I LOVE Books and Movies

Baldacci and Child are my two most favorite of all authors. If I were stranded on a desert island, I would want all the books these two wrote.
I recently started re-reading all their books. Absolute Power was my first by Baldacci and I just read it again and it still scares me silly...I have read all his books except for The Fix and that I will fix soon. I read Edgar Rice Burroughs, Tarzan and the city of gold until the book was ragged when I was much younger. I may read it again.
I read King Author and the Knights of the round table, and every Western written. I had a Bible story book and read over and over David and Goliath and Daniel in the Lions den. I loved fairy tales to.

Movies, TV shows and  Books,
If they want my LOOKS,
They Must be fiction with fighting or flames
And Things that go boom or bang, that's my thang.
FBI, DEA, CIA all those Names
Jack  Reacher and Jack Ryan,
that is the books I am a buyin...
Harry Bosch and Briggs Tanner, Will Trent,
these are the guys I love and money well spent.
Erica Spindler and Fern Michaels are in the mix
A lot of women authors can give me my fix.
Add Detective Michael Bennett
he is also in it....

Documentaries NO! OH NO!
Non-Fiction, you must GO!

Fire and Flames, Booms and Bangs,
Cars that go fast, and helipcoters and Planes.
Lee Child and David Baldacci
John Grisham and John Sandford
Tom Clancy and Michael Connelly
.
You say Chopin, I say Patsy Cline.
You say Mary Poppins, I say Crocodile Dundee.
We are all different you see
We can only be what we BE...
We don't have to agree,
Because where would all the writers be..
If we were all the same as ME..

I am so impressed and tickled with your poem! A new side of you, and so cool! You said it all about yourself, and made it rhyme perfectly!! I read it over several times. LOVE the header, too!

Clever poem and I love that cool header! I love to read too, but haven't taken time to do much of it as of late. My TBR stack is growing and I'm anxious to just take a few days and do nothing but read! Love a good mystery and would you believe that I haven't read Baldacci yet? I got one of his books at the resale shop and it's in my stack, can't wait to read it.

From puns to poems. You do them both well. I love to read also and stick mainly to mystery. Since I only read free books on my kindle I'm not real particular about the author. So long as the story sounds interesting I'll read it. When I was buying books I used to read Stephen King Dean Koontz and Robin Cook. I have been wanting to read James Patterson's books so maybe one of these days I'll break down and buy one

Good morning, Sandra! What a cute poem! You are talented. I usually like mysteries, I have read some Tom Clancy and James Patterson's books. I look for the cheap or free kindle books on Amazon or borrow ebooks from my library. Happy Saturday, enjoy your Memorial Day weekend!

I take reading in spells but the last few months I have been reading more. I try to lay in bed and relax by reading for about 15 to 20 mins every evening before bed. I love a good murder mystery! I love reading about vampires and witches. Then there are the times I like a good love story! Great job lady....keep on reading.

Wonderful poem...been meaning to ask you have you read any of the CJ Box books...I have not read them all, just read most of the ones with Joe Pickett...I think you might like them. They were sort of different.

Also, have you read any by Tami Hoag? You have to watch hers...some are more romance, but the ones that are mystery are really good.

And did you ever read Last of the Breed by Louis L'Amour? It is NOT a western. If your library has it, try it.

Such a fun poem and also fun to learn about your book interests. I hope you have a very nice day!

You are a lady of many talents Sandra, loved the poem. You and I have similar tastes in what we like, movies too, except I enjoy some non-fiction books, travel books, wildlife books and biographies, depending on who the person is. I loved Edgar Rice Burroughs Tarzan series when I was young. My Uncle Peter had a big collection of books and he used to let me borrow them, westerns too :)

Your book poem made me smile. Harry Bosch is a great character, I agree. Do you read the Patrick O'Brian series, I love it and there is lots of boom and bang in them, due to Jack Aubrey being a captain on battle ships sent all over the world in 1805 and thereabouts.

Double ditto on the authors and books...and of course Jessie Stone!!
You should consider participating in Thoroughly Poetic Thursday sometime.
I think we'll be starting at the beginning of the alphabet again.

Hi Sandra, I love your header and adore your poem. I have read a few David Baldacci and many John Grishams. None of the others you mention. I have just finished a hard cover novel by Frederick Forsyth: The Negotiator. It was set in the 80' had a lot about the cold war and the President's only son is kidnapped at Oxford University (UK) and later killed. I literally (excuse the pun!) plowed through it. It was SUCH hard and slow reading. Awful. And I always LOVED FF. But this one was so longwinded and ended obscurely; in short it was awful. I finished it, don't know why. Just did. And breathed a sigh of relief, picked up my Kindle and carried on reading my "normal" books again. Have a great day. Jo xx

What a perfect poem!! I can usually be found reading one book, while listening to another! Like you, I meed mystery and intrigue...but I thrive on Stephen King and Dean Koontz!

Gosh, but your new header gives me goose-bumps!

Your poem is so fun ... and telling. Love this venue of getting to know you a little better each day. :)
You know I love Baldacci and Childs, too. Are you, by chance, a Deaver fan? Here, I was so sure I'd have time to relax and read while we were gone but came up zilch, nada; mostly exhausted. LOL.

Oh my goodness! You're definitely multi-talented! And Absolute Power. I loved that made into a movie with Clint Eastwood.
