Theraputic Visit with Cousin Bonnie part 2

Bonnie met me at the door and said YOU MADE IT! Did you have any trouble?
Nope, came right here, just like you said I would, we discussed all the building and and new roads and the growth and I told her about the white knuckle driving with a super large Touring Bus, as in Movie Star type traveling, that rode my bumper the whole time. The road was 3 lanes wide, and he could have passed. I got rid of him by slowing from 60 down to 50, he passed me. I had to move him because rear ended by that monster would be instant death.
Besides I had to slow to find the right turn. I Shared a few other white knuckle Moments while she walked me through her home.
and now I will tell you
just how far I had to drive to get to Bonnies house.

ELEVEN MILES/17 kilometers, Drive time 20 minutes because it was Saturday at 8 am,

the first photo I took was the chandelier in the living room ceiling fan.
I LOVE IT.

she said, come look at the bedroom fan.
We talked non stop for 2 solid hours, and I drove home without incidents, except for
TRAFFIC which had by 11:30 picked up speed and cars and I bypassed the clogged
road to the beach.
I called this therapeutic visit, because I felt so good about driving myself those 11 miles, and telling myself I can become a non wuss, and besides talking is one of my favorite things to do.
My other cousin Shari, has a daughter with a new ranch, with animals and dogs etc. I was invited to a cousin dinner but did not go because I am afraid to try to find it.
It involves new roads that were not there and I have not been in that part of the county for about 5 years. that is time for a lot of building. Bonnie says you will not recognize it.
We made a date for Sat Aug 5th. She will pick me up and drive me from my house to Jami's house and all around to see the new stuff and then she said I will be able to drive it.
The Thing Is.... I am still a traffic wuss. We shall see, what we shall see.

Isn't it gorgeous?
PS In Florida almost every home has ceiling fans, a must in the tropics. I did not know they came with chandliers.

I'm glad you went and had a good time, and that she'll take you on the 5th so you can learn the way.
You should be proud of yourself! That's a scary thing to do, so no calling yourself a wuss!

Those are the prettiest ceiling fans I have ever seen.
I like to use google maps when I'm going somewhere I'm not sure of. It tells you when to turn and always gets you where you're going. Try it out on a short trip one of these days.

I am not so sure that traffic wuss is a good description. Smart woman who recognizes the restrictions imposed by age seems better to me. It’s wonderful that you can be picked up to visit your niece’s new place. Families should always help each other in this manner.

Hello,

You did good driving. I will slow down and make the tailgaters pass me too.
We have to go more than 11 miles to the closest food store. The ceiling fans are pretty. It is nice you cousin will come and pick up for the next family gathering! Take care, have a great day!

Yay, you!
Gosh, those ceiling fans look like something out of Hollywood ... or a bridal boutique. Our furnishings could never 'measure up'!
Debbie's sis and BIL recently moved to a Del Webb community in Palmetto(?) and she was telling me how all the new construction and traffic is INSANE. You just brought to mind another of my phobias, and that's being tailgated, especially 18-wheelers. I know, we could get one of those big magnetic signs to put on the the backs of our cars: "Student Driver."

LOL LOL LOL SANDRA 11 miles you really did put on your big girl panties for that trip. You are so funny.
I do love all the beautiful fans and chandeliers.
We have ceiling fans/with lights in 4 rooms. But not the bedroom. We have a floor fan if needed. Neither of us like to sleep under the fan.

I've never even seen a ceiling fan IRL, only on TV/film. Funny coincidence, in a house makeover program I just watched, I saw a ceiling fan combined with light, I think that was a first for me too - but it was no "fancy" chandelier like this.

Glad you have another outing to look forward to - and without having to drive yourself!

That wasn't too long of a drive and I'm glad you made it. I hate when people are on tail. Glad you slowed down to get him to pass you. Yes, you can do it. Since I've had to drive Mark around so much lately that has given me more confidence to do all the driving with James. I am so glad she is picking you up to go to the ranch. The lamps are very pretty. I do use Google Maps when I'm going someplace new, like seeing a new doctor, and I find it very helpful.

It is gorgeous and what a delightful visit you had, with another very soon. You should be proud of yourself. Traffic is scary especially with big trucks on the roads. It seems like every hour of the day is rush hour here. I haven't driven for a very long time on my own. I need to take a short trip just to make sure I can still drive.
