Saturday Weekly UpDate ON Sunday

 I decided to Take Back The Living Room from All things that do not belong in a living room. For 13 months Bob's hospital bed has been in our living room and still is. I am a neat nut. As long as STUFF is out of sight I don't really care. If I can't see it, its not there.

To accomplish this, I removed everything from the double closet in the hall you see in the first photo, its big and is as long as the hall. It is now the pharmacy, Christmas, and anything that is for Bob's illness, like the small exercise bike (it made me crazy each time I sat on the sofa). 

We bought this house because the entire middle is one large room, Living Room, Dining and Kitchen, All in One! The 2 photos above, I turn my head left and the window on the world allows me to see the grass I cut yesterday and 3 houses across the street. Turn my head to the right now and the only thing is see is what you can see, but I can see the entire kitchen. The room is 25 Ft X 17 ft Wide.  

The good news is, the bed doesn't bother me, or the walker, and the potty and the bedside table that does bother me with all it's NEEDED clutter is hidden by Bob in the bed.

I parked the big Curb Trash Bin on the front porch and filled it full, leaving the spare  bedroom bed with donations, soon to be at the thrift store. Below is what is left. 

I did say it is a large closet, and doubles as MY power tools, Chargers for said tools, and 4 boxes of Christmas Stuff soon to be sifted and donated. The top shelf goes the entire length of the closet and actually has some space left.

I intend to switch some things by shopping every Thursday at the thrift stores which will be My Morning OUT...

Speaking of Thrift store...... hahahaha

Thursday event, went really well. I bought two items. 

Remember the measuring cup from Amazon, that I can look down and see the lines? the two cup one? Well their sat the 1 cup, brand new with sticker on, just like by two cup and Sticker Price was 

One Dollar, Twenty Nine Cents.

 As I dressed and put on my CROC Sandals that have thin straps, and were bought in 2017, I thought, I need new Crocs, sooner or later these straps are going to break.

 Once again, God put what I needed when I needed 

At the thrift store, I headed for the shoes and I went to the size shoe I wear and sitting there, waiting on me, was a pair of CROCS in My Size. Perfect Fit. I was over joyed. Like New! not a mark on them.

Since I had a little time left I sallied forth to the furniture store to wander and wish and as I stepped inside, The top strap that holds my foot in the Croc Sandals POPPED IN HALF.  

Can you believe it? I do..

If you are still with me, here is a a short update on the three of us.

 Beau:  hind legs  not so good,walking slower and shorter distance, hind legs  spread to the sides when standing, but stay straight when walking  and he still has periodic digestive distress.

Bob: Ambulatory with walker,  will not sit on Sofa, sleeps in our bed at night, spends the day in hospital bed. Dementia is  progressing. Example: he will only drink water, 7-up and Fruit Gatorade. I will say, you need hydrate, what do you want to drink. he says soda, that means any of the three. Now I say you need to drink, do you want 7up, water or red drink.  He can't remember the names. He also forgets to drink. He is mostly confused, and thinks the 1st of Sept is Memorial day, he is thinking about labor day, and doesn't believe me when I say its not until Sept 7.  The worst thing is I love to talk and there are subjects that will set him off, and I start to say something and remember not to and he says what were you saying?  

 I just sit on a branch sofa and say Never Done! Never Done!  and keep on truckin

OOPS! thought of one more thing I did this week. I bought the new cup for me and it bothers me so much that Bob's Cup Doesn't Match Mine, I bought him one too. 

Doesn't this look much better? I keep them both on the counter and it makes me feel
GOOD! His words were, doesn't matter to me, a cup is a cup.

OOPS 2: Today the house of 7 cars across the street, seen from my window on the world, is up for sale. Been empty 3 months and we have watched workers coming and going, and yesterday she put up a sign, and today the listing Agent put OPEN HOUSE in the front yard at 1 PM, and I waited long enough for her to get INSIDE the house to go to The Open House!    

As I walked out the door, Bob said where are you  going? I said to the Open House across the street. What? he said.  Why? and I replied if I don't return you will know curiosity does kill the cat.  

I returned one hour and 7 minutes later, when her 1st car pulled in the drive way. We had a blast. She is a Mirror Of Me... not as old  but close and when she found out I was selling RE and I worked for, we both talk over each other.  David G. If you made it this far you would change seats in a plane if you sat between Me and the Agent. 

She invited me back to the next one.... 

YAY! I had a Talking Outing. We no longer get visits from Home Health and I miss talking to the PT's. I KNOW they miss me. 😁😁😁

I'm A Little Teapot, or NOT

 

I am the queen of make do, and DO anything to save a penny or dollar.

The Make Do Teapot

I am a little teapot, short and stout,

I use the measuring cup, or do with out.

Fill with water and pop it in the microwave 

The water boils and dollars I save.

I take my cup and add fennel tea,

I pour the boiling water in and as you can see,

with a lid that goes on unused cans of dog food,

while the tea steeps,

Two minutes to make, and 10 to steep

I have a hot fennel tea, and my make do tea set is ready and I am still cheap!

My cost free,

the cup was 50 cents, the lid was free, the measuring cup was 1.00, and owned by me,

they are old, as old as can be, and now my tea set you can see

I sat my cup of tea on the counter and realized the sun dapples were pointing at it and the next thing I knew I had 3 different shots of my favorite teacup, that used to be my favorite hot chocolate cup.

I still yet to find a nondairy hot chocolate.

I found this photo of teacups for sale on Etsy. this is what a REAL teacup looks like to me.

There are gazillions of places that say all different things, if you look long enough you will find what you believe. Alas! that is the internet.
