The Colors of November

Colors of November in our backyard this week which means these are all Autumn Colors in our part of the state of Florida.
Bob and I are in our Autumn years, fast approaching the winter years. We have decided ONE of us needs to keep the memory cells working. I can hear and he can see, but someone needs to have a MIND
This is our life now....
Sandra: Did you put the peanut butter in the fridge?
Bob: NO, I did not!

Sandra: well, I have not used it today and you did so you had to have put it there.
Bob: NO, I did not!

Sandra: Well, it's strange the apricot jelly (he is the only one that eats it) is in the cabinet and the Jif is in the fridge.
Bob: Ok, so I did it! so what?
Sandra: Nothing, nothing at all, I just wanted you to admit you did it ( we both need to be RIGHT all of the time)

Commuication is a problem: Bob got in a Pencil Cactus with the weed whacker and had a bad allergic reaction.

Sandra: did you stop stinging?
Bob: Why?
Sandra: Because I want to know if you are still stinging. (a tad of aggravation in my voice)
Bob: Why do you care if I sing? (a lot of aggravation in his voice)
Sandra: S.T.I.N.G.I.N.G.  Did  YOU Stop Stinging.

I end up spelling a lot of words that have the same sound. Such is Old Age.....
---My memory's not as sharp as it used to be. Also, my memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

Good morning Sandra!
I enjoyed all of it…so funny…
Here it’s autumn also so we have no flowers at all. The cod winter is coming.
But I have one plant…the one in your photo N 4, I have it here, at home. Not in the garden.

::.do you have a new template???
I like it!!

Hugs

I was going to make a comment about the beautiful flowers in your yard but by the time I got to the bottom of your post I was laughing so hard I had forgotten what I was going to say.

Or maybe that's my bad memory!

Your wonderful pictures prove that you can still see, so I hope you will be madly snapping for years to come. Although I enjoyed your stories, I was once again reminded that old age isn't for the faint-hearted.

Good afternoon you clever gal - I think you are kidding about your memory - you are sharp as a tack.

I do have to tell you something funny - my grandson has an odd sense of humor - have no idea where he gets it either - and he will hide things of ours - move things - turn something upside down - just little subtle changes.

Ever see the movie Gaslight where her husband was trying to drive her crazy? Well that is sort of happening here!

And believe me I don't need any help at all.

Love, sandie

the conversations sound sort of like something you would hear around here except reversed. I'm the one who can't hear and Wade can't see. He's always getting mad at me because I don't hear what he says and I'm getting mad at him because he can't learn to speak up when he talks to me....lol

ROFL!!! You had hubby and I in tears from laughter! He says that will be us one day. He's much more laid back than myself so it works out...I'm always right. LOL
By the way, pretty flowers!
Happy Wednesday Sandra!

Love the quote, "Photos are the pilot life of memories". It is so true. I love looking through my photobooks and reliving our adventures. Those conversations could have taken place in our house except I'm the one hard of hearing. He is always right.......and rarely admits to being wrong. I'm less sure whether I'm right or not.
Its good that we can laugh at it. Love your autumn in Florida colours. Similar to ours.

LOVELY post from Florida, and your colors are way different than Northern California! Warm and colorful, thanks for sharing them with me as I woke up to the birdfeeder frozen over. Your memory seems fine to me.

Why did I call you Martha above? I don't even know a Martha! Just so you know, I typed in 'Bob' in the search box....I figured I would have some fun reading those....and I am sitting here with tears in my eyes from laughing.
