Manatee Historical Village, Christmas 2009

Manatee Historical Village is a place I would love to live. It is acres old house and church, schoolhouse, general store and a whole lot more. I have visited there many times and will again. These photos are the house I love so much, inside and outside. I have spent many moments swinging on that porch and sometimes rocking. I used to spend my lunch hour there.
History of the village is HERE and my label Historical Village has 42 posts for people who like history.

I want to live there, too! Can I bring the girls?

PS - I'd totally forgotten about those oranges with the cloves(?) embedded! We used to make them in Girl Scouts, then wrap in netting to give our parents. I think that was the only time I've ever had any use for oranges, lol.

Oh I love everything about that home and the decorations are beautiful.
I agree, I could sit on that porch and swing or rock everyday. My dream has always been to have a wrap-around porch..not going to happen but I sure can dream.
I will look at the history link later..got to get busy getting ready for going to the Norse Christmas shin dig at the kids in a while.

Love that kitchen area and where the table is, I'd sit there all the time for sure. Nothing beats a good table. Happy Holidays!!!!
