I am thinking of making Bob shave his beard. I have never seen him without it. He has had it for 50 years and never shaved it...
The reason I want him to shave it???? I think the reason he never ages, is the beard hides the WRINKLES! How do we know what is under there, will he look OLDER?
I have no way to hide my wrinkles. And now that I mentioned that, I may have to start shaving.
It seems I have 7 HUGE stiff white hairs on my chinny chin chin.... I cut them off with scissors and they grow faster and get longer...
Of course I can put off the shaving thing until they set us free from the dreaded MASK..
it sure covers the brown spots and stiff hairs and wrinkles. It also makes me crazy trying to talk through it and understand others talking through it... I long for a conversation with non mask wearing people.
But I don't have to worry about beards or wrinkles for now. I want to make my eyes look better, despite the droopy hooded thing going on.
Now if only I could find mascara that I am not allergic to.... if i paint up the eyes they get red rimmed and runny....... that part shows above the mask and says LOOK isn't she a mess.

Yes, Happy Birthday to Bob! Andy and I have long ago given up on how we look. We have sense enough to know that mirrors and cameras lie, so why should we pay attention to them.

You are sounding a little down. I can imagine it must be awful in the states at the moment.Luckily we haven't had to wear masks much in Queensland. They do in Victoria. We have to wear them in some places. I had to wear one in the podiatrist's and X-Ray clinic today. When I took it off it ripped out my hearing aids and they got tangled up in the elastic of the mask. I wasn't a happy chappy. So I feel sorry for you.
Happy Birthday to Bob. Good luck with trying to get him to shave his beard off. Wade had one during the winter but would shave it off come spring. He would ask which way I liked him better and then get mad because I said both.

All things that we have to put up with Sandra, not fair is it? I have a mini shaver that I do my face with. Some people have said that 'it will grow back thicker' but is doesn't and it makes your skin look so much better. I was horrified to find long hairs that I hadn't noticed, lol

Since my husband's surgery is forcing me to be out and about, I notice that my dry humor is being misunderstood without the following smile.

I have not been able to wear mascara for years now...my eyes itch awful when I do. I use tweezers and pull out my whiskers!
Bob is sooooooooo handsome! Say, if that beard comes off, may I have some to plug in my head? Mine's gone naturally white anyway, and now it's falling out something awful.
I love that my mask hides my wrinkly jowls, but there's little to do about my droopy eye-lids. Mother had the same thing -- but because her optician allowed it was interfering with her vision, she got the lid lift paid for by Blue Cross. I quit wearing mascara 3 years ago, but still use a powder-base eyeliner.

Oh no don't make Bob shave his head or his face they are his signatures!!
LOL However it would be interesting to see if he has many wrinkles under the beard. Probably not since his face is hidden from the sun.

I cannot BELIEVE you have never seen the bottom of your husband's face! That is WILD! He looks in maybe better shape than he actually is. Tell him Happy Birthday for me. I tweeze my chin hairs out! That way, it takes them much longer to grow back. And I have quite a few. But now with the masks, it is not so important. Still, I wouldn't want Phil to think he is married to a hag.
Ahhhh...the dreaded aging process...welcome to the club. I am startled when I see a close up of me..where in the world did all those wrinkles come from? And the hands...we won't even talk about those...

It's like an appendage on him..good luck. It would take a long time to grow it back to where it is now.
Makeup and my eyes don't get along too well either... I would like to wear some but with all my wrinkles I think I would just look like a "Painted Lady"

Medicare pays for droopy lid surgery. I had a friend have it done.

Happy Birthday to Bob! Love the photos. I wish Mark would at least keep his hair and beard maintained. I want the before Covid face! I got a electric thing for those chin hairs years ago. Love it. It only take the hard ones and they take weeks to grow back. Best investment I ever made.
