Things You Might Not Know

I decided to share a little more of my 'knowlege' learned over the 74 years of my life.

*    If you suffer from vertigo or dizzy spells, Dramamine will take care of it for 4 hours at a time. Above is the Wal-Mart brand and it works as well as Dramamine. WAY back when I was in my late 20's, I suffered dizzy spells for a while and the doctor gave me little aqua and white football shaped pills. they helped a lot. When time to refill he said just use Dramamine.
This week I bent over to hug Big Boy and had to catch myself from a tumble head over heels on his back and yell for Bob to come hold my hand. One hour later I was walking fine.  Allergy related

*   Vertigo comes once in a while and for that I am thankful. Mine appears to be allergy related from inner ear problems. We are buried in Pollen right now.

*   It takes me 7 minutes to put the sheets back on the bed after I wash them. I consider this EXCERCISE...

*   Tampa Bay area gets an average of 12 Robo calls per SECOND.... I belive this, we got 11 Robo calls in 5 hours on one day... they are driving me nuts over the past couple of weeks.

I get vertigo too, and I cannot walk when I get it. When I was young, I had to crawl on my hands and knees, and got severe nausea from it. Even when I lay down and close my eyes, things STILL spin around! I need to buy some more Dramamine! I ran out, and had a mild spell the other day. Guess I will try this W.M. brand, likely lots cheaper. And more fun to buy it in w.M. than a drug store. GREAT advice, more please.

Interesting stuff that you know. I get vertigo but I was given the Instructions of the Epley Maneuver. https://youtu.be/9SLm76jQg3g

Taking a tablet sounds easier.

I've never had vertigo and hopefully never will. But at least now I know what to get for it.
Robo calls are a real pain in the butt

I get positional vertigo (looking up tall buildings, for example, or if not having something to focus on when at height myself, or moving too fast in certain ways) and have also experienced it a couple of times with viral infections. Closing my eyes and tapping the bony part behind the ear usually resets me. Or an hour lying down in a darkened room.

I too consider bed-making (and housework generally) as exercise.

Get the occasional nuisance call here, but nothing much really. Dad gets heaps. YAM xx

Those calls make me nuts!
Kelly told me about the Dramamine and it works!
I get it once in awhile too.
Keep up the hints - I love them.

Occasional vertigo but not bad enough to need medication, thankfully.

Lately I am considering getting up from the sewing machine to the ironing board exercise. Moving is moving.

ROBO CALLS - grr. I've reviewed some suggested actions and programs but haven't found a solution for us. Will now check out the one from Google.

Good to know! When I have a little bit of dizziness it's from low blood pressure...which I've had all my life! We were just talking about the blockers you put on your phone with someone yesterday! They are a nuisance!

I do the DIZZY things sometimes and I am not a BLONDE! haha....I do it like you with the seasonal stuff and from time to time my BP will drop lower then it should and I get dizzy with that. Several months ago having issues sleeping I started taking some Tylenol PM but had to stop. Took a few times taking it before I realized that some of my dizzy spells were happening the day after taking the Tylenol PM. Be careful with bending to love on the dogs. Exercise? I am getting some taking the dogs out on a leash ~ not the way I wanted to do it. HEADACHES......I know it is hard on them as it is on me, they are used to that fence.

I do get the allergy related vertigo occasionally.
Last year it was so bad that when I turned over in bed, I had to hold on to the edge. I thought I was going to fall off the bed. Looking up into my high cupboards can do it to me too.
Robo calls are the worse. I have such a long list of blocked numbers...we can do that from a button on our landline. It has helped tremendously.
I agree that changing the bedding is exercise. We have a California King and it is extra high. It's a whole exercise program all rolled into one.

I've never had a spell of vertigo, but it's more common than I once believed … good info here! The pollen dust is unbelievable, but thankfully I'm one of those weird people to enjoys sneezing. Those robo calls are SO annoying!!!I've just about convinced Tom to ignore the ringing - unless the caller ID shows its someone we know. My theory, if it's something important they'll leave a voice-mail.

Sorry about your vertigo and dizzy spells and the fact that the pollen is bad right now. Take Care

I don't get those dizzy spells, but diabetes can make you dizzy too, so I understand a bit. I'm glad I have stuff I can grab onto on my way to the kitchen in the mornings. I don't like open spaces any more. If I ever did. I just discovered a wonderful thing on my new cell phone, a button to press to stop all calls from a certain number. It would so help if I could remember what doing that is called. But, old age.....what can I say?

I have never dealt with vertigo, but it is my understanding that it can really be troublesome. Glad you found something that helps with this.
