In Memory of Delbert Reeder (Jan 7, 1932-Feb 7, 2017)

The Man on the middle cross was without blame
There they crucified him, and with him two others--one on each side and Jesus in the middle.
John 19:18

Two crosses from Israel, created using wood from the olive tree.
Two friends went to the Holy Land in 1992 and returned with my gift of two crosses.
The one framed  in the heart using PIP hangs on a necklace of coffee beans.
I added the necklace in order to wear it.
I use the other one on my small Christmas tree.
The song below is one we sang often and one of my Dad's favorite songs.

I do this in Memory of My Uncle Delbert, (Jan 7, 1932-Feb 7, 2017) who went home to be with Jesus

This last cross is beautiful. It also makes me think of shamrocks, with the ends of it in threes. Coffee beans must last forever, something I didn't know. So sorry about your uncle. This is one of the hardest things about being our age, watching so many of our friends and family pass on. The hymn is beautiful, truly gorgeous!

Such a lovely hymn, Sandra. Even tho' we attend a less-formal church, I appreciate the sanctity/solemnness (?) of this video.

A coffee-bean necklace sounds neat, and I love the tiny crucifixes.
