Village of the Arts re-visit Ugly Duckling

Some of you remember the Village of the Arts Ugly Duckling above, a year ago. We wondered why it was there, I went back and they had painted it Blue, but still not like the other houses, see them Here is the link to see what the other houses look like in the Artist Village.  Most of them the artist lives and works and sells in these homes.

On Big Boys morning ride, Sept 18th, 2020 We rode down there to get these photos of the finished product. Remember we wondered why that huge blank wall on the side. I found out the art hangs on that wall and this is an Art gallery, posted signs say closed except for online to view and make appts.

Due to the pandemic. The village is struggling like all other small business owners.
This is how the house  looks now

The Name is Jan Lewis Fine Art and HERE is her website..  you can see her Originals HERE and also prints that are available.

I love her paintings! Especially the big pink flower and sunset. But all of them are so good! This blue paint job makes a world of difference in the house. It looked awful before, now it is kind of pretty.

That's really sad that the village is struggling. This pandemic has hurt so many businesses.

Beautiful paintings. I wish I could paint. I can make a splash but nothing like that.

I really like it blue with the white trim.
Oh so many businesses are in dire straits. WE had protests in downtown Raleigh in May that turned into riots...just as some of the business were about to reopen after 3 months...there was so much destruction to many of the business they could not afford to make repairs. Many are still boarded up.
Very sad.

Her art work is beautiful but the decorations on her pretty blue house sure aren't extreme like the others.

Hello dear Sandra. It all looks so neat and clean around that art house. Thanks for sharing. Yes businesses have taken strain here as well. We're on Lockdown level 1 and the Choir school is now able to sing to 250 people in the audience. They (the audience) have to wear their masks at all times. Please give Big a BIG hug from Aunty Jo (Skabby's Mum)

Thanks for sharing Jan's link. I nearly lost myself scrolling through. In fact - until I saw the price - I was really drawn to Summer 1944. Reminds me of something Norman Rockwall might have created.
I hope today is a good one ... for all 3 of you.

You can't go wrong with blue. With purple, on the other hand . . .

It's so sad that so many small businesses are going under.
People's Gifts are being snuffed out for sure.
The house looks so much better now and the white fence helps balance the size next to the single dwellings.
Thanks for bringing us up to date. I will take a look at her web site too.
Haven't gotten any more wedding photos..I have to say I'm chomping at the bit...Will post as soon as some are available.

For some reason, I tried leaving a comment on BlG's blog and it's not publishing (I can't see a msg of approval, so I'll leave it here...) he was a hero with warning about the carrots...he has touched our hearts.
