Mad Chatter

Fresh from a windy and cold walk with Beau, while washing my hands, I noted the Windblown Hair Style. Grabbing the ever present iPhone I hid behind it and took three photos of hair only.
I do not wear makeup on walks with Beau.

I sat down to tap the collage app to show the hair do to YOU.
There are now 6 new apps on the iPhone, this one is called Pic Jointer collage maker.
You can see a lot of examples of collages and other app stuff on Beaus Blog.
or Not.

While creating the "MASTERPIECE" above, and the Black Duck collages this past week,
I received a notification from Apple stating Tap this for introductions to things you may not know your phone can do.
OF COURSE, I tapped it!
I will spare you the SIX new things I learned. The one I am sharing said
A simple swipe up from the bottom of your phone will put everything.
you need easy access. Above shows what I see,
Flashlight, clock, calculator/camera and scanner all on first row.
Plane quite, internet, Wi-Fi Bluetooth 1st square. forget the rest
I LOVE IT
Do you answer notifications on your phone? I always look at tips that come on desktop, both phones, Chromebook. that is how I learn new things.
I found I can invite anyone without Apple phone to Facetime with me, by sending a link, so watch out people!
I tapped the double window thingy, and it said Mirror Samsung TV, I tapped it and it said enter code, I closed it because I had no code just as Bob said.
What the hell is that on the screen. (of course, it was the middle of a race)
I looked up and there was a huge CODE number on the screen.
COVERING THE RACE CARS! All of them.
I don't know what would happen if I put the code  in because the answer would have been me murdered!
I will find out unless someone here can tell me what will happen.

Bray Park Pickleball Pavillion

On our Sunday visit to Bray Park for Beaus Sniffing PHUN, and a walk, Bob said what is that?
I said it must be the new pickleball courts. Our friend Jackie said her daughter CC has been paying pickleball at Bray Park.
we get to the Park at 6:30 as the sun is breaking day, the lights were beautiful, but the rising sun was washing out the sky.
Quick! what did I do?  I TAPPED the Screen on the phone and
Voila! perfect night shots at sunrise
and a new header

18 pickelball court and there are two of these pavilions sitting side by side covering them, right next to the pool and a dozen tennis courts.

Ann and Ginny asked what is pickleball.
As far as I can tell, it is a combo of tennis, badminton, pingpong and
is played on a much smaller court than tennis, with a net, and a paddle.
just type in search and there is a zillion things to read
Its TRENDING right now.
Trend on, we are way to old to play it for sure.

This post is one of 14 that were created Before Mouse Shoulder forced me to take a Break.
Brian we are thankful for the park and thankful for being back in the blog saddle

Practice Macro PHUN

I watched a video on how to take Macro with my iPhone and found the same thing works on Android.
I ran all over the yard practicing on anything I could find.
The video guy said Macro is not Just a Photo up Close, or even one up close with bokeh blur.

Macro is beyond that and should be pieces of what we see.

OOPS! I forgot that part.

Too late now! I give you my Close Up-Not Macro shots

I will spare you the photos of the saltines, towel threads, and popcorn.

Don't fret, the desire to Snap will wear off Soon!

Weeds Work for Nature Friday

I watched YouTube iPhone on taking photos of tiny things. Rushing outside to practice, i saw this tiny yellow flower on the weeds on the fence.
The flower is a little larger than 1/4 in,/6.35 mm'
Can you see the tiny ant?

Almost Wordless Wed

Mango Leaves against the fence
I remembered something to tell you. This past Saturday I picked up a pound of bacon and the price was
$6.66
I put it back, when I rung up my purchases, the strawberries that did not have a price on them, rang up
$6.66
This added to the fact many of the shelves were totally empty, no vinegar,
and other things on my list.
I checked my reciept at home and 1/2 the items I bought have doubled in the past 6 months.

iPhone Playtime 1

Yet another post found in drafts, created when I got this phone on Oct 18th.

This is the recycled iPhone A blog friend sent me to use as a camera and is
the reason you are being bombarded with nonsense photos.
Practice Makes Perfect.
the phone is dainty and slipped from my hand to the carpet and now has a military grade protection case, made for dumb bunnies who drop the phone.
The First Thing I did after putting it on was lay it on the ottoman and if slid off and the corner of the new protector hit my ankle, made a cut and a big bruise.
I need a case for my legs.

Bokeh Background Practice

The background did blur and were sharp and clear.

I even managed to use the cell with the water dripping.
The first two are not as good as the last two.
I tweaked it by tapping the screen and scrolling up and down to make it better.

Can you see the difference?
the edits are done whilst Taking the Photo, not after.

MoRe MaCro MeSS Plus a Tale

Nothing to say about these practice shots, so will tell you the story of why I night be seen on the FBI most wanted wall in your local post office.

The day after Hurricane Ian struck, Beau and I were walking, and I noticed a big tree in a neighbor's yard that was leaning, and the roots had pulled up on one side about 4 inches. One good puff of wind or a rainstorm and it would fall on the master bedroom of the house.
Since Newcomers to Florida are often unaware of how our soil works,
I carefully opened the gate to the fence that guards the front door, walked Beau up to the video ring thingy and pushed the bell, walked Beau back out the gate and locked it and we stood there waiting.
No Answer. Each day for 4 days, I repeated the above.

Day 5, I saw Helen, who lives next door to the leaning tree, come out her door and she met Beau and I at the end of her driveway.
Before she could speak, I pointed at the tree and said did you notice that tree is about to fall on the house? I knocked 4 days in a row but no answer, do you know them?

She laughed and said, that is why I came out to talk.
I got a text from her last night, and she sent me a video of you ringing her doorbell. The text said, do you know this woman? she keeps ringing my doorbell.
Helen said I was worried about you thinking you needed help.
We laughed and laughed.

I said Oh No, the neighbor across the street told me the man is a retired FBI agent, that now works security at the college. What if he put me on
Americas Most Wanted?

Helen said she would answer the text with info on the tree.

Two days later, the Ex FBI Guy, was getting in his car when we walked by, and I asked
Did you get the message about your tree?
He said, yes, we did, and they are coming to remove it Saturday Morning.

He did NOT say Thank you! He did not even LOOK at Beau or speak to him.
And I know they have a huge German Shepherd, I saw him once getting in a car and hear
him when he is in the backyard.

How disappointing. for Me and Beau.

I might have had a fleeting thought of hoping the tree might just fall on the house before Saturday.
It did not.
Sunday morning the tree was gone

And we are now waiting on Nicole, she should be slapping us with gusting winds about the time this post hits and we once again await wind gusts to 5- to 60 or higher here.
Early AM Thursday, is supposed to be the worst.

President Joe Biden approves Florida emergency declaration ahead of Tropical Storm Nicole
If I don't show up, it might be the power, this will be on auto post.

Low Light Practice Shots

I used the gate in the hole for lowlight practice with the iPhone

Above is the one I chose out of 6 photos.

Top of collage is the one at the beginning, I tapped the screen to focus light on the ferns and fronds.

Bottof o collage I tapped the shadows in the middle to focus light. That left to many dark shadows. This will help when taking lowlight Christmas lights photos. Android does the same thing.

iPhone Camera Depth

iPhone cell practice shot using Portrait

To learn the inner workings of a camera, I sit in my chair
and poke the buttons and take a photo and delete it.
Using Portrait gives photos depth and a bokeh/blurred background.
After this shot, I discovered I could tap the screen on the place I wanted it to focus and using my thumb change the lighting.
the above was just using auto portrait.
The great news is, almost everything I learned by watching youtube videos, works on my Samsung also.

While eating lunch, I notice my tiny spray bottle was glittering.

tiny bottle fits in my hand

I tapped Portrait, tapped the bottle in different places taking shots of each.
I touched portrait, and started tapping the bottle on different spots and taking a photo.

I ended up with 3 that I kept to Play With. See below

The pics were really appealing to me, as I fiddled with them, I decided to cut the background and as I Fiddled with them ina little more in
PICMONKEY on a blank page, I did a little of this and that.
The condensation in the bottle inspired me.
Some of you may not understand my need to do this, but I find
"Inspiration can come from strange sources"

Joining Caturday Art

Maybe I could hire Julia Roberts to sell my photo. For some reason I thought of her.
I have watched several hours of youtube on hidden secrets of cell phones and this is one I learned that is good to know. Cell phone cameras can be activated without unlocking your phone, by swiping left on iphone and up on android. The camera works without using the fingerprint.

I am OK

I am Fine, but Not fine!
A blogger friend gave me her old iphone 7 plus to use as a camera, not as a phone.
Trying to get it set up and working kicked my butt.

The Problem is this. I have 16 posts in drafts, I created them a few a day while doing clean up.
My Mind is in Frenetic Mode, as in PTSD of a sort.

I can't think straight, I am in a fog, and this morning Bob asked me if there was anything he could do or NOT do that would help.
think EXTREME PMS woman... like that.

I am a mess, my mind I mean.
I just got two texts, 2 emails asking if I am ok.
I totally forgot to do emails,
Did not make coffee last night
The beat goes on
I think it could be caused by lack or order and ROUTINE.
I am OCD on Routine. I can't seem to get the old one back or create a new one.

Simple things like for 33 years in this house, and we had never used the front door key.
Now we come and go that way and that is a tiny thing to most people, but I hate it.
I hate the cars not in the garage.
The trash in the yard
The city is coming Thursday to run a sump pump for 12 hours in the back yard pumping the sewers,
the house next doors have workers.
I need TIME... I don't know how much.
I am not depressed; I am just MIND BLOWN.
it's my personality

I did get the iPhone to take pictures and I LOVE IT.. soon I will be blasting the E-waves with them.
See you soon...
