You MAY be A Senior...

You may be a senior.... if you injured yourself opening the cover on the TV remote, to change the battery. (skin torn by plastic, causing bleeding and a bandaid)

You may be a senior.....if you wake up on Tuesday morning and think is this Saturday or Sunday. While trying to decide, you remember you went to the YMCA yesterday, because you spy the book, your friend brought to the Y for you, which means today has to be Tuesday because you went to the Y yesterday. I was about to pick up my phone and check the day, time and date..

You may be a senior....if you wake up and your thumb is throbbing because you struggled to open a jar of peanut butter the day before....

It's Tuesday NOW and all three of these happened TODAY..... it is TUESDAY, Right?

Hello Sandra,

Hubby and I loose track of the days sometimes. We must remember Doctor Appts, trash day and so on. Being retired every days is a Saturday or Sunday.

I hope you have a great day!

If it's Tuesday then is the Tue pill section empty because I took them or it needs refilled?
Have a great day no matter which calendar day it is. It still has 24 hr to remind us how life has changed over time.

Not a good way to start the day, but I tell you I have some terrible times with keeping up with what day it is.

I AM A SENIOR FOR SURE!

Hey sorry I haven't read emails recently - got Andy off to Guatemala for a mission trip and then my son and his family came and left today. Thought I'd start all new.

Yup. And diurnal disorientation - I've been up in the night and down in the day (no matter what that day is called)... sigh... Maybe already adjusting to OZ time. YAM xx

HaHa...I have to laugh because I wondered on waking up this morning if it was Saturday too.
We missed church this week and the whole week just doesn't make sense.
I bounced around all night long fretting about some family matters. Gave it to the Lord and then took it all back again...over and over...
Glad to finally get up and start the day officially.
So onward!!!

This sounds JUST like me! And I can do you one better. I will go an entire day, thinking it is the wrong day! I have done this at least twice recently. And I always have bruises and cuts. Great post, because you make it seem funny. I guess we all should.

I'm not always sure first thing in the morning what day it is, either. But as long as I find out before I miss anything important, never mind! ;)

GUILTY as charged! Sooo glad I'm not the only one who needs clues before realizing what day it is.

I can't tell you how many times I've thought it was Wednesday...and it was Tuesday...The middle of the week is when I get all turned about!

I can add to your list! But I'll refrain.

I'll take your word for it being Tuesday. Retired, don't care as long as I can get to the peanut butter & have enough energy to open the jar of blackberry fruit spread. NOW, where did I put the knife to spread it? The bread? Out of bread? Put everything back ...afterall tomorrow's another day.

Not quite there, although I have some of the problems you listed.

Hmmm, let me think about WHAT day it was yesterday. Yes, I know it was Tuesday because we walked to a local restaurant for their "Happy Hour" specials

Yep, sounds familiar. Mark keeps asking me what day it is. I usually know because of bowling and doctor's appointments. He doesn't leave the house much except for his walks.
