Since it is only 3 days until our Thanksgiving Day, I wanted you to meet Kathi Papaleo and her rescue dog Melody... Kathi had a booth selling the blankets to raise funds for Bishop Animal Shelter, the host for the festival. She rescued Melody from Bishop.
Global Comfort FAB (fabulous animal blankets) is a group of people World Wide that make blankets to donate to animals in need. If you are interested in joining you can find the group on FACEBOOK by searching for Global Comfort Fab... it is a private group and you will need to click join if your are interested in making blankets.
I am thankful there are people who care for animals all over the world.

What a great organization! Melody had the cutest little upturned nose. I like that fringe on Kathi's top, it is pretty.
Melody sort of looks like Wade's step mom's dog. I think he was a rescue also.
I have a friend who does a lot of sewing and she saves all her scrap fabric to turn in to dog blankets that she donates to the shelters

Oh, I wish I could fly over there and adopt every one of those dogs in carriers! I love little Melody - a lucky girl. Great organization that makes blankets for animals in need.
Such a lovely idea...people do that for children, too. Make quilts/blankets for them I mean. And I suppose some are rescued, too, now that I think about it.

It is good I was not there...I would have loaded my vehicle with dogs needing homes.

what a wonderful thing to do for animals!!! there's a pup in the front left of the last pic that reminds me of Jake and Rocket. :)
I woke up to a fox in our backyard eating bird seed. we had a really cold night here last night and I'm guessing he's really hungry. they rarely have rabies and run away as soon as they hear or see you. I did take a few pics. :)
