Lost Kangaroo Pub

Can you find Bob in the first two reflections? I did not see him until I uploaded. Here is the scoop on ME... I have been off the computer for five days, due to my leg/hip/back problems.. this is on going and will the rest of my life. Osteoarthritis in lower spine and hip has caused spinal stenosis which pinches the nerve.. Exercise and changes in routine are the only way to help the pain.  This means limiting the time on computer... Also Jake has hip problems and twisted his right hind leg, and we have had to make changes for him to.... I am not sure what I will do yet.... I may be on and off, I may just quit... will let you know.

This is one of the buildings on our Old Main Street in downtown Bradenton..

Hello Sandra, I hope you do not quit. I enjoy seeing your creative images and post. I did find Bob, but I really had to look a few times. The pub sounds like a neat place. Great photos. I hope you and Jake feel better soon. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!

So sorry about you and Jake being in pain. I am praying.

I like Terri's idea of a "where's Bob" photo series!

Speaking of kangaroos, that is what Theo reminds us of!

Hi Sandra, I was just about to e-mail you, then I saw you had posted. So sorry for all the pains and poor Jake as well. Hope you don't quit, I would miss you but when our health and comfort is an issue there's no contest. Liked the photos, great name for a pub.

Hi Sandra, I wholeheartedly support you in whatever you need to do for you, Jake and Bob. AND I sincerely hope you don't quit. Or at least if you do that we find a way to stay in touch. I still hope to make it to Florida to meet you in person. "Hang in there" seems like a trite thing to say under the circumstances, but I believe you're stronger than you think. You've got this. Be kind to you and know that you are loved by so very many. Sending you love, hugZ and healing light, db&n

I just have to comment and say that this post was done before 8:00 this morn, and I have been here at least two previous times checking to see if maybe you had posted a post. The post did not show...I don't understand that. I have it happen to me fairly often with blogs...some of them I will think well maybe I only imagined checking in, but yours I KNOW I did.

Yes, I spy Bob!! :-) Cute photos of the pub and love all the other photos too. They tell me I also have stenosis and degenerative disk (c)? disease to go along with the bad hip prosthesis, BUT I also know that the best thing I can do for it is to stay off the computer (well, and get a hip revision). I find that the less time on the computer the better. That's why I've joined Instagram, because I can keep taking photos and uploading them to Instagram without having to sit at my desk or on the couch with my laptop. It's perfect for someone like me. I too don't know how often I can keep blogging because it requires so much time at this desk, or sitting in general. I hope you can get relief, but I sure hope you don't quit altogether!! Don't even consider that. Please. xoxo (PS I've been gone a week to Texas and another week to SW Wisconsin to work on a relative's estate, which we'll be doing more of in the future so less time blogging.) I hope you have a good weekend. I'm sorry to hear about Jake too! When it rains it pours. :-(

Well I want you to know that if you quit it will make me very very sad. I'll understand your reason for it but it will still make me very very sad.

i have been mostly off computer lately. Mine is eyesight combined with the ever present and ever changing computer idiosyncrasies. i hope you find a way to continue blogging but pain free. i have relatives and friends with that stenosis condition, and it is definitely rough. Do what is best for you, my friend.

Well Sandra.....PLEASE DON'T QUIT!!!
I would miss your humor and adventures.
I'm so sorry you have such problems...tell "Arthur"-itis, to go away.
I'm having a hard time getting my energy back after being on my Mission trip for 2 weeks...long time living in a tent and using porta potties.
It was a very good time and fulfilling even with my whining.

I had to look twice, but I see him! Hope you get to feeling better soon. I know that I often think of quitting because I spend way too much time sitting and it's NOT good for me. So I've cut down on posting and commenting. I just can't give it up entirely, because I do enjoy visiting all my friends. Hope you keep posting when you can, but I understand if you can't...your health comes first! Take care.

Sorry to hear how much pain you are in. I get flare ups in my lower back but luckily its good at the moment but I know what you mean about sitting . I hope you can find a solution other than quitting, I have seen advertised special rest for standing at a computer maybe that would help. Hang in there and keep blogging even if its only once a month.

I could not see Bob in the first picture but spotted him right away in the second one. Sweet Sandra I am so sorry to hear that you are in such pain and that Jake has issues and pain. I understand about the pain and computer, I have days I cannot be on it because of the pain. I hope you do not have to quit blogging all together. Maybe you can at least blog and share some of your wonderful pictures when you feel up to it. A lot of people will miss you a lot if you quit for good. Do whatever you have to do though my sweet friend to make it much less painful for you. Pain is not an easy thing to live with. Love and hugs and hope you and Jake both are doing much better very soon. Keeping you both in prayers.

Love the Pub, looks like a nice one. Yes I see Bob! So sorry about your pain. I don't want to see you leave but slowing down sounds like a good option.

How have I never heard of this Pub? (Not like I haven't been in/through Bradenton 100 times ... lol!) Seriously, that looks exactly like the type of spot DH and I love to frequent.

I'm working backwards this afternoon ... so YES, I was aghast until I kept reading and realized your April Fool's prank. And I love how you set us up for that with your 'innocent' comment in your last line above. Clever girl!

Please, please feel better soon ... both you and Jake!

My dad had surgery for spinal stenosis from a neurosurgeon. (All the other docs couldn't help him and told him incorrect info too.) He waited too long and it affected his ability to walk and he needed special shoes and a walker after that. Be sure to get help if your ability to walk starts getting affected. See a neurosurgeon at that point. Don't mess around with it.

I haven't been blogging much either. My daughter who lost a baby last year almost lost another a couple weeks ago. They were able to stop labor. No she is on bedrest and I am running her around to all her appointments and entertaining her when I can. Blogging is on the back burner. So I'll visit when I can.

I don't know how your back is doing now, but this may help:

It sits on my countertop. I got one of those cushy mats for underfoot, too.
