Red is a very emotionally intense color
Per Color Wheel Pro
Red brings text and images to the foreground. Use it as an accent color to stimulate people to make quick decisions; it is a perfect color for 'Buy Now' or 'Click Here' buttons on Internet banners and websites.
In advertising, red is often used to evoke erotic feelings (red lips, red nails, red-light districts, 'Lady in Red', etc).
Red is widely used to indicate danger (high voltage signs, traffic lights).
This color is also commonly associated with energy, so you can use it when promoting energy drinks, games, cars, items related to sports and high physical activity.
OR, it could just be a PRETTY RED PLANT at Selby Gardens

Red is a great color and it sure is pretty on that flower. I read your red post and I'm feeling energized already :)
Red is one of my favorite colors on flowers and birds too!
Beautiful plant and Great explanation of the color red.
Love the Pretty Red Plant but I especially like the shadows on the leaves.
Love the RED! That color always seems to energize me. The red plant is quite lovely.
Red always calls out for attention! ;)
I just fell in love with that red plant, I wanted to kiss it and caress it and suck all the energy out of it.
I like the color red.I find myself drawn to the red clothes in a store and red flowers.Having said that,I also find that red flowers can pose a challenge when it comes to photography.I find they often turn out more orange than red.Any suggestions on how to fix that? I see your flowers are a beautiful shade of red.

Beautiful plant and pictures. I always use red when I want something to stand out, such as in email. I enjoyed the explanation of the color red. Great post!
I think I prefer the red leaves on the plant to any of the other uses of red, although I do like cardinals and red roses.
I love the shadows on this plant, and the last picture almost looks like flames leaping up!! Now gone to look at Jake and Baby! Hope they haven't gone to Selby Gardens, it would be trashed by now!!
The psychology of colors ... what a beauty this is.
Do you know what type of plant this is? I wonder. I have several different varieties of croton and love them.. they have shades of red and yellow and even a dark burgundy and are all so different looking. They do tax my mind though when I try to keep them going as they tend to drop their lower leaves and I don't know what to do with them then.
That was a neat informative twist with your colorful tea plant! I love red as well..just brightens everything up and it's amazing how it works well with so many colors~
I loved the red flowers - and the info on red - I love red - can't say I feel comfortable wearing in it.
Love, sandie
Love all the fun tid bits you add.... cool!
I love how red plants and flowers seem to shout "Look at me!". Beautiful shots, the lighting is perfect.
