These are Jake's Popsicle's in our freezer. He chases the ball until his tongue drags the ground and every evening after the 5 pm ball game, he heads straight to the fridge and waits for his 4 bites of a Popsicle. Yes, he is spoiled. Baby does not like Popsicle at all so one bag for 3.98 last a couple of months.

So what does Baby like for a treat? I know she probably doesn't get all the exercise Jake does, but she must have a favorite treat.
Have never heard of a dog liking popsicles - cool!
Jake is curious...hummmm...
Oh...no, no...humans food is for humans. Dogs have their own food...but I have to say that sometimes the dog's food seams delicious...No, I've never ate dogs food...I just say it seems "yummy"! LoL...LOl...
I do...like popsicles..hehehheh
After a hot afternoon of running and playing those Popsicles would be just the thing to cool down. No human food for the kitties. When it's hot they get ice cubes in the water dish and maybe one or two to bat around the patio. They would rather play with them than eat one.
love, love, love jake!
yeah, my favourite is carrots" Mum chops them up and puts them in my kong wobbler, I have loads of fun rolling it around trying to get at them... sometimes I get whole carrots to chew on too, but they don't last long!
My friend gives his dog apples.
Oliver loves fruit popsicles on a stick and even tries to hold them with his front paws! Great idea on a hot day.
Best,
Bonnie
Hi. I just wanted to come by and personally thank you for your kind and encouraging comment about my book, Sunday's Child, which you left on Judy's blog.
Jake is so cute; Harriet loves popsicles, too. We also give her bites of apple, broccoli, carrot and banana.
Those dogs of yours are definitely spooled. Have fun doing so.
I'm guessing, from the pictures, that Jake is a Daddy's boy.
Hi Sandra, We don't have any pets presently (since we travel so much) --but when I had Duchess, she enjoyed some people food also at times...
Is Jake more Bob's and Baby more yours????? Usually, dogs with their different personalities go toward different adults.
Hugs,
Betsy
I'm going to have to get some popsicles for the girlz...they love ice cream!
Cute pics! My pups love ice cream, but I only give them a tiny taste as a treat. They have dog ice cream treats at Publix, but I haven't bought those yet. All three of them enjoy baby carrots and they do like ice cubes in their water. :)
Sandra, I'm having trouble reading my mail and loading some blogs. :( I don't know if it's google or my connection?? Hopefully my son will figure it out. Leaving now for Rambo's annual. ttys...
yes. baron and bb like carrots as we head out to the barn to the horses in the evenings. all 4 get raw hamburger or cooked rotisserie chicken added to their dog food. spoiled.
It's only right that he gets a treat for all that entertainment he gives you!
Not having any pets, at the moment... I have to find another type of comment.
And being the kind of gal, I am... -smirk- I had no trouble finding it!
A question? How come some men (yours and mine) still have such GREAT legs???????????
Don't know about your legs, but "MINE-went-south" a long time ago! -moan-
-giggggles-
"If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
Yummy Jake is definitely Southern boy. He knows how to cool off quickly.
Madi WOULD eat any piece of meat I offered her. She is 100% carnivorous. Once a year when we have honey baked ham she will get a very few small bites. Period!!
Her all time favorite human food is
my homemade cornbread. Guess she is a true Southern gal.
Hugs C
Your comment to Monica was right on! I laughed and laughed when I saw the Angry Birds. We got the actual board game and it is too much fun, I will be posting about it soon. Monica asked me awhile ago what Angry Birds was, she didn't know. Now it looks like they have flown to Sweden and invaded!
don't tell Rooster about those...he will be demanding them soon....
All the time girl!!! Pepper Nipper is very persnickety 'bout her doggie treats! Aren't they funny?
Pepper is thrilled with I toss her out an ice cube to chase 'round the carport. That 'ell have to do...I have too many grands to feed the dog their Popsicles! Heeehehehe!
God bless ya sweetie and have an amazin' day!!! :o)
Jake is a smart boy to like popsicles! Muffy loves fresh fruit like apples, strawberries and watermelon. No grapes though; they can shut down a dogs kidneys very fast.
I never thought of pops but our Crissy girl loves cooked carrots.
Cheers
I gave my first dog people food but she became such a beggar. I do not give my present dog people food unless I pretend to drop it. hahaha! I know, what's the difference?!
I am so glad to see how Jake has recovered from everything that befell him early in life. My husband and his brothers used to feed Soldier Twinkies when they were working on our Los Angeles home and I was living up here. Soldier became super fat fast and once he came to live with me, now us, I put a stop to it. Twinkies! I couldn't believe it. Hubby used to feed them table scraps, but after Samson's pancreas problems and since Soldier has to stay thin since his back injury, their days of fun foods are over.
I don't know if you knew I lost my parakeet on May 1 and then Angel on May 11. Thanks again for your kinds words. Because of that, I haven't read and commented on blogs as regularly as I usually do. I don't think you have to worry about losing track of me again because I will comment as I usually do soon and that should do it. I decided to change my regular blog to accommodate and show off pictures better instead of starting a new one. I will do photos only every Friday and continue with the usual stuff for the rest of the week. Thanks again, I am so glad we are becoming blogger friends.
My grandkids don't give Snicker people food except veggies once in a while. She does love ice cubes though.
I did when I had a little dog. He always knew the "last bite" would be his and wait intently for it.
Nothing like a good Popsicle after a ball game. Duke does get people food but mainly because his dad insists on giving a little bite of every meal he has. I keep telling him he shouldn't do that but he won't listen
yep, got to admit that Hurricane gets ice cream and so if we don't go to DQ (his favorite) then he gets the vanilla cups....spoiled brat!
Now is the 4 bites one whole one? Isn't that cold on the teeth? Brrr!
Okay don't tell anyone but yes I do feed Disco some people food - I mean heck - he is a people! lol
sandie
lol I never thought of giving my girls a Popsicle but they might would like them. I buy mine in a big box at Sams and they last a long time around here because the box is big. I don't give Jazz people food because it gives her the runs but Two loves people food so I sneak it to her when I can! lol
Yes, I give my three little children (dogs) human food. Yet when I learned chocolate can kill them, I was horrified.. A dog we owned till she was 17yrs and had to be put down, always ate our food. I cooked Italian minestrones, different kinds every night, with chicken or other meats for after. I cooked extra for the dog and she was so healthy and her coat very shiny.
That's one cool treat! Banjo gets to lick out my yogurt bowl after I am done. That's all the 'people' food he gets. :)
xo Catherine
Jake's popscicles! That is so endearing.
Do I give my pets people food...oh, yes I do. The ones that want it. Puss Puss and my Cougar that I lost last summer LOVE bacon...Cougar would wait patiently for his bites, but Puss will try to snag it off your plate or grab it out of your hand.
And then we had Shelby...one night my daughter was eating cookies and milk. She had her milk in hand and her cookies set on the end table.
She says, Mom, did Shelby just lick my cookies? I told her to pretend to watch TV but watch her...so we did and Shelby looked at her and then looked at me, and sneakily got a whole cookie....it was hilarious. She just didn't do stuff like that...but they were too much to resist.d
And she had these eye-brow that were so expressive...they would move up and down. Just fun to watch.
