We were mopping and vacuuming the floors, TV talking, Jake on the sofa watching and At 5:28 on Saturday May 21, 2016, our Cable/Internet/Phone modem went down and NOTHING worked... It was dark outside, we had 3 hours before daylight, nowhere to go and nothing to do... I could read my Kindle but then what would Bob Do???
NO TV for Bob...
NO Tablet for ME
NO Laptop for ME
NO Desktop for ME..
NO INTERNET AT ALL
No Phone..doesn't matter on this one, I mean who would we call that time of the morning?
YES, we had POWER but what good is power without INTERNET?
Bob, do you think I should use the NEW SMART phone to call the provider?
No, give it a little while..
Should I call Now?
Give it a few more minutes....
SUDDENLY IT ALL CAME BACK ON...
The phone had a dial tone, the TV talked, the Tablet Connected...
Thank you Thank you Thank You Brighthouse.
IT CAME BACK ON ALL BY ITSELF AT 5:48 AM...
We were without for TEN WHOLE MINUTES...What a Disaster....
P.S. we kept busy with doing the floors while waiting....

I don't know what to say. Ten minutes is a very long time to be without all those "things"!!
Best,
Bonnie
Good morning, I was thinking now that is a disaster. Until I read it was only ten minutes, we are all addicted to technology. Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!
10 minutes can seem like a L O N G time!!!
You will have to write a book about how you survived those 10 minutes!
Can you hear me humming the theme to Twilight Zone!!
That is odddddd but I'm glad it ended well
Bryan's coat tale: What was the funniest was the look on his face when I said you can't wear that. He looked at me as if to say, I finally bought a coat that you have bugged me about and you say I can't wear it!
Hugs Cecilia
It is amazing how connected we are today......
LOL...Thanks for the morning giggle Sandra! I keep a room of "paper books" (remember those...from the olden times?)just in case that ever happens to us! LOL
Makes you wonder how people stood it without all this tech. I guess they just didn't know what they were missing. Funny!
Oh Sandra! Luckily it had a happy ending!
Boy we do take power for granted. I say same thing.
Now what?
Only where I live. Sometimes it does not come on till 6 at night.
Down the road about half hour from us. The town is called West Guildford. They have all the lines to put people computer lines up and running for new people. And some days in the winter especially. That is when they decide to shut off our town. Rats.
So if we had 10 minutes only out. What a bonus that would be for us.
This just cracked me up. Lol However would we survive without our internet!! (Not that i want to try it)
😃
You are HILARIOUS!!!!! Have you seen that commercial where the family has lost its internet and they are absolutely LOSING it??? In much the same manner you and Bob did??? Oh, how we love you guys!!
10 minutes feels like an eternity when you can't connect to the internet
Looking at a brighter side to this predicament, Sandra, you now have clean floors! I can certainly identify with your frustration -- no internet will be our biggest disappointment when we return to the VA house next month. Thankfully, we can go to the local McDonald's for our wi-fi "fix." We certainly are addicts to the internet :-)
What a hardship...some people would drop dead from that. Glad you're okay.
Phew! That was a long 10 minutes! :)))
I am always amazed at how dependent I am on those things when I lose them.
This is so funny but so true! I am constantly looking for ways to stay charged....when I do have the net.....how did we live before the net? Lol
10 minutes is a long time without the internet, phone and t.v.! glad it was only 10 minutes for you. :)
Ten minutes without internet is an eternity. Glad you got the floors done!
