Project 3- The World at Your Feet. totally awesome tips for photography over there and she gave me lots to think about.
I stood staring at our dilapidated fence of 27 years with camera in hand thinking about what she said.
Exclude the horizon, look for details in the big picture. I looked through the fence and on the fence and up and down the fence.
I changed the perspective of the ugly old fence by looking UP the fence
Look for patterns and designs...
find something not easily recognizable to make us focus on the photo not the subject

I love all of these. I like getting up close and personal with things and not showing the big picture. Less distraction that way I think. I'm going to head over and check out the link

Excellent application of what you learned. Those are the kind of photos I tend to be drawn to; both snapping and viewing.
Oh my GOSH! You did great!!! This is fabulous, and it is not a fence anymore. It is a portal for tricks of the eye and all kinds of different images. Here is what happened with me and the first picture. I looked at it a long time. Did not scroll or read, just had fun trying to figure out what it was, and then see if I was right. I truly thought it was a metal strip with raised places that had been attached to wood. Can you see it? I never did see what it really was till I scrolled and read. I love eye tricks like this. You learned the lesson SO well, and I will be going to the link for sure. Now on to picture three. It looks like the floor of a deck that is coming apart, do not walk on it! Picture five looks like an ariel view of a plowed field, we have plenty here. Can you SEE it? You have outdone yourself. Only an artist's brain would read this link and then snap perfection on the very first try... BRAVO!

I know to do these things, but just don't always practice them...just like I swear to myself I am always going to remember to look behind me when I get out to take a picture, but get in a hurry and don't.
