Powder Puff Tree-Christmas Day 2024

post created for Christmas day and left in drafts due to Beau and Mama very ill.

Below shows how fast the thing grows when cut back. It will grow into a tree if left alone.

On March 23, Bob cut the 10 foot tall powderpuff bush top photo above, to the size you see in bottom photo. It has to be cut back each year or it would cover the whole back yard.

this is the Top of it after cutting on the day we took it down March 23

I
Top 20 days later, April 10
Fast growing isn't it.

I took these 2 photos Jan 3rd, 2025, to show it will cover the ugly fence soon. The dirt you see above has had no water since Hurricane Milton and below is the other side that I water with hose 3 times a week. Just water the dirt and look what is growing.
We have had 1 slight shower that could not be measured, since Milton slammed us
Waiting for rain to assist in making the jungle grow

The Day after Christmas

For your prayers and POTP
for praying with and for me and my Bob and Beau.

Christmas day, I was so sick, my nose dripping down my face faster than I could catch it, so miserable and I had not cough syrup or NyQuil, nothing to make the nose stop dripping and the coughing and hacking got worse. All stores are closed, its Christmas, I asked my phone for a pharmacy open near me, and up popped Walgreens, .6 of a mile away, open 6 to 12, and its sister store .9 miles away, open 12 to 6.
I whined about whether to pay to have it delivered or go get something myself and bob said, write down what you want and I will go get it. I instantly knew that during the night someone had replaced him with another person. ho ho ho
He found the store, found the NyQuil, and used the cash I gave him
and I took a swallow and within an hour, the nose had slowed to a trickle, the headache stopped.
We marathon watched the first 2 of Lethal Weapon 4 movies and I laid there like a dead person. 7 pm came and I grabbed the Nyquil, downed the dose and fell in bed and slept for 8 hours straight, with one short potty break. I woke up minus dripping nose and thought

I took Beau out for his early AM and got my belated Christmas present. I wanted to take a photo, but decided it might be gross for non dog owners.

Beau pooped a PERFECT Poop! It was firm but not hard, brown not red/black, and easy to pickup without leaving any behind.
I said good boy 10 times and he raced off and around the pool yelling I'se a good boy! As I type this my sick dog is rolling on the floor upside down with his orange ball in his mouth, acting like his normal crazy self.
5 days of red slime and the day before black kind of almost formed.
if you are a pet owner you know what I was thinking.
I leave you with this scary thing to show  you the Nyquil got my MoJo back.
Did I tell you all this was going on in the coldest temps for week before Christmas records for our town. Christmas day was dreary, cold, no sunshine, my son called and said Mom, I can't say Merry Christmas, Breeze, is dying, we found her almost frozen, in a hole she dug under the house, she went out the dog hole and buried herself. I said David she is trying to die, you need to stop her suffering, he said its Christmas, the vet is closed and we can't afford it anyway. When we hung up I ask God to let that dog leave his misery and 20 minutes later, I received the text, Breeze is gone, I found her dead in her bed when I got off the phone. and the other son and his wife told me they are expecting to lose their jobs mid January.
Hello New Year!
On the other hand I wanted you to admire my 20 year old flannel gowns that only get worn 10 days a year and this year  I wore them 7 days before Christmas, They are January only gowns.
If a woman can go in Walmart in her PJs and robe, I can certainly show you tacky gowns. Don't miss the ugly socks.

PS if any one wants to see what it looked like, he does several a day, Just Sayin!

Hello, December

Practice Making Christmas Lights, using Procreate

Taking Photos of Santa in the Nook

and taking Santa into PicMonkey to add him to our Florida Sky. The photo was taken Christmas morning, 2006, when I still a DSLR with short and long lens. the palms were added by MS using those provided in PicMonkey
My Sants is 40 years old I bought him our first Christmas in 1985 and since my first digital camera came to me in 2002, I might just have several hundred shots of him and his 2 brothers.
I started the NOOK in 1992 when I put mirrors in, and have thousands of photo.
Don't Fret, I will not how you ALL of them

All the Florida Decor comes from Beall Outlet Store
Al Florida inspired. I say not to the tree and Santa in Aqua and Ye to the gator. but I would not put the gator in my house

I am late because I thought Bob's Melanoma incision was infected, and we had a stitch removal appt today and I pulled the post.
Turns out, he got in the pool when he should not, it made the stiches bleed, I put triple antibiotic salve on it, it had neomycin in it and the whole mess was blood from pulling stitches and extreme allergy to the neomycin, and the rash was from bandages.
Thank You Lord....

Dancing around the Christmas tree, Mental Telepathy?

Self Portraits drawn by Sandra Claus      and Ann Claus

today is December 2nd and I   have a plethora of Christmas planned for every day until Christmas Day.

Ann and I were shocked that we have done the Copycat thing so much, (she draws on paper, I draw in procreate,) that we have PROVEN mental telepathy is real.

Ann drew her self-portrait of her dancing around the Christmas Tree, and I drew myself dancing around the tree, but did not like the tree, so erased it. Shocked to the core of me when Ann posted hers, I sent her mine. Not satisfied that WE know telepathy is REAL, I took things a little further and too both drawing to visit my old and dear friend, PicMonkey and added trees and mad a card for you to start the holiday right! We are both sending you greetings through mind telepathy. Can you hear US?

Full filling my long-time desire to make all of you read LONGER than on other blogs, here is the rest of the post

I live in sub tropics mid Florida on the West Coast, no snow like Ann has, Just sandy beaches and our Santas where shorts.  These photos were taken in Beals Dept store, they only have stores in FL and they are themed for Florida homes. Shells, Palm Trees and yesterday you saw Santa pulls his sleigh with Flamings. I happened to have taken about 40 photos while browsing the Christmas Display and now you will suffer the consequences, a few each day.
Coming soon to you, Florida Christmas and a lot of Aqua and PINK.
