Pineapple Shadows and Photoshop 7

Above photo out of the camera (this is the top of my famous pineapple)

Sun was shining = shadows and its practice time in photoshop


Using levels adjusments to edit


Playing with Filters, poster edge


changing to black and white by desaturation


Black and white using Channel Mixer, thanks to Picturit for the instructions on using Channel Mixer on his Ansel Adams post.

Looks like you are really enjoying playing around in Photo Shop... There was another blogger who used to post things using things like 'poster edges'....

I like them all--and really don't have much preference when it comes to them... I'm happy with my Photo Shop Elements and Picasa ---so have no interest in trying to change pictures... I usually like them straight out of the camera. BUT--guess I'm not a 'real' photographer... ha... I just love taking pictures and showing them as they are...

Keep on learning and you'll just get better and better.... Glad you are enjoying Photo Shop.

Poster Edges is one of my favorite filters in PSE.... you are having fun I see....keep it up Sandra Adams!

Looking good, my favorite is the middle one with the richer greens and more texture to the wood in the background.

Try out the B/W settings on your camera sometimes, you can get some awesome effects in monochrome. Maybe one of these days I'll take a look at Photoshop.
