See Bobs arm in the above collage? he is dumping what he calls The Dinner Bell. He gets in the pool daily, several times most days and skims the leaves and debris which include numerous gnats and other bugs. He taps it on the deck to make it come out of the net. The tap of the net rings half a dozen lizards running. The sit and wait and when a bug is dumped they rush out and grab it. It is so much fun to watch. they know the sound, like the tadpoles no when I put Romaine Lettuce in the water of the rain barrel.
With Romaine off the shelves due to endangering our lives, I had to find something else.
They love this ReptoMin… It floats on the water and each little piece will have tiny frogs nibbling on it. 2 and 3 at a time.
So yes, we feed the lizards and frogs and tadpoles. Good news is??? Frog food cheaper than lettuce and Bob's lizard food is FREE.
Bob said to tell you, he has seen a lizard an inch long eat a bee, they grab what ever falls out no matter the size, them or the food.

So cute! I have not heard of this food. I want to see a video of Bob tapping the net and all the lizards come running!

ding ding ding!!!! YAM xx
I'm with Ginny, a video of the lizards coming for dinner would be great.
They just put romaine back out on the shelves at our store. We got a letter from our wharehouse saying all lettuce was safe to put out
Hello,
I would like to see the lizards coming for their dinner too. It sound so cute.
You are all so kind to feed the wildlife in your yard. Have a happy day!
Fine dining for reptiles in a can...you are the best reptomom I know.
Hugs Cecilia
think it's cute when nature responds to a call for food. We used to have a rabbit that would come running/hopping when we asked if someone wanted a carrot.
You definitely are ReptoMom...
I had no idea they even had food like that...fascinating.
Like everyone else I would love to see the lizards come running for dinner too.
What a fun way to observe your local nature...or maybe they are more like pets now :-)!
You have all sorts of critters there. So take a video of Bob tapping and the critters running out.
That is so cute about the skimmer 'dinner bell'! I, too, would love to see a video. Those floating food sticks are a GREAT idea! I love your tender hearts!
You two have so many experiences with wildlife in your yard! And make it fun for us!
Yeah, that is great you found a cheaper way to feed the critters. Kudos to you and Bob for feeding them. Hugs
I love how the little critters are educated. They know an easy meal from kind animal lovers.
That's pretty cute about the lizards waiting for bugs. Glad you found something else to feed the frogs.
