He looks big here, but he is only about 24 inchs tall. Skeeter is the size of a big dog, he will get to be about 30 inches tall, right now he is small enough I could stand with my legs on either side touching the ground. they live to be 25 to 35 years old and make great family pets, quick learners. some people train them for petting zoos, therapy pets for nursing homes and use them in Nativity scenes at Christmas.
If you are in to hiking, they make perfect pack animals, Kathy plans to train Skeeter to pull a cart to help with ranch work. She and her husband Robert have 7 horses and 2 dogs and now a beautiful little donkey. Everyone who lives on the ranch has a JOB
I think the below photo shows Skeeter has a very talented make up artist to get all that eye shadow just right. Can you tell I am in love.
Donkey's are: Cute, entertaining, fun to watch, and I found most of the above info Minature Donkeys

He's adorable Sandra looks a real little character. Hope you enjoyed your weekend away from blogging.
Skeeter is precious, and yes, I can see you are in love. 24 inches is very small. He looks much bigger in the pictures. I know you enjoyed your visit with him and all the other animals!
Welcome back Sandra, I missed you!
Hope you enjoyed your time off. Those little donkeys are adorable.
He is adorable.... I think my cocker, Daisy, is about his size. If he likes to snuggle and sleep, they would get along famously!
Skeeter is adorable! He looks about the size of Oliver, our dalmatian.
Great photos of a photogenic subject.
Best,
Bonnie
If you were feeling down today, then so was the little donkey. He looks so sad, especially in the third picture! What a cute post and a good way to start off the week. But really, someone needs to give him some ice-cream.
Skeeter is definitely a cutie. I don't think I've seen a miniature donkey that small before.
How cute is that! We didn't have miniature ones in Haiti, but I loved those "bouriks." They are literally work-donkeys. I would say work horses, but that wouldn't be quite right.
Did I ever tell you I sideswiped one on my motorbike one time?
Skeeter is a very cool looking donkey! I've heard of miniature horses but never of miniature donkeys.I learned something new today :-)
I agree with Ginny, he looks a bit sad. Reminds me of Eeyore in Winnie-the-Pooh... ;)
He's so precious! I think I want one!! He and Doogie could share my little backyard!! Okay - maybe not...but he's still cute!
Being Mike and Beth said no to getting me a doggie brother or sister, I wonder if I could get one of these? I bet they like football!
Oh Sandra, Skeeter is just precious... I love the 'makeup'... ha ha ..... They are great little animals to make people smile.... I love him!!!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
Hi Sandra thanks for comment on my post the curvy shape is made up of rocks in the shape of a number nine. I believe it was done by an artist some years ago. It made for good foreground interest. Kev
a very good looking pet.
I had a friend who had a pet donkey ... she used to let it come in the house ...
Skeeter is SOOOOO adorable. Aw. I would love to have a miniature donkey.
And how great is it that everybody has a job!? Wish I could get the same deal with Jimmy and oreo. LOL!
What a little sweetheart, he is so cute. I love those fuzzy little ears in the last photo, they make me want to pet this little fellow. Looking forward to more photos of your visit.
I loved this Sandra!! These images are superb and its so good to know this! What a sweetheart:))
He is so cute. It would be fun to have one as a pet.

Well, I just never would have thunk that a donkey was good for the soul, but you are right. What a cutie! Here from BPOTW!
What delightful pictures. I can tell that he would be very good for the soul - so much furry cuteness!
Is it true that if you look down from above them...they have a cross on their back?
