Meet Jesse, the greyhound

Jesse was walking his Mom at Riverwalk
Bob/Sandra Story today.

We are lying in bed drinking our AM coffee.
Bob: “I think it’s warmer today than yesterday”

Sandra: “No, it’s 54, I checked when we got up, and yesterday it was 59. We have only had one night that we needed a second blanket so far”

Bob: “When my mother sold her house, Chet and I moved her all in one day, we used a pickup and a van from the furniture store.”  (NOTE: they moved her in 1957)

Sandra: “What? How did you get to there from our discussion of the weather?” (Ignoring the fact I have heard this story a dozen times)

And the answer is…..
I said Blanket, he thought zip out lining of the windbreaker he loved in 1957, and the lining was warm as a blanket. He wore the windbreaker with the lining zipped in to move in the snow….
GO FIGURE

The first closeup makes me think Jesse is an older dog, but now I am not sure. It has been like summer here and we have been running the air conditioning, no kidding. In December! I have never seen such a thing. Global Warming for sure. But I am NOT complaining!!! The leaves have come out on our lilac bush, small and light green.

Mr.T would fully understand this post.
He needs to be a mind reader living with me. My conversations jump about all of the time from subject to subject. Most of the time he manages to keep up. lol
You could say we are fairly in tune with each other. Should be after 52 years together.

It's his age! *sniggers* Jesse is lovely. Quite like my pal Maddy over at http://homeiswherethehoundsare.blogspot.co.uk/ You should pop over. Her brother Beckett is my best mate and Maddy & Veil (sister) are distantly related to me.

Th Greyhound brought back memories of one we had when I was a young teen. His name was Sparky.Great dog, until he got into the chicken coop.

Conversations have a way of changing directions here, too.

Love the greyhound. I thought of adopting one retired from the tracks in our state. The fee was insanely high especially when they usually put a greyhound down after its racing days are over. Needless to say, I never adopted one.

We had a conversation just like that here this morning. I said - "How do you jump from one thing to another like that?" He says - "It's a gift!!!!" Oh,brother!!!!!!

Nice dog pics.

Funny how the mind works! Sometimes, even when it doesn't really make sense, I can figure out what my husband is thinking when he skips from one subject to another. And sometimes not. :))

Jesse is a handsome dog!
You and Bob crack me up! I'll have to show this to hubby later. I've done that to hubby and I explain it to him and we both laugh!:)

I love the sunshine today, but I would like some cooler weather. :)

Funny how the mind jumps and makes connections like that!

Reminds me of that word came...where you get to a totally different word by changing one letter at a time...

Ohhhhhh, I love, love, love rescued Greyhounds!!! Love 'em to bits. If we could have a dog, I'd want a rescued Greyhound.

Can't... Our daughter up the street, could never come in our house again. Allergic *muchly*, to dogs.

Ahhhh thank you for the Bob/Sandra story. !!!! He changes topics in mid stream too. But he'll say, that he was really continuing the topic, just with another thought, or some such. -Yish- ,-)

Let's see.... jacket lining to snow, blanket to moving... Oh, I get it - Jesse is white as snow, short-haired and needs a blanket or a jacket with lining! Bwahhhh! Great pictures of that sweet baby. :)

You know what they say...women think out of the right side of their brain and men think out of the WRONG side of theirs!! :-) And men say they can't figure us out! ha! ha!

Honey men don't stay on track at all - that is why they don't understand what we are talking about and are always somewhere else. LOL

Gray hounds look a little odd to me.

Love, sandie

A story of a drifting mind, something we all do and recognize. The dog is gorgeous.

Jesse is a beautiful dog. Isn't it funny what things can trigger memories of something else.
