I'm still here! |
Two days off from blogging has me Bored Out Of My Mind! This post is a Heads UP Explanation!
Health Issues have me down in the dumps, and when I am DOWN I get snarky and sarcastic with my comments, which means negative posts and negative comments.
None of you want that for sure!
Headaches continue, I am Living on RX for dizzy so I don't fall down and hurt myself while hoping it is left over from Covid and will disappear. It is better than it was.
Sorry if this is TMI
IBS symptoms are forcing me to wear diapers when I go out, when I walk the dog, when I shop.
I walk like a toddler with cloth diapers pinned on, you know, the wide leg, side to side waddle.
I can't wear my pretty printed leggins, black is the color for just in case.
I have only two tops that are long enough to cover the enhanced and much larger bum.
Change of clothes, extra diapers ride in the car.
My brain is catastrophizing and spinning like mad.
Yes, I went to the doctor, make that 4 doctors in one office, in 4 weeks, the last one on the 23 said she would refer me to a GI specialists for the IBS.
8 days later with no call for appt, I called the GI doc office, NOPE never got a request, then she says let me check the computer to make sure it is not lost, we get over 100 a day!
NOOOOO!
I called my doc office, she says I see she sent it in the computer but it is in the wrong 'bucket' and did not go. I will send it now and mark it
STAT!
I said, I wonder if STAT will do any good if they get 100 per day .
I am nw waiting for an appt which will be MANY appts for testing and weeks of torture,
Mean while........
Bob went for his 6 week surgeon check up on his knee, and told them he wants to get the second knee done, he made an appt for 11/11 to talk to doc about starting the ball rolling.
I was fighting tears so could not talk in the doctor office.
On the way home I said I CAN"T DO THIS NOW!
your first knee nearly killed me. and dealing with my health issues will take visits and testing and maybe surgery.
He said What were you dealing with? What health issues?
Just Strike me Now!

You are one of the first people on my mind every day...whether I email or not. I hope you dont have to wait forever for appt....
You are the best! I absolutely adore you. And seriously care about you, about your health. Thank you for being so open about your problems. I know all your blogger friends will write in and support you.
Cheerful blogs are fine when you feel cheerful.
Honest and true blogs are the best.
I feel awful also, I haven't said much, I may now. Sending lots of love to you. Not sure what to do about Bob.
OMG Bob!! Just what planet are you living on? Sorry. But it's so perplexing what "our men" come up with.
GET WELL Sandra.
Hello,
I am sorry you are feeling so bad. I hope you can get an appointment soon.
You must be good at hiding your feelings from Bob, he has no idea?
Your blogging friends are here to support you, sending healing and well wishes.
You poor dear. You really have had too much to handle especially when you have so many health issues too. I don't know what to say except HANG IN THERE! We love you!
Forever and ever ... you can't get rid of us that easily, m'dear. 💛💛💛
Today's avatars are the cutest so far!
PS - Now I'm wondering what my grandmother did before someone invented adult diapers. She was the one who coined the term, "Willer disease."
Oh Sandra, Bob and my DH are so much alike it's crazy! I cannot tell you the number of times I've said, "It's not all about you all the time". Men seem to think we are impervious and bionic even when we don't feel well. I am so sorry for your lack of medical care and that you are still battling residual COVID after effects!! That is insane which is probably why you're going crazy!!...jp

As an IBS bearer myself you know I understand - and that anyway, I am on Team Sandra!!! I have to say, on one hand, it is amazing that Bob is actually asking for the second knee - it shows what a success the first has been (in these early days) - but REALLY??? Can he not see how you are??? Or are his eyes going too? Sorry, Bob, the gals are gathering on this one!!! Here's to an appt quick smart and that something is useful for you. Stress definitely exacerbates the IBS... and the dizzies... and digestion... hmmmm.... managing stress might be key here! Hugs from afar. YAM xx
Sending you tons of hugs ~~~
Ooohhhwwww poor you and at the same time much respec' that you can write about it all and make those amazing avatars. So many things cause, trigger or exacerbate IBS that it is a condition without a 'diagnosis' - that is to say it is a huge collection of symptoms, effects, and means of management and most sufferers only have some of that collection - probably fortunately. (F gets crippling pain and can't walk but no need for diapers!) I hope some testing narrows down your particular set of causes and helps get them under control. Bestest wishes from Mr T and F
Rick, I mean Bob - lol - listen!
Well some of the stress of his knee is reason for IBS I think. I am glad you are taking care of your self - you need to wait a month on Bob - it is your turn - you need to get the dizziness and IBS under control. Prayers.
Sandra, I'm with you all the way. It all seems too much some days doesn't it? Just keep telling yourself that you are strong and you can cope with anything, that's what I do, it helps some of the time.
Other than that I can't help. If I lived nearby I would be round in a shot to give you moral support.
Lots of Hugs from over the pond.

It's hard looking after hubby and not being well yourself. Please take care and you know we're all thinking of you. Your comments on my blog posts are always welcome. Sending love and praying for you and Bob.
Thank you so much for letting us know. Sending love, hugs, and best wishes. I’m gobsmacked by Bob. ❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕
I'm saying DITTO to Anni's comment.. Bob!!! what planet are you living on. Glad he wants the other knee done but holy cow..really not being aware of you and your difficulties...that's just too much.
Prayers for healing for you, physically and emotionally..
You are a good friend and I want the very best for you. (((hugs)))
Sue
I can totally understand your brain "catastrophizing and spinning like mad"... ♥♥♥
Seriously, he said what issues??? I'm glad you made the call and I hope your appointment is scheduled soon. ((Hugs)) No, he can't get another knee replacement until you're better. Praying for you.
Just tell him - no new knee until you are feeling 100 percent better!
Hope you get an appointment soon and get some meds to help with this.
5 better
OH NOOooooooo!! Maybe the problem with Bob is his memory? But this is just too much! He cannot get his other knee done unless you make arrangements for him to go in rehab afterward. You just CANNOT do it! This has me so flustered, stand up for your health and life! On the good side, now they will start the tests, which should lead to a diagnosis and then to helping it! I am so glad to see you back, and never want you to pretend to be upbeat. I want to know what bloggers are really feeling, we can all help and sympathize with each other. I love your tiny violin.
Oh Sandra I'm so sorry all the stress of the last several months have taken a toll on your health. Stress affects one from head to toe.
I sure do hope by the time Bob's 2nd knee surgery time arrives you have some answers about your own
Healing hugs
Cecilia
So Bob said that to you and he's still breathing? Men really have no clue.
I'm so sorry that you are going through all this. If you're feeling sarcastic and get bored don't worry about leaving snarky comments on my blog, I won't mind at all.
Hello Sandra,:=) Knowing how poorly you feel, I was surprised to see anther post from you. Bob's reaction was unfathomable! Men!!!
Now you know how much we care about you, I hope it helps. We all hope you get the help you need for the dizziness, headaches the symptoms of IBS, and stress! Be just as honest with Bob as you have been with us, Surely he can wait until you feel better before having another knee surgery. Tell Bob to wait, until you can cope with your health issues, and his as well.
Sending hugs and empathy your way.
Work on the stress - my hubs will attest to that - for IBS. So very sorry you have so much going on. You are in my thoughts and prayers for much better days asap.
I am sorry to hear that you have all these struggles. you must take care of yourself in order to be of help to Bob or anyone else.
So sorry to hear what an awful situation you are enduring. You have to shout out to Bob that its your turn to get fixed and him to be nurse. His Knee can wait. IBS is an awful problem. I think I have it but its not been diagnosed yet. Hug your dog and try to destress. I wish for you to get help and improve. Sending Hugs.
Tons of virtual hugs from me as well...
It's time for you to have some serious ME time. I can understand how anxious and at "sixes and sevens" you must feel, and Bob is no help! You are going through some serious hell right now.
Oh hun, I'm so sorry for all the misery! It's a lot to have happening. I don't know your financial situation and I am not a doctor, but I have two pieces of advice: If you can afford it, get an aide to help you the first week at least. 2 sets of aides, cover the 24 hours, the first week, if possible. Secondly, for the IBS, and as I say I am not a medical professional but after literally years of their quackery, a friend told me to take Immodium first thing in the morning, then a few during the day, for my IBS, and after years of struggling, fancy medicine, unpleasant tests, etc and no relief, I have been fine for years, with the Immodium regimin. A doctor yelled at me that (TMI) it would make me constipated, and I said WHAT A GREAT THING THAT WOULD BE! I wish you luck. I won't go into the whole "what health problems" remark your hubby made, I get livid and mine is just the same.
God bless you, my sweet friend!!! I shall UP my prayers for you and 'mention Bob in passing'....... Haha! Just kidding! I pray for you both but will be more specific now. Amber has a long history of IBS - she sufferes from several physical problems since the Quad pregnancy.
Men are so obtuse!!! It's really ALL ABOUT THEM andI don't know if they are just wired that way or what!! I'msendingLouis Dean to the doctorfor aroutine follw up appointment tomorrow afternoonallby himself....as they don't allowanyoneunless there's a realreason. I feellike I may need to pina note to his shirt!
Love you, Sandra. I'm so sorry you have had so much to deal with lately.
Awww Sandra, I am so sorry you have been through all of this. It's enough to beat anyone down to the ground. Here's a big virtual hug for you with the hopes that sunshine is on its way.
