move into it. Above you will notice, the white straps of the suit, suited him just fine. It appeared it was Location! Location! Location! and not the stripes, he loved the dots.

As I grabbed the striped suit, I held it open to check for other Lizards and started to shriek at Bob who was in the pool, LOOK! LOOK AT THIS!   What to my wondering eyes had appeared????

NOT ONE BUT Two friends had moved into Liam's Condo turning it into a TIMESHARE!!!

Can you see him now???? I have played for two days with these two frogs who took up residence in the Zebra Stripe Timeshare....

I believe they are two of the tadpoles grown up... and Monday AM I found they are female and male because they were on the ledge of the window making whoopee and at 4 AM I had to stand guard to protect them from the Jakeosaurus dog that was hunting them... After the sun came up they are GONE, but will be back when it rains again. The two of them stayed inside the suit all day Sunday.

I got these photos by jiggling the suit gently to make them crawl up and out in the sunshine... are they adorable or what?

He or She was highly indignant that I the MadSnapper was causing earthquakes to shake their time share.

Many of you have met Leonard and Lizzie, our brown anoles that live on the fence. Today I introduce Lyle and Lily.... You may ask how do I know the difference. the answer is simple, Leonard now has no tale and is very easy to recognize, and Lily is much bigger than Lizzie.  Trust Me!

Photo Shop used here to add frogs but they look just like this Enlarge to see the frogs
Well, these guys climb over there and wait until DARK and sit there and screech/scream/squawk all night long. Behind the flowers is our bedroom window, a short 25 inches from barrel to bed.

Picture MadSpapper, broom in hand at midnight, ready to bash him/her... NOPE! to cute, can't do it. but I do poke them to make the hop away.

Berries and Frogs OH MY

These berries are from Asparagus fern under our living room window. YES silly, they are OUTSIDE under the window.

I know they all look the same but they are not, the focus on on different berries.... that is my excuse and I am sticking to it!

While Snap! Snap! ing the berries, my foot bumped my mothers Frog. She collected everything frog from kitchen curtains to glasses and cups and this ceramic one sat in her yard. he is almost 2 feet long. When she passed away I gave away all the frogs but brought this one home and sat him by the front door and there he has been for 22 years.
He does look just a tad upset with the photographer... remember he was on the ground and I was not.

Really Rad Reptiles!

5 AM visitor of the night.... a great big green tree frog, common here and very LOUD... it was dark out and he was on the sliding glass door. I turned on the floodlights outside and this was the best I could do. don't you just LOVE those little sucky cups he has for feet? He was about 3 or 4 inches long.
6:30 AM I am sitting at the laptop and in comes Bob behind me and says

"LOOK what I found when I put the garbage out..."

He was holding the snake, it was dark, only light was from the computer so I Shrieked

"Why did you bring it in the house?????"
his answer " Because it is a rubber one".      sooooooo Snap!    BTW it gave  him a startled moment to seeing it laying in the gutter.
 Snap!
 Snap!
 Snap!
Snap!  and need I say more?
ok, so i have 3 post on one day,,, someone shoot me please,

Pollywog Paparazzi

Click to see how cute they are....

If you follow me each day, you will remember the Tadpole Groaner Post from Sept 26. I have been
watching annoying our rain barrel babies. It all started in August when there were a million little black eggs floating in the pool and in the rain barrel. Now 8 weeks later, Voila! Look what happened!

I asked Bob, what is the difference between a Tadpole and a Pollywog? he said Ask Google.
The first answer to the question was my favorite.

A tadpole will produce a frog that croaks with an English accent. A polliwog will produce a frog that croaks with an American accent..........

If you look closely you can see some of these have only front, or only rear legs, and a couple are itty bitty cute little frogs. These frogs will not get any larger than what is comfy on a dime.
Sorry the lighting is so bad, but if I flood the barrel with light it scares them away, If i get to close it scares them way down deep in the bottom......soooo
 Got this from Wikipedia...
The name "tadpole" is from Middle English taddepol, made up of the elements tadde, "toad", and pol, "head" (modern English "poll"). Similarly, "polliwog" is from Middle English polwygle, made up of the same pol, "head" and wiglen, "to wiggle"

Tadpole or Pollywog, they are darn cute.  I choose Pollywog because it looks good with Paparazzi.

this last photo came out like this, right out of the camera, there are little tadpoles in it, you just cant see them.
