The Suspects 🐕🐕🐕

The fluorescent lights of the police precinct hummed, casting a sterile glow over Lineup Room B. Against the height chart stood three suspects, shifting uncomfortably on four legs each.

On the left was Jake, an off white, Labrador mix who looked like he was wearing mismatched winter earmuffs due to his black ears. In the middle stood Cooper, a snow-white lab mix, whose pitch-black ears hung down like heavy velvet drapes. On the right was Max, a Dalmatian mix whose chaotic scattering of black spots made him look like a walking inkblot test.

Behind the two-way mirror, Detective Higgins cleared his throat and adjusted his microphone. "Alright, Ms. Gable. Take your time. Look closely. Which one of these ruffians infiltrated your kitchen and systematically devoured an entire triple-chocolate fudge cake off the counter?"

Ms. Gable, a sharp-eyed woman in a knitted sweater, pressed her face against the glass.

The suspects tried to act naturally.

"It’s hard to tell," Ms. Gable muttered into the microphone. "The thief was a blur of monochrome chaos. I just remember a striking contrast of black and white."

"Wait a minute," Ms. Gable said, squinting. "The culprit had a distinct marking on his head. Or was it his body?"

Detective Higgins pressed the button. "Officer Martinez, please have the suspects turn to the left."

Officer Martinez, holding three leashes, sighed and blew a dog whistle. The trio rotated.

"Oh, it's no use!" Ms. Gable cried out. "They all look like a crossword puzzle came to life! How can I possibly choose?"

Just then, Detective Higgins noticed something on Max’s face, a slight smudge. and zoomed the security camera on Suspect Number One.

Standard procedure dictated that all suspects be searched prior to entering the lineup, but the precinct was understaffed. Right there, clinging to the edge of Max’s white chin, was a single, undeniable smear of chocolate frosting.

Sensing the sudden shift in the room's energy, Max looked directly at the two-way mirror. He gave a slow, deliberate blink, and then, with absolute confidence, reached out his pink tongue and licked the evidence clean off his face.

Detective Higgins said “Due to no visible evidence, all three of you are free to go.Officer Martinez, please escort the suspects to the doggy door in the jail and as the three passed through the swinging door, the last that was seen  of the three suspects, Cooper and Jake were busy sniffing Max’s face.

Copy Cat Copy Cat

Its Been A Minute, since last we met.
Copy Cat has returned, it appears my mind did a reset.

Two inchworms baked upon the shore,
Their tiny segments fried and sore.
"This beach is brutal!" one exclaimed,
"My little rear end's getting flamed!"

Now they are safe within a shady yard,

They drink from puddles, living large,
Where tall grass provides a screen,
And no one turns to sun-baked green.
They found lots of dirt to rest their head,
They found an oil pan oasis instead,
Filled up with rain—a backyard sea,
As perfect as a pool could be.
A wild mottled duck, big and round,
Came waddling up across the ground.
Instead of gulping down a snack,
He gave a friendly, cheerful quack.
He dipped his beak to share the pool,
And helped the inchworms stay quite cool,
By splashing water with his wing,
To shade them from the summer sting.
Now side by side the trio stays,
To spend the sunny garden days,
Two tiny worms, one gentle drake,
Relaxing by an oil pan lake.

Finny the fish saw a face through the glass,
The handsomest dog in the whole puppy class!
He puckered his lips on the aquarium wall,
But Rex just licked glass and saw nothing at all!
Smooch goes the minnow! Slurp goes the hound!
The foggiest love story ever was found!
Two wet little noses, a barrier between,
The cleanest glass kiss that you ever have seen!

July 4th 2026, Happy 250th Birthday USA

Happy 250th Birthday USA! I am happy to have spent 81 years, 10 months in the United States of America.

I grew up when we hung all our laundry on clothes lines with clothes pins. You can tell I am still coloring.

UPDATE Beau: As you can see below I am fine, still the best relaxing dog ever. I did have a pacing/throw up thing 2 days ago, but only for 3 hours and I am all good now.

Bob got a new Therapist, his name is Chad and he specializes in balance, since when Daddy walks with his walker he is in danger of falling over backwards. We both like him  a lot, he is amazing. Explains what and why and how and the best news is we already see a change with only two visits. I am  doing all the exercise with Bob and 2 that are customized for me that Bob  doesn't do. I am having balance problems myself. We are both excited we have 6 weeks approved with Chad.

No photos of me, I look like a wrinkled prune/old hag! You have probably seen the last photo of me... If I had a million dollars for each wrinkle I would be a Billionaire

Yes, I am still drawing and coloring like a child. We are all OK, nothing new.

Beau is doing well, half the year is going fast, I am 3 months from 82, Bob is 4 months from 90 and Beau is 4 months from 13... We have lived a long life already.

My Ducks are still here, Five weeks now, they sleep all night every night in their pond, come and go, during the day, but the pas t4 days have been staying HOME most of the day.

I read that ducks like mud so asked AI to put MY ducks in a barn yard. Not bad.

Missy loves mud, lays by her bowl a lot, grazes and eats mud.
