I have know Bonnie for all of her years, and I was shocked to find out her house is full of beautiful quilts, all made my her. two of them I am still trying to figure out how to sneak them out when she is not looking.
this is a Paper Doll Quilt. Top Photo is the doll, she told me to lift her clothes and she has on adorable underwear. I tried to get a shot, but Bonnie broke her foot two weeks ago, and could not lift for me to take one.
on each of 4 corners the quilted clothing is snapped on and they can be removed to dress the doll in another out fit. She has made quilts for all 7 of her grand children. I only saw photos of those. she is a gifted seamstress, another thing I did not know.
I did not take any other photos but I did have to grab this depression wear vase with silk flowers.
Just Because
I forgot to mention, she raises worms for fishing and to feed the dozen or so chickens she has and has started a garden.

That is indeed skilled work. So glad you got to make that visit. YAM xx
that is super sweet,... we can discover always new small details, what an artpiece!!!
What a cool and fun quilt. Your cousin is a multi talented person with all that she does.
Miriam is a quilter and makes a baby quilt for any friend that has a new addition to the family. We were only commenting the other day that she has been making less of late as more and more young people decline the pleasure of children, not wishing to bring them into a world that is sliding towards environmental and social disaster.
The quilt is so pretty and creative, your cousin is very talented.
Take care, have a great day!
Sandra Bonnie's quilts are G O R G E O U S!!

Oh, that Paper Doll quilt is a wonderful idea...one I have never seen! And I have seen a lot!
I have never heard of a quilt like this, it is amazing!!! I know that you and I both used to love playing with paper dolls. It is a sight to behold. And the flowers are gorgeous, especially the big purple poppies. Did she make them too? I also am interested in that magazine; I will Google it!
What an amazing quilt..so unique. I would have never thought of doing something like that. What treasures for her grands.
Talk about eclectic tastes...from worms to depression glass (a favorite of mine)
Praying for your friend who is ill too. (((hugs)))

Wow!! What beautiful quilts, Bonnie is very talented!
Never have I ever heard of a paper doll quilt! I love the nod to the 50's poodle skirt outfit. Now, I'm wondering why in the heck I think I need one (ha).
I treasure the two quilts mother made, but strongly suspect those sorts of things don't mean so much to young people today.
Lovely, she is very talented.
That quilt is pretty amazing! Worms? WOW!
That's an amazing quilt and what a gifted person to make them. I have not seen one like it. I have never thought that people raise worms. A friend of ours built a compost and bought worms to aerate the compost, or something like that. Just thought that they might have bought them from someone like Bonnie. What a beautiful vase and flowers!
F makes a few patchwork things but at a very amateur level compared to that. The doll with different clothes is very clever.
I love this quilt. so pretty and fun. your cousin is very talented.
I am TOTALLY impressed. Quilting - just regular quilting is time consuming and hard. Then she really went out of her way with the paper doll one - I have never seen that before. And all 7 grands. She is amazing.
Wow! The kids must love them.
