Amazing Dwarf Poinciana

 Sorry for the Two Post day, but this plant makes me stare and stare and stare every morning. It is 6 feet tall and lives in a 5 gallon bucket, I have done many post on it, see label bucket garden on side bar.

 

 The Thing IS.... I can't stop snapping at it. Try to imagine 6 feet tall and FOURTEEN of these pods, and all 14 have been there for 6 weeks, that is the amazing part. I told Bobby Appleseed it is like it is frozen in time.

I have 12 post in my drafts and am going back to the beach tomorrow, so hope you don't suffer to much from a two post day

Lots of seed pods if anyone wants to try growing one of these.

Stormy Weather....

Last night the rains came, the thunder boomed, the lightniing flashed for 5 hours. the above bush is the one in the last photo on the first post today. you can see, it was beat down.

Hubby tied it all up and this is what I found on it.

Maters are all safe and sound and beautiful with raindrops

and look what it did to the baby peppers.. YIPEEE

 72 and counting, clusters of 7 in 3 places, none ripe yet, a few are turning a little yellow, still watching and snapping. 20 on this plant and 19 on the other, they are the plants outside our door in the sun all day, the bucket garden does not get as much sun and they have the other 30 on 5 plants.

Tomato Flowers....again....

Above photo is the tomato  and below is the flower it produces.

(bought tomato not ours, they are not ripe yet)

 

Old gardeners never die they just vegetate

We now have close  to 100  flowers in  waiting , soon to be tomatoes

. The research assistant couldn't experiment with plants because he hadn't botany.

this is the other type tomato, both are vine tomatoes, just a tad different.  Below are the flowers from this one, there is a marked difference in the flowers.

Some of you, did not know flowers produce the fruit from tomatos and other fruits. Here is proof

Are you amazed yet??? I am. My dad raised us on garden produce, but back then I had no digital camera and had no idea how much fun a tomato plant could be

My husband works over-thyme in his herb garden before he decides it is time to cummin!

Can any of you guess what the next thing is that my husband has planted? He asked me to buy one for the seed and I did.... YOU WILL SEE IT TOMORROW

23 Babies in the  bucket garden, all from slime on the counter....

HOT OUT OF THE CAMERA, 1:08 PM Sunday....

It may be true a watched pot will never boil.... but it is not true a WATCHED tomato will never GROW.

See how big our baby is? there are 7 on the 2 plants and 6 more on the others plants, for those who don't know, my hubsband grew these from tomato slime off the cutting board.
