Kiss of Spring

Spring makes its own statement, so loud and clear that the gardener seems to be only one of the instruments, not the composer. ~Geoffrey B. Charlesworth

April prepares her green traffic light and the world thinks Go. ~Christopher Morley, John Mistletoe

If you enlarge this photo you will see all the dead limbs, or what appear to be dead limbs of our hisbicus. this one flower has appeared even though there are not many leaves on it. Living proof of the kiss of spring.

If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome. ~Anne Bradstreet

When God gives any man wealth and possessions, and enables him to enjoy them, to accept his lot and be happy in his work—this is a gift of God. ecclesiastes 5

Great blog "Kiss of spring"
It seems to come on so very slow, and all of a sudden it seems to just explode. It seems like onlu yesterday I say small buds on the azalias, and yesterday some flowers. This morning when we got out of bed, "Flowers every where. Good morning Spring.

It is wonderful to see life spring from the "dead," or seemingly dead.

Will you email me your address, please. I wrote you a thank you note and even put the stamp on it.

The hibiscus is beautiful. The kiss gets to you much quicker than to us but I can still tell it's on the way.

So beautiful. I love hibiscus. Amen to the gardener being one of the instruments, an important one, but still one.

Duh!! It went through both times even though it said ERROR! Come to think of it, I think this happened on another blog, too. Because I remember it leaving the double comments.

Hi Sandra, More gorgeous photos... AND--your quotes are so interesting... Spring IS an interesting season, isn't it??? I think that we all love spring SO much because it follows a rough winter (for most of us)... We love the idea of NEW LIFE---NEW GROWTH.

This is the time of year that I love to 'walk my yard' and check everything for new growth... SO awesome!!!!

Lovely header... Love the black and red!

Have a great day.
Hugs,
Betsy

Love the title of this post Sandra. The hibiscus bloom is beautiful even without leaves. We usually have such cold winters that most of my plants and bushes will look dead but then in the spring they almost all come back to life.

Love your new header.

Beautiful flowers! And yes, it is like a miracle every time life actually breaks through again from a seemingly lifeless branch...
