our very first BLT with Bobby Appleseeds Home Grown Maters on Melba Thin Toasted Rye!
That was the First Wow, we gobbled it up or down, which ever you call it and went in the back yard and what did appear to our wondering eyes?
Can you see the butterfly? maybe its a moth, don't know, but it is bright yellow
If floated around over the pool and landed square on a leaf that looks just like him. the flower was between the lens and the butterfly/moth? another WOW moment

Whatever it is, it's beautiful! And that BLT isn't half bad either. Can't wait for home grown tomatoes around here--if it'd just stop raining.
Best,
Bonnie
Ah, I can just taste those tomatoes... :)
Clever little fellow (or lady) that butterfly... I wonder how long it had to fly around looking for just the right spot to land?!
Both items are worthy of a second post. Bet that sandwich was delightful.
This is amazing!! I have to say I have NEVER seen a creature so well camoflauged, not even a chameleon. Wonder if those are the leaves they lay their eggs on? Do you know Melange? She should know. the first picture, I clicked several times till it was huge, and STILL did not see it! The sandwiches are making me drool!!!! And I must say you are a very good girl to use such thin bread, I would need TWO of those!
can't see what is it, yet awesome shot!
that sandwich looks so yummy!
now i'm hungry!!
betty
Well worth a second post! Awesome butterfly/moth and delicious-looking sandwich - my mouth is watering!
I wish I could have a bite of that BLT -- it looks delicious. The moth/butterfly looks great as well.
Your sandwich looks good enough to eat Ha Ha
Yum for the BLT, yes the green is neat looking also!
Double wow :)
I bet that BLT was delicious.
Very cool shot of the butterfly/moth. I can't believe how close in color it is to that leaf
That sandwich looked as good as a piece of chocolate to me!
And that was an unusual butterfly.

Oooooohhhhh it looks soooo good. Looks good enough to eat..
They can't make a bad BLT. Yum.
Sandra, hmmm not sure which is more appealing todfay - OK the BLT wins out this time.
WOW! I SAY WOW!!! On both of them! The sandwich looks delish and is my very favorite sandwich! The moth/butterfly is gorgeous too.
Better known as a BLT...
Oh boy I am coming over for lunch.
Save some of those juicy tomatoes.
This sandwich is killing me because I am on a diet and couldn't eat it even if I wanted to right now.
Oh gee, wonder if I could freeze mine?
The little round eye marking looks like it might be a variety of sulfur butterfly.
I have seen tiger swallowtail and black swallowtail and a small and very fast white butterfly but no sulfurs yet. I haven't seen any monarchs but they are here. Apparently, the word got around about our milkweed and they made a bee line for our yard. My milkweed had just started coming back up and I was looking yesterday and thought the leaves looked a little ragged. When I looked closer, there they were.... monarch caterpillars about a centimeter long.... I found 18 of them already. At this rate, I never will get any milkweed flowers.
Oh YUM...... That sammich looks so good.... I would 'wolf' that thing DOWN!!!!!!!
We've had horrible rains and storms today --but luckily for us, nothing severe (that I know of)... Lots of damage in TN..
Hugs,
Betsy
Yummy, the BLT looks delicious. I am so looking forward to some home grown maters.
No butterflies here yet so it's nice to see them. It could be a variety of sulfur but it looks a lot like a Least Skipper to me. It's the antenna that don't look quite right.
Can you beam me over one of those sammies??? Looks delish!
