Bob, Bob and More Bob

I decided to go through my photos and gather all my Hubby Bob Photos... Bob is the best thing that ever happened to me. My life changed for the better the day we met. And continues to be better.

I had no idea how many I have.. LOOK UP TOP see the Tabs with yellow words? click on BOB... there is a lot of Bob in there. Seems my camera seeks him out a lot

Bob, irritated with MADSnapper because he hates the camera and I am stubborn and always aim it at him anyway....

the below photo instead of snapping I asked him to POSE... thus the number....if he sees this post I might be the one wearing the Number when he has me arrested for stalking.

Bob's Birthday Bash...

Bob's Choice for his Lunch Out for his birthday BASH... Think PHILLY CHEESE STEAK under the skylights in the Food Court of our local mall.... Not Kidding... that is what he chose.

We had a BLAST, after we stuffed ourselves, we hiked the length of the mall... here is the story in photos. Well, he hiked in the shadows, I SNAPPED at the shadows.

We found ourselves reverting to our childhood, looking at ourselves in the windows, putting quarters in the bubble gum machines.. It was a quarter, when we were young it was a penny.

We had to pass up riding the train, it was closed at the time
because we were the only KIDS in the mall.

There was a lot of giggling gong on...

We are now declaring ourselves officially regressed to our childhood... Yes, there were people staring and just like children, we did not care.

Black and White Sunday

Judy, A.K.A. Squirrel Queen, asked if I ever took black and white with the camera, the answer was no, i don't know if the Rebel will take black and white.... Well, yes it does.... I tried the jungle shot first

then I aimed the camera at the Jungle Keeper and got a scowl  (the spots on the shirt are from throwing chlorine into the pool when the wind was blowing in his face)

(yes, I could have removed said spots, but why bother)

a Stop now scowl...

and as I begged for a small smile, this was as good as it got.....he Almost Smiled

Two Addictions One Home!

While looking for a post, I found this from 2 years ago. I am trying something new. I put this back in drafts, and am now going to change the post date to today and see if it works. If this is showing you know it worked.
I want to see if it post the comments to. I was able to enlarge the photos, since 2 years ago they were tiny. HERE WE GO

Now to address the title of my post today. You all know I am addicted to clicking my camera at anything and everything. My husband is addicted to building, flying, designing Radio Controled Airplanes. YES that is a bi-plane on the kitchen table. Due to excessive cold weather in Florida this year and the fact there is no heat in my husbands workshop, our home has become an addtion to the garage/hangar.

we have jets on the kitchen counter.....

Jets on the pool deck

the good thing about bob's addiction is I can use my addiction to document what he does with his addiction.
Our Garage/Hangar has somewhere around 40 planes in it, NO PICTURE allowed of hangar for the public viewing. He loves flying the planes, but also loves designing and bulding his own planes from unexpected materials. YES they fly and fly well. He stares into space for hours and then grabs the pencil and starts drawing the plan, the next thing i know there is ANOTHER plane in the hangar.

This is his latest design and is very creative, can you guess what material he used to build this plane below? answer tomorrow.

Hubby and the Cable Gal

Above is my favorite Lizard Dude Leonard, he lives with his wife, Lizzie on our fence. His cousin Leon and his children are featured in past posts. If you want to meet them go to labels on the side bar and click on Lizards.
I want to share a story about my favorite human dude, Hubby Bob.
Thursday AM, Bob is on one computer and Me on the other. Well, not ON but On Line, sitting in a chair, make that 2 chairs, but I digress.
TAP! TAP! TAP! on the front door, which is the signal for all you know what to break loose in Canine Speak.
A knock on the door and the ferocious sound at the front window sounds like the hounds of the Baskervilles are coming out through the window. The window glass shakes with the sound. there are scratching sounds at the door.

Peeking out, to see who dared knock on the door, I saw a small, timid lady, huddled with a bag on her shoulder peering fearfully at the windows, afraid to walk in front of them to get back to her car. I looked at the car and saw Bright-house on the side panel, which means the lady must be a Cable Guy Gal
Since it is easier to contain the dogs, Bob goes out into the garage and pushes the magic button and as it slides up, she can see his feet and he can see hers, she has managed to walk to the front of her car, because I muzzled the noise.
Door goes up, and her eyes get really wide, she gingerly hands Bob her card and a brochure and says if you need any help, call that number and I will come and answer questions or assist. She races to her car and blasts out of the drive way like the hounds are after her.
You may wonder why the sight of a sweet guy like the one above appearing in a dark garage would scare the woman away.... Well! I mean he LOOKS like Santa in the wrong suit.
You see, he had been working in the garage in his Garage Clothes.... he is dressed in shorts full of stains and holes that are hanging almost off his you know what, because he lost 28 pounds and refuses to use good ones that fit. His shirt is a home made "wife beater" which he made himself by cutting the arms out and the neck out of an old white t-shirt. the shirt is full of holes from the propellers of his airplanes getting to close and holes from acid dripping on it.
Now picture those clothes on above man and put some sweat and dirt in the white hair and stand it all on end... Are you picking up what I am putting down????
Bob comes in laughing his head off, and I said What happened? what did she want? He said I wish you could have seen her face when the door rolled to the top.... she looked so frightened she could hardly speak, like she thought I might drag her inside with the dogs, you have got to blog this one. So I Did

Above photo was taken with my old Rebel and you can tell it was doing it's white out thing, the clarity with the first two is from the new Rebel. quite a bit of difference. I took all of them with the telephoto lens, since he gets a little skittish if I get 3 feet away, 5 feet is good.
Leonard A.K.A  Surfer Dude, to see more of my sweet guy and his lady, look at my labels for lizards.

Hubby's Hobby Hangar

Red Baron 18 inch see through, my favorite
We have a 2 car garage that our 2 trucks reside in but it is also a HANGAR and has more than FORTY radio control airplanes. Hubby built this red one out of meat tray foam, balsa sticks and monafilament see through paper. (12.00 bucks a roll) OOPS! should not say that.... the thing the motor is on is an old fishing rod.
Planes are in boxes high on shelves
 Planes hanging with the rakes
VERY LARGE PLANES with above motor that had motor in another life was a WEED WHACKER. he found it in the neighbors trash
Shelves loaded with WINGS ONLY and there is not one space on shelves or walls that are not covered with planes and parts
Above collage is how CRAZY the Hangar makes me feel, that is a wall covered, and the others are stacked and hung and just plain old PILED every where.
This is his PIN UP WALL over his work bench.. Do you see ME there ? NOT do you see Dale Earnhardt? YES Do you see all FOUR dogs? YES even though 2 of them have passed over the rainbow bridge

You might be asking if I still love him. YES! but not the HANGAR!

BABY GIRL K9 Reporter with a special news report......
Mommy asked me to tell you she does not accept, open or read forwards, due to  the virus/cookies that come with them. She says please do not send her any generic forwards, but she loves personal email.

Happy Hubby's Hobby

Can you guess what hubby's hobby is from above photo? can you guess what this is?

If you guessed Blue Core Insulation from Lowes, you guessed right. Hubby builds planes from these sheets of blue core. And they FLY. Above is the wing of his latest creation
The wing fits on this, please pardon his MESS
He spends hours in the Hangar designing and building planes and flies every single day of the year weather permitting and in Florida that is a lot of flying. (cold/hot/mosquito days, he uses the kitchen table, but that is another story)
He created this last week, the wing span is FIVE Feet. I am glad he has a hobby but there is one thing.
Our Garage is a HANGAR..... to be continued tomorrow.
Does your other half have a hobby? what is it and how does it effect YOU? Is it a Happy Hubby Hobby?

Spouse Speak!

This is my husband Bob, born and raised in Perkasie Pa. He moved to Florida in 1970 and never returned to PA. He is a died-in-the-wool southerner now. When we got married in 1985, he had never eaten grits or collard, turnip, mustard greens. Mother introduced him to the greens, he loves them now. I introduced him to grits and he loves that to.
Now for “The Point of this story”.
He cooks grits better than I do. 10 years ago, I had surgery and he learned to cook or go hungry, grits was one of the things he learned. His tasted better than mine, so since then, when I want grits he cooks it. Note I said IT, he still calls grits THEM, but that is another story.
Last night I said,” I want grits for dinner”, since I knew he did not want to cook, I said “why don’t you tell me how you do yours, I will do it the same way and see if it comes out the same”.
First he is sitting at the bar and telling me how to measure, before I can even get the measuring cup out, he comes to the stove and says let me show you how, he measures the water, puts butter in the water, measures the grits and pours it in the water when it starts to boil, then he starts stirring and says stirring is the secret. By this time I am laughing out loud. He says WHAT? I say “I feel like Tom Sawyer”, he says WHAT? I say “ you know like he got everyone to paint the fence for him while he sat back and watched.” He still did not GET IT, do you?
He loves dogs, planes, beaches, swimming pools, fishing and COOKING!
Since he refuses to let me take his photo, I have several Hundred of Him, most are grabbed when he is not looking. Note the Scowl in the above.
