one flamingo very busy unloading the paper from my bag. He/She pulled out each paper and dropped it on the ground. I regret I can't find the picture I took of the papers on the ground.
Flamingos are always great if you need a smile. Humor is their thing.
Flamingos like company and the more the merrier. Flamingos live in groups called colonies. They won’t nest unless there are other flamingos around. Both male and female flamingos mound up mud for a nest for their 1 egg and take turns incubating it. When chicks hatch, their down is gray or white
Twist-preen— The bird twists its neck back and appears to preen its feathers with its bill quickly.
During the day flamingos preen using their bills and spreading oil from a gland near the base of their tail through their feathers. They spend 15 to 30% of the day preening.
Standing on one leg is their most comfortable position.

Good Morning Sandra, I love seeing your Flamingos. Where in Florida are you??? I used to live in Venice (in the '70's) and in Jacksonville (in the early 80's). I enjoyed my years there --but missed my mountains and the seasons.
Hugs,
Betsy
Wonderful again! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the flamingo getting into your camera bag! The pictures are wild! I think I will have to download them. I don't know what I'll do with them, but they're too good not to have. My husband says he's heard of another reason they stand on one leg. Because when they stand in the water, to the fish it looks like a small tree limb, not like legs, so they aren't scared of it, ensuring the flamingo more food.Of course,it's just a theory. Thanks for asking about Anne. She's not had a fever since sunday now and today is her first day back at school. She will be Trick Or Treating tomorrow.
I have really enjoyed your Flamingo pictures, they really are beautiful birds.
The photo of Mr/Ms Flamingo unpacking your papers is priceless.
Sunny :)
